Just what the world needed, more Kanyon

Chris Kanyon posted the following bulletin on MySpace

I'll reproduce it below and toss in my own venomous comments.

I did an audio interview this past week and I talk at length about my career and specifically about my appearance at a WWE house show on Sept 8

OCC: You mean the show where you interupted and in your own words weren't doing a publicity stunt, simply looking for attention? Do you not realize what a publicity stunt really is?

as well
as a contaversial exchange I had with Bret Hart years ago in reference to the now infamous Montreal "screw job" finish. Was Bret in on it? Hear what I
had to say:

www.thaoshow.com

OCC: Yeah, I'll head right over for that, I mean I think the world was just waiting for what you had to say on Montreal. Montreal is such a fresh topic to begin with, one that I never ever get tired of hearing about, and yet there was always this void in my life. Many sleepless nights I spent wondering, oh when will I finally get to hear Kanyon's side of the story? Screw wrestling with Shadows, the countless newsletter articles, its Kanyon that is in touch with the reality of Montreal.

Also I want to thank the fan, Johnny Angel, who coined my new nickname "The King of Kontroversy, Chris Kanyon." I especially like the spelling of "Controversy"
with the "K." Good Stuff.

OCC: Why yes, that was so brilliant. I mean there must have been rough draft after countless rough draft to finally tune that whole thing. Seriously, switching a "C" with a "K", well lets just say that if I never write another OCC for the Ric & Steve show again, it is because of this man. Personally, I would've never thought of something so awesome as to spell controversy with a "K" and would've never connected it to the name Kanyon. I should hang up my keyboard right now.

And I want to thank all the fans who have showed overwhelming interest in what I am doing and saying, from the 125,000 people who have read my Blogs

OCC: Uh Kanyon, how many people read your blogs to see what you're saying so they can laugh at just how far out of touch with reality you are? You remind me of This Lady who made comments so vile and disgusting about a child on a blog that she had to resign her job at the University of Arizona before she was fired. The point is that she got a lot of traffic after she made those comments but not because people supported her rantings, they just wanted to see how much further the insanity would go before either her friends/family or the law got involved. Having a lot of people read something isn't necessarily a good thing especially if you don't know why.
to the fans at last weeks Raw who brought Kanyon signs, especially the fan across from hard camera who held up the "Who Betta Than Kanyon" sign during and
after the Vince McMahon vs. HHH match. I appreciate you all.

OCC: And I would just like to chastize all you morons for feeding Kanyon's ego. This guy has some serious issues and the last thing he needs is for you to encourage him to go down this road any further. I know you're probably thinking, "Hey, we might start a revolution like what happened with the you screwed Matt chants". Yeah, cause that's the same thing. Besides, Matt Hardy's return to the WWE has really been the thing to sustain and grow wrestling's popularity for the next decade & look at what its done for his own career.

Once again, thanks for your time and consideration,
Chris Kanyon

OCC: Look, I don't want this to come off like a vicious attack on Kanyon. Ok, so it is a vicious attack on Kanyon but I'd like everyone to keep all of the following in mind.

  1. He brought this on himself.
He went to that WWE show looking for attention and he got it. I choose to call attention to how stupid he looks for the things he has done and said during this whole thing. If he didn't want that kind of attention he should've said nothing and done nothing. You run the risk of negative press with something like that and in my case that's what he's getting. Now I realize I don't matter 1 bit to Kanyon and that's fine but I'm not the only one pointing these things out.
  2. I genuinely hope for the best for Kanyon. Whatever that may be. I don't want to see anyone head down the path he seems to be walking at this point. I battle depression myself and while I've never gone to the lengths of Kanyon to deal with it (attempted suicide) I wouldn't wish that fight on any human being.
  3. I just hope Kanyon wakes up and puts an end to this behavior one day. The comment about being fired for being gay is potentially libalous and if it ever went to court all the WWE would need to do is have Pat Patterson testify and it ends right there.
But, if he's going to use a public form to make stupid comments than I can also use a public forum to point out that they are stupid comments. The last thing I would want to see is anyone believe his nonsense. The second to last thing I want to see is people encouraging him to take it further for their own enjoyment.

Those are my thoughts on that.
