Lions, Tiger Sharks and Red Bears...Oh My~! IFL Battleground 05/13/2007 Report
It is a night of knockouts tonight on Battleground as we see the top KO's in IFL history and look for the newest Knockout outside the cage with the IFL Ring Girl Search.
This one is for Ric, so you'd better link it...biatch.
Show opens with Bas asking various fighters about the Knockout. It shows superiority over an opponent we are told. I'd have to agree with that comment.
Bas says they went through hundreds of rounds and thousands of hours of fight footage to bring the Ultimate collection. That's kind of stupid, I mean why not just look at the rounds where KO's occured?
First KO we see is Delson Heleno and Ben Uker. They're showing us the whole round in which this took place...not a bad thing accept I already saw this fight. A flying knee finds its mark and Uker is on his way to dreamstreet. Some ground and pound later and we've got a win for Heleno. Well, they did say they're working their way up.
Oh, we're going to be able to vote for the best one on IFL.tv.
IFL searches for the next ring girl...I suggest the strip in Vegas. At least the great Bas Rutten is the judge.
Commercial Break!!!
We're back and the next knockout featured is Rory Markham Vs. Brad Blackburn. We pick things up in Round 2. Blackburn apparently controlled round 1 but Markham came out swinging in round 2 and it wasn't long before there was a KO. I wouldn't call it the most devistating I've ever seen but once a guy is out, it doesn't matter how he got there.
More KO's are coming later.
Commercial Break!!!
That segment went about 90 seconds.
Ok, I'm thinking that I'm not really a fan of this week's format. I think they were closer last week. I just saw the most indescribable commercial for that don'ttellmyparents.org website.
Next up is Savant Young KOing Adam Lynn with 1 punch in 21 seconds of the second round. That's more like it, when I think devistating Knockouts I think of one big blow not a flury of things.
Bart Palaszewski tosses his hat in the ring after...a Commercial Break!!!
Ok, this is really pissing me off. Another 2 minute segment then a break. If this went 2 minutes I'll be surprised.
We're back, and we are told that sometimes KO's don't come with one lucky punch it has to rain punches first. In order to prove that fact we get Bart Palaszewski Vs. Ryan Schultz.
Action picks up in the third round.
Palaszewski lands a punch right on the button. We're told that we've seen the men knockout, now we get to see knockouts of a different variety as the IFL ring girl search is meant to get under way. Also, the fastest KO's in IFL history back to back to back in under 60 seconds.
Commercial Break!!!
Jesus, fuck there's a lot of commercials here. I'm really tired and there's not a lot for me to comment on, so recap over.
IFL, its back to the drawing board. I can't handle this 1 minute of show followed by 3 commercials crap.
If you're upset with this ending early, watch the damn show yourself...if you're lucky you might see a knockout in amongst the zillion commercials.

Well, I linked it, but now, because of you, I won't know how the search for a ring girl turned out. God, I hate you!
