Dynamite USA predictions Recap

The short version:
Art: 8-2
Casey: 7-3
Euan: 7-3
Scott: 6-4
Art has won back to back events. You can see our analysis for this show and mock us for it here but there's not much there to mock.

Fight-by-fight Breakdown and stats with appropriately funny comments behind the cut.

Gesias "JZ" Calvancanti vs. Nam Phan
Casey-Euan: Calvancanti, Art-Scott: Nam Phan
Split down the middle, but after this I doubt Art and Scott are fans of Phan.

Katsuhiko Nagata: Vs. Isiah Hill
Unanimous: Katsuhiko Nagata
Hill taking this on like 5 seconds notice didn't help him in our eyes. I heard he made a go of it though. Casey and Euan, (2-0), Art and Scott: (1-1)

Tim "Big Perm" Persey: vs. Jonathan Wiezorek
Casey and Euan, Persey. Art and Scott, Wiezorek
Last time we had this split, Euan and I came out victorious. This time, was not last time. Everyone: (2-1)

Jake Shields vs. Ido Pariente
Casey Art and Euan: Shields, Scott: Pariente
I don't know what Scott was thinking, but then I never do and am happier this way. Casey, Art and Euan (3-1) Scott (2-2)

Johnnie Morton vs. Bernard Ackah
Scott, Euan and Art, Ackah. One dumbass, Morton. I'm not going to say who the dumbass was but I will say if any of you fuckers calls him one, he'll beat your asses.
Euan and Art: (4-1) Scott: (3-2) Casey: I think my pick for this fight got lost in the mail. (3-2)

"Mighty" Mo Siliga vs. Ruben Villareal
Casey Art and Euan, Mighty Moe. Scott Ruben Villareal
Scott's lack of knowledge of fighters hurt him here, but at least he still makes picks. Unlike some who can't be bothered (Hi Wade/Marcus) or who forget (Hi Ric!, though your modem may have been a factor)
Euan and Art: (5-1) Casey: (4-2) Scott (3-3)

Melvin Manhoef vs. Yoon Dong Sik
Casey Art and Euan: Manhoef, Scott: Sik
Scott's lack of knowledge of fighters aided him big-time here. I should note that I had Sik originally but like a true pussy changed my mind when I saw the odds on Manhoef. Yes, I'm a dumbass. No, you may not call me one.
Euan and Art (5-2) Casey and Scott (4-3)

Hideo Tokoro vs. Brad "One Punch" Pickett
Casey and Art: Tokoro, Euan and Scott: Pickett
This was when the championship was decided as Euan and Art were on opposite sides and they agreed on the final 2 bouts. I originally had Pickett but like the true visionary I am I changed my pick to Tokoro at the last minute. You may now praise me for the next 3 years.
Art: (6-2), Euan and Casey: (5-3) and Scott: (4-4)

Royce Gracie vs. Kazushi Sakuraba
Unanimous: Gracie
Hey, Unanimous picks did better on this show than they did on last week's UFC show, so it is only that company where they're cursed (Hi Keith Jardine and Chuck Liddell)
Art: (7-2) Euan and Casey (6-3) and Scott (5-4)

Brock Lesnar vs. Min Soo Kim
Unanimous: Lesnar
Duh! Art (8-2) Euan and Casey (7-3) Scott (6-4)

Looking at the stats, I'll only post those effected by this show.

Events won:
Casey and Wade: 7
Ric and Euan: 6
Marcus: 4
Scott: 2
Art: 2
Art was the last one to pick up that first win and now he's gone back-to-back even if the winning record for UFC 71 was (4-5) held by Ric, myself and Art. A win is a win even if it is ugly.

Art and Euan must like these EXC shows.
EXC Standings:
Art: 2 events, 15 wins, 5 losses for 75%
Euan: 2 events, 15 wins, 5 losses for 75%
Casey: 2 events, 13 wins, 7 losses for 65%
Scott: 2 event, 12 wins, 8 losses for 60%
Marcus: 1 event, 7 wins, 3 losses for 70%
Ric: 1 event, 5 wins, 5 losses for 50%
Wade: 1 event, 4 wins, 6 losses for 40%

Looking at the MMA standings, Art has a strong percentage going. Sure, Marcus' is higher but Art has twice as many events. Ric's is great as well but since we never praise him, fuck off.

MMA Overall Standings:
Euan: 11 events, 57 wins, 42 losses, 1 NC for 57.58%
Casey: 11 events, 56 wins, 43 losses, 1 NC for 56.57%
Scott: 11 events, 50 wins, 49 losses, 1 NC for 50.51%
Art: 9 events, 52 wins, 31 losses for 62.65%
Ric: 8 events, 41 wins, 26 losses, 1 NC for 61.19%
Wade: 6 events, 29 wins, 24 losses, 1 NC for 54.72%
Marcus: 4 events, 24 wins, 12 losses for 66.67%
Alan: 3 events, 11 wins, 13 losses for 45.83%
Jason: 1 event, 6 wins, 3 losses for 66.67%

Looking at overall, before this show there were 21 events, I had picked them all. At the end of the month, 31 will be the total so we increase the total by nearly 50% in just June.

Overall Standings:
Casey: 22 events, 105 wins, 80 losses, 1 NC for 56.76%
Euan: 21 events, 98 wins, 78 losses, 1 NC for 55.68%
Scott: 21 events, 94 wins, 84 losses, 1 NC for 52.81%
Art: 19 events, 91 wins, 67 losses for 57.59%
Wade: 16 events, 80 wins, 52 losses, 1 NC for 60.61%
Ric: 16 events, 74 wins, 51 losses, 1 NC for 59.20%
Marcus: 9 events, 47 wins, 28 losses for 62.27%
Alan: 3 Events, 11 wins, 13 losses for 45.83%
Jason: 1 event, 6 wins, 3 losses for 66.67%

There you have it. If I'm still motivated as time passes, you might see more of these where I don't just give the numbers but break them down. Having Art on board has really helped my motivation b/c it really has slashed my workload.

Tomorrow night, 2 more CARE/Jabroni events get added to the list with WWE 'One Night Stand' and WEC on Versus. I'll have live round-by-round coverage of the televised portion of the Versus event. Ric's got One Night Stand cause he's lucky that way.

Also, I'm thinking of uploading the spreadsheet I use to keep track of this stuff to google docs and spreadsheets so others have access to it. I've got more categories on the sheet than I list in the column.
