McQuistan out - Boothe in?
According to the IBA's Raiders Blog Kevin Boothe has been practicing with the starting lineup this week.
McDonald says that it might not be fair to McQuistan given that the rest of the line has played so poorly to be benched especially when the next opponent is the Cleveland Browns who do not have the same caliber of defense as the San Diego Chargers or Baltimore Ravens
Honestly:
Assuming that things will improve just because Cleveland isn't Baltimore or San Diego is beyond crazy. Not that McDonald is doing this but it seems to be a theme among Raiders fans or in some news articles.
The fact is they could play all their lineman and QB Andrew Walter and it wouldn't matter the 7 step drop and 1960's era offense isn't going to work over the coarse of a 16 game season. You don't need a guy dropping back 7 steps when your line is struggling. That's a recipe for a tribute to a fallen teammate during a future game.
