IWA Deep South returns to action on Saturday night July 7th as we make our debut in Sylacauga, Alabama at the National Guard Armory.
"Marvelous" Mitch Ryder has stated that he is coming to IWA Deep South to make an impact. He thinks he can just come in and run through all the competition and take over. Well IWA officials wanted to throw a huge test at Mitch right off the bat to see just how good he is. They went to a man who has wrestled here before and has been a huge star for years in the NWA, WCW, UWF and many other places. On Saturday night July 7th, "Marvelous" Mitch Ryder will go one on one with Brad Armstrong.
In our last update, we mentioned that Iceberg had an open challenge to anyone on the IWA Deep South roster. Well we have a man that has stepped up and to be quite honest, it shocked us as that man was none other than Ricochet. Ricochet told us that he's been here in IWA Deep South for over a year and is looking to be taken seriously. He said what better way to get respect than to go up against one half of the tag team champions. He feels that if he can get a win over the huge Iceberg, it will elevate his career here in IWA Deep South. We tried to get comments from Iceberg, but when we told him who had accepted his challenge, all we heard was laughter and him muttering something about having the easiest night of his career. It should be an interesting match, that's for sure, when the 160 pound high flying Ricochet takes on the 500+ pound monster Iceberg.
