NFL Picks Week 1
Its time once again for my weekly NFL predictions. I've done this for several years in a row and now they are featured on the OCC.
Thursday: September 7, 2006
Miami at Pittsburgh, winner: Miami
OCC: Miami was the hottest team in football at the end of last season and with big Ben out because of an appendectomy they’ll spoil the Steelers home opener.
New York Jets at Tennessee, Winner: Tennessee
OCC: 2 games in to the season and our first dud.
Philadelphia at Houston, winner: Philadelphia
OCC: Both offenses scary for the wrong reasons.
Cincinnati at Kansas City, winner: Cincinnati
OCC: One of the better games of week 1, the Bengals go in to a loud stadium hoping for a win.
Denver at St. Louis, winner: Denver
OCC: I hate Denver.
Atlanta at Carolina, winner: Carolina
OCC: I have the Panthers winning the South, which you’d know if you read my preview and the only way they can do that is by beating division foes.
Baltimore at Tampa Bay, winner: Tampa Bay
OCC: A couple of strong defenses take the field.
Buffalo at New England, winner: New England
OCC: Buffalo, bad - New England, Good.
New Orleans at Cleveland, winner: Cleveland
OCC: Another game I’m glad I don’t have to watch.
Seattle at Detroit, winner: Seattle
OCC: Seattle gets to start off the season positively.
San Francisco at Arizona, winner: Arizona
OCC: Cardinals start out season strong in new stadium.
Chicago at Green Bay, winner: Chicago
OCC: Its going to be a long season for Green Bay.
Dallas at Jacksonville, winner: Dallas
OCC: I just don’t think Jacksonville is that strong so Dallas should get the win.
Indianapolis at New York Giants, winner: Indianapolis
OCC: Peyton wins the first meeting of the Manning brothers in NBC’s return to Sunday Night.
Monday: September 11, 2006
Minnesota at Washington, winner: Washington
OCC: The Redskins prove that the preseason meant nothing, ha, like that needed proving.
San Diego at Oakland, winner: Oakland
OCC: I’m not picking against my favorite team, logic be damned.
