Live Raiders Blogging

Raiders - 0
Seattle - 0

The cycle of sirius sports commercials is over.

Greg Papa and Tom Flores are on my radio now. I miss these guys during non-football season.

Seattle likes to sack the QB. This is a good fit because the Raiders like to give up sacks. Its like they were meant for one another.

Seattle claims to have the loudest stadium in the NFL. I don't know that I can argue that they don't.

The Kickoff will come after a Commercial Break!!!

I just heard a political commercial attacking the Oakland Mayor I guess. Good Lord it was vicious but it was also lame. I'm glad I already voted absentee so that if people call to remind me to vote tomorrow I can ignore them. This is also the first commercial of a political nature I've heard during a Raiders game on sirius.

One advantage of listening to the game Here they cut out the commercials.

They used to play twice a year, now they haven't played since 2002. Sorry, thought I was Bruce Buffer for a moment.

It's raining sideways tonight. We're ready for the coin toss.

Oakland calls tales and tales is correct. They elect to take the ball. Lets hope this is not the only thing they win tonight.

The NFC West is bad, Seattle is in first place at 4/3. Interesting stat, the last team to beat 2 Super Bowl teams from the year before in back-to-back weeks was the Detroit Lions.

Chris Carr returns the Josh Brown kickoff, up to the 26 yardline.

The Raiders first drive begins.

  1. 1st and 10 Oak 26: Walter's pass to Randy Moss is broken up and is incomplete.

    Man this stadium is loud.

  2. 2nd and 10: Reshard Lee gets the ball on a dump off and gains 7 yards.
  3. 3rd and 3 Oak 33: Walter was in the shotgun which is a formation the Raiders don't use very often. He was promptly sacked. That was the first time they used the shotgun this season that I remember, and they should not use it anymore.
  4. 4th down: Shane Lechler's punt is returned 16 yards by Nate Burleson.

Seattle's first drive of the game.

  1. 1st and 10 Sea 32: Maurice Morris is hit for a 3 yard loss.
  2. 2nd and 13: Senika Wallace tosses to the tight end for a gain of 6.
  3. 3rd and 7 Seattle 36: Max Strong catches the Wallace pass up to the 42.
  4. 1st and 10 at Sea 42: Morris carries for a short gain before Thomas Howard tackles him. A flag is down (Unsportsman Like conduct on the Coaching staff) That's a new one.
  5. 1st and 10 Oak 41: Morris on the handoff carries down to the 38 for a gain of 3.
  6. 2nd and 7 Oak 38: Morris carries for a big gain before tackled by Stuart Schweigert. A gain of 17.
  7. 1st and 10 Oak 22: Wallace finds Deion Branch in the endzone for a touchdown.

Josh Brown to attempt the extra point. Its good 7-0 Seattle.
