Thursday 09/14 Ratings Report

Ultimate Fighter did a 1.3
and
TNA did a 0.7

according to Dave Meltzer's monday news update.

There's no NFL this week to explain the ratings. I'm not sure what's up with Ultimate Fighter but TNA is easier to explain:

TNA's show is bad.

Its not the worst wrestling show I've ever seen from a week to week basis really but it is probably the least important wrestling show I've ever seen on a week to week basis. Even when WCW Saturday Night featured nothing but powerplant matches it felt more important than iMPACT has lately.

Football did them no favors last week and the VMAs did no favors for the competition the week that it was on as well. But the thing is that there is competition every week. Yeah, its tougher some weeks than others but your show is never caught in a vacume where it is litterally the only thing on TV.

You know, TNA should just let me book the company for at least 2 months. I'm not saying that the ratings would sky-rocket or anything but I do work cheap. Also I bet Ric would look forward to seeing just what kind of wrestling show I could put together at least for 1 week.

Could I do a worse job? I doubt it.

Uh, anyway the product is the same as it always was but now there's even more wrestling from the WWE for it to resemble. I expect ratings to continue to go down.
