Sirius and XM to merge?
Its a possibility according to the above linked article from the Hollywood reporter.
My thoughts? I'm all for it, especially if it would mean I could get Major League Baseball without having to buy a new radio or subscription.
Let me just say that I love Sirius I litterally have trouble listening to over the air radio these days because Sirius is so far and away better.
I had a choice to make between XM and Sirius I went with Sirius because it had the exclusive rights to the NFL the favorite sports league in the Old Country Corner. It also has Wrestling Observer Live and now Howard Stern though Stern was not a factor in my choice by any means.
The fact is that I haven't regretted the Sirius purchase for a second since I set it up on 8/13/2005.
I think a merger wouldn't be the worst thing for the 2 companies, especially since they wouldn't have to spend so much on acquiring talent and offering such deep discounts on their equipment to get people to choose them over their competitor.
The Caretaker will follow this story as it develops, and if we have to we will send Old Country Reporters out into the field to do their job.
