Global Fighting Championships -- East Coast Premiere at Mohegan Sun Arena
Mixed Martial Arts Event on August 17th takes the sport to the next level
Uncasville, CT (July 2, 2007) – Mohegan Sun is proud to announce that the first East Coast engagement of the Global Fighting Championships (Global FCs) will take place in the Arena at 8:00pm on Friday, August 17th.
Tickets are $250.00, $150.00, $100.00 and $50.00, and are on sale now at the Mohegan Sun Box Office and through Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster customers may log on to ticketmaster.com, call any Ticketmaster Charge By Phone number, or visit any Ticketmaster outlet.
Global Fighting Championships is the latest entry in the increasingly popular sport of Mixed Martial Arts competitions. The bouts at Mohegan Sun promise to raise the bar for action and excitement with four main events, and several fighters on the undercard. A heavyweight championship match features long-time foes Jeff “The Snowman” Monson and Wes “The Project” Sims in a face-off that fans have been eagerly awaiting. It’s going to be a tight match for the middleweight belt between Edwin “Babyface” Dewees and Mavrick “The Soul Collector” Harvey. The night also pits two of the sport’s biggest competitors -- Butterbean (5’11”, 350 lbs.) and Stefan Gamlin (6’7”, 360 lbs.) – against each other. The fourth main event is a battle featuring UFC champ Mark Kerr (a.k.a. The Titan) against former pro wrestler Sean O’Haire (a.k.a. Nightmare O’Haire). Please note that the card is subject to change.

Did I read that right, Mark Kerr vs Sean O' Haire?? What a weird match-up, Kerr better win this one!
I don't know, with the Natural Born Thrillers at ringside...maybe O'Haire can pull out the win.
