It's been a while since Mid-South Wrestling made its mark on the Twin Cities, but upstart Bayou Independent Wrestling hopes to fill that gap.

The organization kicks off with a performance tonight that's being taped for an upcoming DVD.

Helping BIW get kicked off will be an old veteran of Mid-South, "Dr. Death" Steve Williams, whose question-and-answer session with fans will be one of the highlights of the evening.

The card features regional performers, some local talent and a couple of guys wrestling fans may have seen in World Wrestling Entertainment.

The card includes Andy Dalton vs. Angel of Sin, a Louisiana vs. Texas tag team match that features Monroe natives Brayden Page and Bobby Von Neil facing Joey Spector and "The Natural" Mark Wilson, Texas star Kris Katera vs. Chance and former WWE star Rodney Mack in a handicap match against "Heatseeker" Tony Morales and "The Phoenix" Chad Thomas.

The main event of the evening features an up-and-coming Texas wrestler, "Main Event" Mike Foxx making his Louisiana debut against "The Fire" Jeremy Young.

Also scheduled to appear is local wrestler Cedman, and the event will feature information on the next BIW show, which will feature WWE star Doink the Clown, Sean Cordova and JT Lamotta, among others.
