NFL picks week 5
Its time once again for your favorite NFL picks column to appear on this blog.
Last Week: 8/6
Overall: 36/24
Sunday: October 8, 2006 (early games)
St. Louis 3/1 at Green Bay 1/3, winner: St. Louis
OCC: The Rams aren't bad, the Packers are.
Tampa Bay 0/3 at New Orleans 3/1, winner: New Orleans
OCC: I have a hunch New Orleans will be tough at home all year.
Tennessee 0/4 at Indianapolis 4/0, winner: Indianapolis
OCC: Game of the week, this is not.
Detroit 0/4 at Minnesota 2/2, winner: Minnesota
OCC: Minnesota may need to win this game to make up for the performance of the Twins.
Buffalo 2/2 at Chicago 4/0, winner: Chicago
OCC: Winner and still undefeated, the Bears!
Washington 2/2 at New York Giants 1/2, winner: New York Giants
OCC: This is pretty much a must win for the Giants.
Cleveland 1/3 at Carolina 2/2, winner: Carolina
OCC: Cleveland is back to playing real NFL teams.
Miami 1/3 at New England 3/1, winner: New England
OCC: The Patriots surprised me by being better than I thought and the Dolphins surprised me in the opposite way.
Sunday: October 8, 2006 (late games)
Oakland 0/3 at San Francisco 1/3, winner: San Francisco
OCC: I can't wait to live blog the worst game of the entire season.
Kansas City 1/2 at Arizona 1/3, winner: Kansas City
OCC: The Chiefs had no trouble with the 49ers and the Cardinals aren't much better.
New York Jets 2/2 at Jacksonville 2/2, winner: Jacksonville
OCC: This should actually be a fun game. I like the Jags at home.
Dallas 2/1 at Philadelphia 3/1, winner: Dallas
OCC: Nope, can't think of any interesting subplots for this game. No, nothing to see here...not a thing, can't figure out why Pro Football Talk would want to Live Blog it.
Sunday: October 8, 2006 (Night Game)
Pittsburgh 1/2 at San Diego 2/1, winner: San Diego
OCC: A possible playoff preview, but Pittsburgh really needs a win. How will San Diego respond after that loss in Baltimore? Just a couple of questions that need to be answered.
Monday: October 9, 2006 (monday night football)
Baltimore 4/0 at Denver 2/1, winner: Denver
OCC: You heard it here first, this is the week that Baltimore's lack of offense will hurt.
