Patriots trade Branch to Seattle
It really did have to be done.
New England trades Deion Branch to Seattle for a first round pick in the 2007 NFL draft.
Once the Patriots agreed to let Branch explore his options and Seattle and the New York Jets offered him contracts, the ploy backfired against New England and they were pretty much screwed.
They did get a first round pick for him which is a good job on their part but as the Seahawks are expected to be a very good team this year, it will be a low first round pick.
