Mouse Watch, How Disney plans to drive up sales for Cars DVD

The above linked article is to Jim Hill's latest hitpiece on the success or lack there of of Pixar's Cars.

Note, I call it a hitpiece mainly in gest. Jim has taken a lot of criticism for saying that Cars is underperforming even though it is the second highest crossing film of the year so far.

I don't take issue with that, Walstreet expected Finding Nemo like numbers and its not going to get anywhere near that. The point is that I am not refusing to admit that the film didn't live up to expectations only that it was stupid to set such expectations so high.

Anyway, the article is a good read and also contains the release date of the Pirates 2 DVD for those of you that haven't heard it yet.
