Hello and Welcome to the Old Country Corner.

What's the Old Country Corner? Well, for those of you that listen to the Ric & Steve...err...Karl Show you already are familiar with the Corner. For those that don't listen, you should really start.

Anyway, The Old Country Corner is what some would charitably call my own brand of Humor. On the Ric & Steve...err...Karl Show the humor is strictly connected to the wacky world of professional wrestling. On the Old Country Blog, I will cover a wider range of subjects and mix in serious thoughts with the supposed humorous ones.

This blog is intended to be a preview of an eventually Old Country Corner website. I intend to add more people to the blogging team as time passes and rest assured anyone I add will have the Old Country Stamp of approval. So when you get that, you know you're going to get quality.

I'll answer 2 questions off the bat:

Q: Why is it called the Old Country Corner?
A: Well, it all goes back to a famous clip on YouTube of the Iron Sheik yelling at B. Brian Blair. I won't like the video due to language content but search for Iron Sheik on YouTube and it will appear. Anyway, in the video he talks about humbling Brian Blair in "the Old Country Way" and I used that and it evolved to my emails to Ric & Steve...err...Karl being known as Casey's Old Country Corner.

Q: Fess up, there's more to it than that and you know it.
A: Is this really a question, looks like a statement to me. Anyway, credit for the name goes to Ric Gillespie (or as he's known in the Old Country Corner, Dic Lesbian) of Canvas Chronicle.com ok, I got a plug in for you, I hope you're happy Ric~!
