- Robert Roode issues an open challenge
- Lance Hoyt & Ron Killings Vs. Austin Starr & Alex Shelley

- X-division Title: Chris Sabin Vs. Christopher Daniels
- NWA Tag Titles: LAX w/Konnan Vs. America's Most Wanted w/Gail Kim
- NWA World Heavyweight Title: Abyss Vs. Sting
- Kurt Angle Vs. Samoa Joe
We start with the Preshow. Christy Hemme is in the back trying to get the opinions from the fans on who will win Angle Vs. Joe.
LAX shows up and the fans start chanting "USA" "USA" "USA"
Don West and Mike Tenay are in the arena to run down the card.
Eric Young is making his way to the ringside area. Young is trying to tell us what the big secret is but he gets interrupted by Robert Roode.
Roode issues an open challenge to anyone in the building. The fans chant "Eric" "Eric". Roode and the fans want Eric Young to accept the open challenge. Roode tells Young if he doesn't wrestle him, he'll likely be fired. Roode hits Young with the mic and asks for the bell to be rung.
Crowd chanting "Lets Go Eric, Lets go". I'm going to hand it to TNA Robert Roode's new gimmick has gotten so over he's still on the freaking pre-show. Fans chant "You still suck" and its not toward Eric Young.
Young hits his top-rope elbow and it gets a 2 count. Eric Young gets distracted by Ms. Brooks and her tremendous talents. Roode gets the pin with both feet on the ropes.
The fans protest get Rudy Charles to restart the match. Now Eric Young uses his feet on the ropes to get the pin.
Winner: Eric Young
September 24, the day that changed pro wrestling, and so begins our first package of the night. The music playing in the background is the menu music off of the Monday Night Wars DVD.
Now we recap the Bound for Glory portion of the feud. Now they take us to the official match announcing. Then the back and forth from the training videos. That was a fun video package!
Now we're back with Christy Hemme and she's in Samoa Joe's locker room. She doesn't find Joe but LAX is in the house. Konnan and Homicide do a bit of talking and threaten to burn the flag tonight. Christy is pretty disgusted by the whole scene.
Christian Cage comes out and cuts a promo. AJ Styles doesn't like the words Christian says and jumps him from behind. The crowd wants the security to let them fight, but they're just going to have to wait.
Sting and Abyss Video package airs. Its the same one from yesterday.
James Mitchell is backstage and he's talking up the title match. I love this man's promos, all-time all my life. Mitchell says that Sting is riding in on a unicorn carrying a candy-cane. Abyss growls in the background.
Don West is out for the hard sell of the pay per view.
Now they show Kurt Angle's arrival at the iMPACT Zone and now we go to the music video to close out the pre show.
Neil Armstrong and Sting are on the moon!!! K-dog is up there too! Its like a giant moon party.
Pyro goes off and we're starting the PPV.
Match 1: The Movement Vs. Voodoo Kin Mafia, oh god
Well, at least they start with the 1 fucking match I don't want to see.
We don't get any mic work from the loser geek idiots. I am not complaining. I'd rather hear them talk as they just went for the pedigree and sweet chin music.
Winners: VKM
Oh, now we get mic work. Fuck! They're going to do stuff on Thursday, yawn.
Now they run down the card we already paid for, thanks for being helpful.
The question they keep asking is "Who is going to tap out first?" and so that tells me this might play in the finish somehow.
Stooges 1, 2 and 3 head to the ring as Raven comes out. Raven dishes out some tough love to Devine for eating the pin in that first match.
Borash in the back with the Naturals and Shane Douglas. Douglas runs down 3D who are apparently in Japan according to Douglas.
Match 2: Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt w/Jerry Lynn Vs. The Naturals w/Shane Douglas
Team 3D never lost a tables match according to the talking heads. So Royal Rumble 2000 never happened.
Crowd chants Lethal weapon and something tells me its not for Chase Stevens.I hope the crowd doesn't tire themselves out before the main event as they've been pretty boisterous up to this point. This is a pretty non-descriptive tag match so far. Its technically fine, but it is a little too long.
Naturals hit their finish and pick up the win. It was a fun match. Speculation is they fucked up their finish. Yeah, even the crowd is chanting it.
Borash with Konnan and they cut their second promo of the night. Jim Cornette is in the house. Konnan doesn't take orders from a white boy.
West and Tenay play the roles of talking heads to continue the LAX angle.
X-division video package airs seeming to indicate our next match.
Match 3: Christopher Daniels Vs. Chris Sabin
Daniels is with Borash before the match. He says that he and Styles are friends regardless of who has the belt. Now he's talking up Sabin's new attitude. Daniels claimed that he and AJ built the division, nice to leave out Lynn and Low Ki'.
Tenay says that Daniels realizes what Lynn did for the division, unlike Sabin. Well he sure didn't show it in his last promo.
The announcers talk about Sabin's attitude to beat it in to the ground and then talk about the x-division code of honor that only exists when it fits the story.
Styles came out and prevented Sabin from using a chair. If you can't see the finish coming...
Mike Tenay sounds like he's talking in to a paper cup tonight.
Daniels gets the win in a fun little match. Jerry Lynn comes out to talk to Sabin.
Lynn makes Sabin shake Daniels' hand and then he gives him the cradle shock.
Paparazzi Productions is backstage and they need a win so says Kevin Nash. This promo brought back memories of Snitsky and Heidenreich from Survivor Series 2004.
