WWE RAW 5/7/07
Hello and welcome to RAW! I am your perrenial host Wade and I believe we will have another interesting show.
We start out Coach introducing ECW World Champ Vince McMahon. I like Vince's choice of headwear. He praises Khali for taking out HBK, Edge and Orton and then show a recap video. Vince is announcing the Main Event for Judgement Day but HBK interrupts him. HBK says that Vince has never done anything for him so he's gonna earn his title shot by facing Khali tonight and Vince adds No-DQ to it. He starts talking about the ECW Championship which brings out Lashley. He takes Coach's mic and demands a rematch but Vince reminds him of the "No Touch" clause then they show what happened at Backlash. He provokes Lashley some more then shows a still of the cover of the latest WWE Magazine. Vince then gives him the rematch but it'll be the same as Backlash. Lashley uses Coach as his messenger and destroys him. This was a nice way to set up 2 matches in one segment.
Backstage with Mickie and Candice as they prepare for their upcoming match. It was very nice to see Candice topless on TV.
Commercial.
We have another Mickie/Candice vs. Victoria/Melina. Like I told a friend of mine last week, if they had Torrie and Maria in these matches that'd be the extent of the Women's Division which is sad. Nice doubleteam move from Melina and Victoria on Candice gets them a near fall. Mickie is in now and does her Austin impersonation with the Thesz Press/Punch combo. Candice gets the tag behind Melina's back. Mickie distracts Melina which allows Candice to hit a kick and pin her. What has the Women's Division come to when a lady who's been in Playboy gets this kinda push? I guess I can't complain much since the current Women's champ isn't even a wrestler. Speaking of the Diva's, I'm going to be covering the Diva Search this year. I just hope it isn't too horrible but we'll have to wait and see.
Commercial break.
Santino Morella is defending the IC Title against Chris Masters and I highly endorse their choice of contender. Masters was already in the ring and Santino got an entrance so make of that what you will. Santino with some early offense but Masters takes control with a clothesline. Holy Crap! Santino hit some great kicks. Finish is Santino rolling Masters up coming out of the turnbuckle. Both men impressed me in this match and I'm glad the "Masterlock Challenge" is over and done with.
Commercial break.
Mr. Kennedy has come out again. He stands at the top of the entrance ramp and gives us the countdown again. Are they planning to do this all the way up to WM24? I certainly hope not because it'll get real annoying, real fast.
Maria interviews Orton. He talks about his match tonight and that's it.
Commercial.
Highlanders are taking on Umaga. They'll have just as much luck as they did against Khali. Umaga spikes both then splashes them from the top to win. Basic squash match that shows how Umaga is still a monster.
Another video for Austin's film. He says it's original but I know what it's based off of. As I said on Casey's post about this, it did about as well as I expected, which is horrible.
Commercial break.
Backstage with Edge and Kennedy. Edge convinces Kennedy to put his Money in the Bank briefcase on the line tonight. Loved how Kennedy got right in his face and yelled.
HBK vs. Khali is up. HBK waffles Khali with a chair a couple times then goes for SCM but Khali catches him and takes control. HBK manages to rake Khali's eyes, choke him on the ropes and they take it outside. HBK now clearing off the announce table and tries to DDT Khali thru it but he just throws him off then double hand chokeslams him through the table which causes the ref to end the match. Neither HBK or Khali were pinned and Khali is somehow announced as #1 Contender? Guess Michaels didn't wanna lose any other way.
Commercial.
Todd Grisham interviews Cena. He makes fun of Grisham then Khali. Cena has become very entertaining on the mic.
Backstage with Cryme Tyme. They show us a plate with a steak then cut to Vis looking at an empty plate, then show a bag with pills and show Eugene freaking out in a locker room and finally they show a hummer and Simmons in the parking with his catch phrase. A person jumps in with a Spiderman outfit with the top being too small who gets beaten with a club then elbowed. This was a very funny segment!
Commercial break.
The Hardys are out to take on The World's Greatest Tag Team with Cade & Murdoch doing commentary again. The Tag Tag Division on RAW is extremely small and I'm sure Smackdown is just as low. Jeff is cleaning house and gets a couple nearfalls. Finish is Matt with a tag behind Hass' back which allows Jeff to hit the Swanton and Matt to pin. It's nice to see the feud with Hardys, Cade/Murdoch to be about respect for the moment. I can't help but wonder if Cade&Murdoch are going to pull something before Judgement Day.
Carlito and Torrie are shown walking down a hall with Torrie trying hard to keep up with him.
Commercial.
Carlito comes down to the ring quickly with a serious look on his face. He says that Flair has done nothing but embarass him then says he should be WWE Champion. They've established that Flair is in Las Vegas but Carlito calls him out anyway. He then dumps Torrie which really gets the fans to boo him. Nice way to keep this feud going.
Another video for Austin's film. Don't they realize that no matter how many videos they show it won't increase the box office take?
Commercial break.
Edge vs. Kennedy is up now. Edge jumpstarts the match by attacking Kennedy from behind as he comes out. Edge clobbers Kennedy with a TV monitor then rolls him in. The bell officialy rings then Edge spears Kennedy for the win. Post match beatdown is Kennedy getting plastered with the briefcase twice. Looks like the Kennedy Countdown is off for now which is a good thing.
Commercial.
Main event time. Cena gets a nearfall early on but Orton moves out of the way as Cena rams his shoulder into the turnbuckle. Cena hits the Five Knuckle Shuffle then Khali comes down who grabs the WWE Title and walks back up the ramp. Cena runs after him, turns him around and Khali smacks him with the title as the show ends.
This show was very good. It flowed well and had the right amount of matches and other segments. I'm going with Morella/Masters as the best match tonight. Also, I won't be able to do ECW Coverage tomorrow due to working 5pm to 10pm.

I gave the show a packet of mustard. The way they ended the show sucks. I think that Vince Russo is booking this crap.
