TNA iMPACT 4/5/07 Live Coverage
Hello all! There was a decision made that since I missed covering RAW I will instead do live coverage for tonight's iMPACT. That and it's a way to lighten Casey's load since there's a lot to cover right now.
TNA...we have no idea what we're doing anymore.
Recap of last week.
Backstage with Team Cage. Everybody but Steiner asked for their title shot in that segment.
8 Mile Streetfight starts us out. Rhino takes it to Tomko in the back to start then they fight to the ring. Rhino gets hit on the back with a chair as we go to...
Commercial.
Tomko still in control but Rhino fights back and sets up a table. He rams Tomko through a table, Abyss comes down with a chair to hit Rhino but he moves and hits Tomko. Gore gets Rhino the win but gets Chokeslammed by Abyss right away. Angle is now out and laying into Abyss. All teams now out with Team Cage getting the upper hand.
Backstage in Cornette's office. He tells everyone to leave him alone and they're just about to leave as Gail comes in and attacks Miss Tennessee.
Commercial.
Backstage with Team Cage again. I'm sensing a theme tonight. He runs down Abyss and says he can't com with them to party.
VKM are out to face LAX. Good god, this is gonna suck more than anything in the world. Hemme was out, tried to confront VKM but Hoyt carries her out. Hemme appeared to have a wardrobe malfunction. Finish is the Latino Nation coming in followed by Team 3D. They accept the electrified steel cage match for Lockdown.
Backstage with Team Angle. They aren't as cohesive.
Commercial.
Angle saying he will have the next 2 members next week.
Starr and Senshi up now. This is a "submission only" match which is just as bad as their Chickenwing match. Nice suicide dive from Starr on Senshi.
Commercial.
Starr still in control. Senshi fighting back with kicks and locks in a Dragon Sleeper but Starr breaks it. Starr with an attempt at a superplex but Senshi stops him but misses the Warrior's Way. Starr with a single leg crab but Backlund throws in a towel. Starr tries to put a crossface on Backlund but Backlund gets out. Senshi isn't too happy about that.
Tenay's interview with Sting is up now. Sting says that he failed with Abyss and is going home again.
Commercial.
Video for Lethal Lockdown.
Company-wide meeting now. He runs down the card with the faces and heels standing on the opposite ramps. They get up to Lethal Lockdown and Cage butts in. He whines about having to stay since they were gonna party. Cornette tells him to shut up and runs him down. He then informs us that the winner of Lethal Lockdown will get a shot against Cage. Cage goes ballistic and tries to attack Team Angle but the lights go out and Sting appears swinging his bat to become the 4th member.
Why does TNA insist on having these recap videos after every show?
