ECW 4/3/07 Live Coverage
Here I am with live coverage of ECW. I didn't do coverage of RAW because I forgot to have my DVR record both hours. I've never figured out why they did that.
Bobby Lashley comes out to start the show. He grabs a mic and talks about his WM match. We then go to footage from RAW. Vince came out with a hat on and said his match at WM didn't count. Lashley came out and took Vince's hat off. This is going to be very entertaining. He knows what Vince is going to do now and he doesn't care.

Another video of Austin's film. I'll have to see if it's as good as they're hyping it up as.
CM Punk is now taking on Stevie Richards. Punk has his ribs wrapped up from his WM match. Punk went with a headlock takeover with Stevie running at him but Richards must've tried to counter since he landed hard on his neck. Richards now working on Punks ribs. Attempt at an abdominal stretch, Punk rolls him up for 2 and Richards gets the abdominal stretch again. Punk fights out and gets a nearfall. Punk tries to suplex Richards but he can't get him up. Richards takes him up for a suplex but Punk floats behind then hits the GTS for the win.
Backstage with RVD and some rapper. Extreme Expose come up and want to be in his music video.
Commercial.
Backstage with Punk, Stryker and Cor Von. They try to recruit him again but he shots them down again.
Extreme Expose is up now. I'm surprised they didn't strip down this time. If they're trying to be taken seriously it's way too late for that.
Ending video from WM23 is shown. Holly vs. Snitsky is up next. Good god.

I hope Holly fares better against Snitsky. He's not fairng too good right now unfortunately. How did Holly go from being a contender for the ECW Title to getting squashed by Snitsky? Postmatch beatdown is Snitsky attacking Holly with a chair then smashing his arm between the steps.

Main event time. We get the entrances then head to commercial.
Sabu and Stryker are in the ring and Sabu gets a nearfall. It's all broken down and RVD throws in some weapons. Sabu and Sandman fly but only Sabu hits his mark which in itself is amazing. Cor Von drop toe holds Dreamer into the chair as Sandman gets a table in the ring. New Breed now working on Dreamer and it gets them a nearfall. Dreamer fights back as the rest of the Originals get back in the ring. Double team move from Sabu and RVD gets 2. Sandman breaks up a pin but Burke cracks with a trashcan who in turn gets clobbered by the lid from Dreamer. Sandman works over Cor Von with his cane but Cor Von reverses an Irish whip and gets POUNCED! Thorn back in and he tries to Razor's Edge RVD through the table but RVD reverses it. He goes up top but is distracted by Ariel. Sabu comes up behind Thorn, gets clobbered by a chair then gets a double team legdrop. Burke comes up behind Sabu and rams him through the table set up in the corner and gets the pin. That was a nice call back to the original ECW with a lot of weapon shots and awesome spots.

They do that for ratings purposes. They count the 2 hours separately so they can get 2 shows in the top 10 cable ratings instead of just one.
Interestingly, TV networks do this as well with Nielsen considering Nickelodeon and Nickat Nite and Cartoon Network/Adult Swim as 4 separate channels even though they share signals.
