WWE RAW 4/9/07 Live Coverage
Hello hello! I am back this week for more RAW coverage. I see we have HBK vs. Orton for a shot at the WWE Title. I can not express how "excited" I am about this. As always, refresh your browser for the latest.
Shane McMahon comes out to start the show. Some funny fan signs about Vince's new haircut. He is appalled that the McMahon name has gone from producing fear and respect to laughter then calls out Lashley. He announces that Lashley will be defending the ECW World Title against (no surprise) Shane McMahon which prompts Umaga to come out. Shane slaps Estrada and faces down Umaga with no fear and tells them to head to the back. Lashley grabs the mic and adds that if he wins Shane will also go bald.

Mickie James and Candice Michelle are taking on Victoria and Melina. The only lady that is really out of place here is Candice. Mickie with control then tags Candice. Victoria now tagged in and gets a few nearfalls. Interesting double team move from Victoria and Melina gets Melina 2. Melina has really impressed me as of late with her unique submission moves. Hot tag to Mickie who cleans house. Nice rana from Mickie gets 2. Big DDT from Mickie on Victoria gets the win.
Clip of Vince getting his head shaved. That was one of the best things I've seen all my life.

Backstage with Mick and a child who is the honorary GM for the night.
Carlito and Flair are in the ring. Carlito thanks him for setting him straight a while ago then they have a video the 4 Horsemen DVD coming out. Cade and Murdoch come out as we go to commercial.
Flair and Cade are in the ring with Cade and Murdoch in control but Flair fights back and tags in Carlito. Cade and Murdoch with an interesting double team move on Carlito to get the win. Carlito storms up the ramp with Flair left in the ring looking confused.

Backstage with Shane and Coach. Shane tells to focus on his day to day duties.
Grisham interviewing HBK. He talks about his match with Orton who then appears. Both say they have a desire to win the WWE Title.

Orton and HBK are up now. HBK has bled the hard way I believe. Michaels now in control and working on Orton's knee. Edge has now come out which allows HBK to get a roll up for 2.
Commercial.
Orton has taken control during the break. Orton with that awesome DDT and gets a nearfall. HBK fighting back, gets a sunset flip for 2 and Orton clotheslines him. Exchange of punches and we get a ref bump. HBK is tuning up the band but Edge distracts him which allows Orton clothesline HBK and himself to the outside. RKO on the outside, Edge and Orton argue for a but then Edge spears Orton on the outside and rolls him back in. Another ref comes in, HBK hits SCM for the pin. The original ref says that Orton wins the match since both men's shoulders were on the mat. Edge walks up the ramp smiling saying he's the #1 Contender.

Backstage with Shane and Orton. He tells Orton to talk to Coach.
Back with Mick and the honorary GM. He gets autographs from Val and Super Crazy then Coach comes over. Edge tells Coach they need to talk to Coach about what happened in the Orton/HBK match.

The Hardys are taking on The World's Greatest Tag Team in a non-title match. Haas and Benjamin in firm control. Matt now in cleaning house. Series of Doubleteam moves from The Hardys get the win.

Edge comes out for his segment with a confident look on his face. He is about to introduce Cena but Orton comes out and chases him out of the ring. Orton is saying he's going to face Cena but HBK is now out. HBK of course says he wants a rematch with Cena but the man they're all talking about has finally made his appearence. He runs down all 3 men then talks about his WM 23 match then Coach comes out. He says that HBK is out of the running and it'll be a 2 on 1 Handicap match with the winnner being the champ which brings out Mick Foley and the honorary GM who announce it will be a Fatal 4 Way for the WWE Championship.
Commercial.
Main Event time. Shane takes it to Lashley right off the bat. Lashley fighting back and is now in control. Shane purposely gets himself DQed by hitting the ref. Umaga is now out with Estrada and Vince in tow. Umaga destroys Lashley then Shane blasts Lashley in the head with a chair. Everybody gets their shots in then Vince announces he is going to defend the ECW Title against himself, Shane and Umaga at Backlash. They beat on him some more to end the show.
