Ric's Smackdown recap
He watched it I didn't which means he's got more guts than me.
I did merit a mention however.
I suppose that has to do with our discussion over the ECW thing from Tuesday.
Accept that I never once said that the line was in poor taste. I said that if the WWE was going to approve the line in the first place they should at least stand by it and if they don't have the nerve to stand by it they probably shouldn't approve of it in the first place. I also debated whether Irwin died of an unnecessary risk or not.
I actually made no comment on whether I thought the line was in poor taste. I said that it didn't make sense for business because it is a cheap way to get heel heat (which it is) and it didn't sell 1 ticket or PPV buy.
If you want to know the truth, I didn't care that Stryker said what he did any more than I'd care about whatever was said tonight on Smackdown.
I will say that there is a difference in pointing out a specific thing as compared to a general threat. Now if Batista had asked him if he wanted to be buried like so and so or burned alive like so and so then that might be something that could potentially offend someone and again my position would be if you want to use it don't back away from it.
I didn't complain about the line on Tuesday from a taste standpoint at all. Besides, of the long list of things, WWE has done that hardly ranks as most offensive.

- World title: Booker T (with Sharmell) defeated Batista. Before the match, Booker gave Batista the option of bowing down and walking away. Batista asked if Booker wanted to be buried or cremated. I suppose Casey will complain about that line being in poor taste.
