MLB: The OCC World Series Prediction

It is time for Major League Baseball's fall classic. I must admit that the only reasons I care about this series at all are because of the great story that is the Detroit Tigers and my loathing of the St. Louserous Cardinals.

I honestly don't even know why they're bothering to play this series at all. I think that the Tigers will win the series and I think this because the American League is far superior to the National league at this point.
Plus, I mean have you not been paying attention. Boston 2 years ago, the White Sox last season, 2 franchises that hadn't won in so long finally getting over the hump. Sure, the Tigers won more recently than the 19 teens, but neither Chicago or Boston suffered the embarrassment of 119 losses in a season and I highly doubt they each saw stretches of 13 years below .500. So its like the Tigers have lost enough that it is there turn, besides its never going to be the Cubs turn and probably never going to be Cleveland's either so why not Detroit?
I don't like St. Louis' pitching, I don't like the fact that the Tigers have home field (I actually like it from the standpoint that I'm picking Detroit but I'm trying to advocate for the Cardinals here) but I do like Albert Pujols. It is hard for me to pick against this guy at anything because he is so good. But his presence didn't stop Boston from beating the Cardinals down in 2004 and isn't likely to help this time either.

The pick - Tigers 4, Cardinals 1
I don't want to pick the sweep even though I can't help but think its coming.

Now given that I am 2/4 on the post season you may feel free to bet on St. Louis, I will not be offended.
