Just read the Observer...
I just read the Wrestling Observer that I got in the mail today.
Interesting headline story on who were the biggest draws of all time. I can't say that I was surprised by what I read, but I did find it fascinating. I can see why those that gravitate more to pro wrestling history do so because it is definitely an interesting study. On that note, quick plug for DragonKingWrestling.com because Karl Stern is all about the wrestling history and has been very supportive of anything I've ever had him plug, and while I do contribute to the Ric & Steve...er...Karl Show, the shows would still be good without me, just not as good.
Anyway, other bits of news I found interesting:
*apparently both Ron Killings and Monty Brown asked for releases at the Impact taping on Monday. Killings reportedly told Terry Tayler upon hearing that Brown had also asked out: "Monty and I have something in common." If I didn't know better, I'd say that was a hint of perceived racial discrimination.
*Apparently, LAX Vs. Styles/Daniels for the NWA World Tag Team Titles is going to be billed as the Main Event for No Surrender. I can't blame them, LAX is easily the hottest thing in the whole company right now, so why not go with it? But, it isn't everyday that tag titles headline a PPV. I can't even remember the last time a tag title match headlined, but I remember the last tag feud that headlined a PPV when AMW beat XXX at Turning Point. You don't forget matches like that one with Skipper's cage-walk rana.
Well, I'll go for now, will probably continue blogging today as there is nothing else to do. Have I mentioned yet that the Old Country is in the middle of a boring town?