Match 4: Paparazzi Production Vs. Lance Hoyt and Ron Killings
Talk moves to the Longest Yard because Nash is on commentary. Nothing has really happened in this match, but its a lot better than Sylvia's fight last night.
Lance Hoyt is no Kevin Nash, so says Nash. When the man is right, he is right.
This is one of those typical tag formula matches with the heat on Hoyt. Starr and Shelley are working well as a team and because that was pointed out by the announcers, it will play in the finish. Of course, I was a little wrong in the last match.
Miscommunication leads to Shelley and Starr losing...again.
Winners: Hoyt and Killings
Video package on the Christian Vs. AJ Styles feud, both weeks of it.
Match 5: Christian Cage Vs. AJ Styles
Borash is with Cage backstage. Christian does some rewriting of history in the time-honored time-tested heel fashion.
West: This isn't an x-division match, its a fight. I thought all wrestling matches were supposed to be fights? Guess he just admitted to the spotfests.
This is a pretty solid match so far, the pace started slow but has picked up. Christian has been in control for most of the action. Crowd is split for Christian and Styles, as is usually the case for this crowd. Now, a healthy Christian sucks chant has broken out.
The fans can't coordinate their chants, we've got a "TNA" and "This is Awesome" chant started at the same time and it sounded so weird.
The action has picked up now AJ hit a nice inverted DDT for a nearfall but Christian answers back with a spear. AJ has been selling a leg injury for the past few minutes.
Christian goes for the Unprettier, Styles teased the clash and then hit the Pailay kick.
Christian tries to use the chair, Daniels comes out to stop him but it backfires and Christian gets the pin.
Teasing more trouble with Styles and Daniels.
Winner: Christian Cage
Daniels and Styles argue, but the X-division guys come out to try and settle things. Nothing is resolved, but Rhino is now in the house explaining things.
Rhino is making AJ and Daniels play nice. Daniels agrees to shake, but AJ has none of it. I smell a heel turn.
Borash backstage with AMW and my beloved. Storm cuts a pretty unPC promo on LAX that has to be heard to be believed. I thought maybe Sheiky was in the house.
Video Package on the LAX Vs. AMW feud.
Match 6: LAX Vs. America's Most Wanted w/Gail Kim
LAX Vs. AMW for the NWA tag titles. Its like a game of scrabble with bad letters.
We start this match with crowd brawling after Konnan says he has the constitutional right to burn the American flag. Well, with Jarrett off the show the crowd brawling had to find its way in to 1 match and this was the best candidate.
Now the fight has entered the ring after only a minute or so in the crowd to start.
A blow torch comes in to play and Hernandez gets the pin.
Winners: LAX
The champs toy with Gail Kim long enough for Petey Williams to save her.
Jim Cornette is out. Apparently, management has declared that LAX is unfit to be tag team champions. They are stripped of the belts. Crowd chants "Bullshit" at this title stripping angle. They have until iMPACT to turn over the belt. I like that they use the PPV to further an angle for iMPACT.
James Mitchell with Abyss talking about the title match.
Same video package we saw earlier for this match airs.
Match 7: Sting Vs. Abyss for the NWA title
Tenay: Have you ever seen Sting more highly motivated than this? Yes, I have.
We've got more crowd brawling in this match than in the prior match. Sting goes for his signature splash on the guard rail and signaturely missed. Its a weapons filled brawl, which I guess is fine as we hadn't had one of those yet. The fight has finally moved back to the ring. We had audio problems for a second.
Ref bump - Thumbtacks - I know you're shocked.
Now Sting has the bag of tacks, well at least the time the person using the tacks won't have it backfire on them...as I write that Sting is chokeslamed into the tacks. It gets 2 before Sting hulks up. Scorpion Deathlock but as Abyss taps Mitchell distracts the ref. Scorpion on Mitchell.
Sting has Abyss tied up in the repelling cables and is beating him with a chair.Sting put Abyss through the barbed wire table that was by the ramp that I forgot to mention. Sting was disqualified before that spot took place.
Winner: Abyss via DQ
Don West is shocked by the DQ although I can't imagine why. Abyss is the new champion! They reestablish the you can lose the title on a DQ rule. They drug that out of mothballs, that hasn't come up in so many ages most people watching this show probably had no idea until they mentioned it.
They replay the Joe/Angle package from the pre-show as well.
Match 8: Kurt Angle Vs. Samoa Joe
I thought the crowd would be louder for the entrances than they have been. The discussion turns to what the finish of this match will be. We have reached no conclusion on what will happen. This is not a common thing in wrestling.
Borash does the UFC style ring introductions...
The match is 2 seconds old and the crowd is chanting "This is Awesome". Now that is the lamest thing I've ever seen.
The crowd keeps switching sides. Joe has been in control of the majority of the action in the first few minutes of the match.I must confess I don't want to describe too much of the action as I'd rather be watching it.
Joe gets a nearfall with the Musclebuster.
A minute or so later Angle hits the Olympic Slam for a nearfall of his own. Crowd chanting "Make him tap" as the straps come down and the Ankle Lock is applied.
Joe rolls through the ankle lock and hooks on the Kokina Clutch. Ankle lock reapplied by Angle.Ankle Lock by Angle and Samoa Joe taps out.
Winner: Kurt Angle
Joe has the mic: Angle, Angle!!! Crowd chants "You Tapped out". Joe says Angle was the better man on one day. Angle if you're half the man I think you are, you'll give me a rematch." Angle refuses to shake Joe's hand. Joe says it looks like we've got to do this the hard way. Well, it looks like iMPACT should be interesting.
They recap the match and we're off the air.
