ECW 4/17/07 Live Coverage
Here we are once again with ECW on Sci-Fi. I've read the spoilers and this doesn't sound half bad.
New Breed are in the ring to start things out. Burke talks about what happened last week and introduces Punk. Punk is handed the mic and doesn't reveal his reasons for choosing the New Breed. Burke talks a little more but RVD comes out. RVD tells Burke to shut up then tells Punk he's gonna regret joining the New Breed. He then challenges Burke for a match but before he can accept Punk grabs the mic and says if he wants to face the leader of the New Breed he should face him. Burke grabs the mic back and accepts.
Commercial.
Nunzio is now out to face Snitsky. It was nice to give Nunzio a match on TV in Italy but did it have to be against Snitsky? Nunzio with more offense against Snitsky then anybody else has yet. Big Boot to Nunzio gets Snitsky the win.
Punk and Burke backstage. Burke tells him to fall in line.

Video for Austin's film. I will continue to refer to it in this fashion because I can't remember how to spell it.
Thorn and Cor Von are in the ring now as Dreamer and Sandman come through the crowd. Dreamer and Cor Von start out but Sandman is quickly tagged in. Sandman tries for a high risk move but Cor Von counters and tags Thorn. Cor Von tagged back in, gets a nearfall. That Italy crowd was hot even for ECW. Dreamer with the hot tag and bulldogs Thorn. Dreamer rolls up Thorn and holds the rope for the win.
Punk and Stryker backstage. He more or less tells Stryker to think about getting different people for the New Breed.

Bobby Lashley is now in the ring. We get a video package of the Umaga/Marella match from last night which Lashley helped out in. He then introduces Santino Marella. Lashley hands him the mic who speaks in Italian about being the IC Champ.
Commercial.
Backstage with Punk giving a little pep talk to Cor Von and Thorn. He sees Burke who again tells him to get in line but Punk cuts him off and says he's got his back tonight.
I just noticed that Extreme Expose was missing from tonight's show. Just goes to show you how important that is.
Main event time. RVD comes down to the ring as we go to commercial. Back from commercial and Burke is now out. Burke slaps RVD and he replies with a kick. Burke in control and working RVDs shoulder. RVD fights back and gets a nearfall. Shoulder blocks on Burke in the corner but Burke moves and RVD rams into the turnbuckle. Burke back to working over the shoulder. Perfectly executed armbar from Burke gets 2. Belly to back suplex gets Burke another nearfall. RVD fights back again and gets a nice kick in then follows it up with a monkey flip. We now have a ref bump. Burke and RVD trade moves with Burke blocking Rolling Thunder. Punk comes out, throws a chair in the ring but RVD grabs it. He throws it at Burke then Frogsplashes him for the win. Punk now in trying to apologize to Burke to end the show.

I love how Punk's still a bit rebellious while with New Breed.
