MLB: League Championship Series Predictions

Ok, so I was 0-4 in the first round of the playoffs, but that just means I can only go up from there.


National League Championship Series: St. Louis Cardinals Vs. New York Mets.
I'm not a fan of either team but I hate the Cardinals that much more. You have some good players sprinkled all over the field on both sides.
I am not surprised that the Mets have reached this point as their series with the Dodgers was the one I was least sure about. I am mildly surprised by the Cardinals appearance in the LCS because of how they entered the playoffs.
As for the series itself because it is a 7 game series that means pitching depth isthe biggest key. However, given that I cursed all of the teams I picked in the last round, I am going to try this again. I want the Cardinals to lose so...
Winner: St. Louis Cardinals 4 games to 2.

American League Championship Series: Oakland Athletics Vs. Detroit Tigers
This series to me is the key to the rest of the playoffs. As a result of the American League winning yet another All-star game, the winning team in this series will have home field throughout the World Series.
I neither love nor hate either one of these times. Truth is I'm fine with whomever wins this series and believe that the level of talent in the AL is a lot higher than in the NL and whomever wins this series will win it all.
I think Oakland probably has the stronger pitching staff from top to bottom and I would much rather have the Oakland line-up than Detroit's. However, there is just something special going on in Detroit. It is hard to pick against the Tigers, and while I am hoping that my picking the Cardinals curses them to lose, I am going to base this prediction on the fact that I can't possibly predict every series incorrectly.
Winner: Detroit Tigers 4 games to 3.
