The HOSTILE Preview for ECW Brand to Dismember

Welcome to what is probably the most hostile preview for a Pay Per View we will ever do tonight's ECW PPV to Dismember.

Casey: This is the PPV of the damned or so it would seem. This will draw one of the lowest buyrates in company history. Well, at least the WWE is getting fully behind it and at least the WWE is providing us with a lot of matches to talk about.

Wade: It appears WWE is trying to recapture the magic of the old ECW again by having these "hardcore" titled PPVs. I loved the names they came up with for PPVs back in the day and I'll give them points for this title. What I won't give them points for is the match set up. Four freaking matches? Even the old ECW did a better job than that. It'll be interesting to find out how this PPV goes.

Art: I can't pin point a time when WWE was blatantly killing a brand (oh wait there was WCW with that ill-fated InVasion angle) as they are with ECW. This PPV is the friggin' Titanic of WWE PPV's and that's saying something with their annual Armageddon PPV around the corner. Let's take a look at this clusterfuck of a show shall we?

Euan: Well this is pretty screwed up. ECWs biggest PPV to date and they have a grand total of...2 FUCKING MATCHES ANNOUNCED! Is Vince Russo booking this show along with TNA? I don't know but it's possible. So here is what I'm sure will be the shortest PPV preview i have ever written.

Tommy Dreamer Vs. Daivari

Casey: We don’t even know that this match is on the show its just a rumor at best. This is so sad. As for who will win, its quite simple Great Khali is in Daivari’s corner and Dreamer has nobody. Dreamer never wins anymore anyway, so that’s not going to change on this night.
Winner: Daivari

Marcus: Tommy Dreamer to win.

Wade: This seems like a complete mismatch. Of the times I saw Daivari wrestle he didn't do so well. Dreamer is a veteran and would take out Daivari easily if he came to the ring alone. Unfortunately, he'll have The Great Khali at ringside so I'm sure he'll interfere. As much as I hate to say this...
Winner: Daivari

Art: Dreamer's been jobber fodder for everyone
on God's green earth since he entered the E, I have to bank on Daivari
winning this one especially with Khali by his side to help with Dreamer's ass-whooping.
Winner: Daivari

Sandman Vs. Hardcore Holly

Casey: Hardcore Holly is getting a push and the Sandman is the Sandman. I think that the Sandman will actually go over here because of what I see happening later in the night. Someone from the original ECW has to win on this show…I think!
Winner: Sandman

Marcus: Hardcore Holly to win.

Wade: Here we have a match with a man that I haven't many wrestling holds from against a man who gets bumped from one show to another. I expect there to be some bumps and plenty of cane shots.
Winner: Sandman

Art: Not interested in this at all, never was a Holly fan know matter how many lacerations he receives from broken tables. The only redeeming moment of this match would be Sandman stiff-caning the fuck out of Holly after he begins shooting on Sandman in the ring. I so hope Holly would get a concussion, then he could wake up, forget who he was and once again become Sparky Plug... I'm afraid to say Holly would win this one.
Winner: Hardcore Holly

The Hardyz Vs. MNM

Casey: Picking the winner here is pretty simple. Hardyz will continue to team after this match and that is not the plan for MNM. This could actually be a really good wrestling match. It depends on what they add to this show but this could be given quite a bit of time as well.
Winner: The Hardyz

Marcus: The Hardyz to beat MNM.

Wade: This could turn out to be an interesting match. It's nice to see Matt and Jeff back together. I'm sure the "one night only" match might change if MNM have a strong showing.
Winner: The Hardyz

Art: MNM seems to be a one-night deal and the Hardyz are pretty damn over with the crowd, so therefore the Hardyz will win this but dude, what the hell will that mean anyway?
Winner: The Hardyz

Euan: For "One Night Only" even though we have seen them collide about 3 times already since this match was announced last week. This should be a fun match, any match involving Jeff Hardy is fun even if it's for watching when he screws up. I liked MNM, they were good in the ring and could at least talk on the mic which seems to be a dying art in 2006. I will say Hardys to win and perhaps continue this feud to attempt to revitalize the non-existant tag team division in WWE/ECW.
Winner: The Hardyz

Extreme Elimination Chamber: Big Show, Bobby Lashley, CM Punk, Rob Van Dam, Sabu, Test

Casey: After my famous Umaga prediction from last week I’m going to try this a second time. I see Test being first eliminated followed by Sabu, then Punk, then RVD, and finally it will be Show and Lashley. I predict an eventual Lashley victory with the help of Paul Heyman thus Lashley becomes the new top heel in ECW with the departure of the Big Show.
Winner: Bobby Lashley

Marcus: Rob Van Dam to take the match.

Wade: The only thing different about this Elimination Chamber is the adding of the word "Extreme" and that doesn't make any difference. I don't know what the order of entry will be in this match but I figure Show will come in last. Expect to see some high risk moves from RVD and Sabu for the most part and Lashley to (hopefully) do a little domination.
Winner: Lashley

Art: Show's injured and about to leave the company, Test is a fuckin' car wreck on roids, RVD and Sabu are in the corporate doghouse and Punk's being groomed for a future title run so I guess that would leave Lashley to win the title. Not sure how much weapons and plunder will be associated in this match but it should be a fun one but not a Strong enough main event to convince millions (or even hundreds of thousands) to buy this show.
Winner: Bobby Lashley

Euan: As the great Joey Styles said "The most controversial ECW main event in history!" I'm sure what he really wants to say is "The most violent match to draw less than The Great American Bash as no one cares" Unless God, Jesus or someone else(we all know this is Vince's fault so is exempt) makes a personal appearance, this PPV is fucked even with one of the most dangerous gimmicks in play. We all know Big Show is losing the belt tonight as he needs to take time off badly as he is about is mobile as a motorized wheelchair with a flat battery. Sabu ain't winning the title as i can see him leaving the company in the near future, RVD will not be given another chance and Test....well...IS FUCKING TERRIBLE!!!! So that leaves us with either CM Punk or Lashley. As much as i would love to say that CM Punk will be winning the belt with the sudden arrival of Lashley must mean something and that something in my opinion is tonight your new ECW World Champion will be Mr. Bobby Lashley.
Winner: Bobby Lashley

"If they hold a PPV in the middle of Georgia and nobody buys it than can it really be called a PPV?"

Casey: No because nobody is paying and nobody is viewing so at best it can be a “Per”.

Wade: Answer: Oh Hell No!!! If nobody pays to view it then that pretty much defeats the purpose. You will see this in effect Sunday.

Final Thoughts:

Casey: I’m not buying this, and I'm definitely not covering it. The OCC Live Coverage of this bullhit will be a link to WrestlingObserver.com or F4WOnline.com. Euan is supposedly going to watch it so he can provide a report later, I feel as though you should know I believe Euan gets to see it for free as I doubt he'd pay money for this crap.

Marcus: This will make a great dvd buy just not worth $40.00 to see it live.

Art: What's so god damn funny is that everyone slated to win matches tonight are WWE talent, no homegrown ECW talent has a chance which I should know anyway but Jesus Christ WWE, do you have to make fucking things up (WBF, XFL) so fuckin' obvious?? I'm not watching this dreck tonight so head on over to Casey's Old Country Corner for coverage of some sort.

Euan: So there we go, that's the entire preview. Thanks to WWE for really attempting to kill a brand already in trouble and i will be back for *thinks what's
next* oh god, Armageddon.
