NFL Midseason recap

I said I'd take a look at the season so far during my abreviated blog on Monday night of the worst MNF game ever.

AFC East
What I said heading in to the season
New England 6/2
New york Jets 4/4
Buffalo 3/5
Miami 2/6
OCC: Ok so I was a moron for writing off New England and going with Miami based on the end of last season. It does bring me some comfort to know I'm not the only moron. New England is still the class of the division and by virtue of the fact they are in last place, Miami would appear to be the division's ass. Buffalo is better than I said they would be and so are the Jets.

AFC North
What I said headed in to the Season
Baltimore 6/2
Cincinnati 4/4
Pittsburgh 2/6
Cleveland 2/6
OCC: I'm pretty sure the only thing I got right in this division was Cleveland being at the bottom of it. The only question is was I more wrong about Pittsburgh or Baltimore. I'd say that Pittsburgh being so bad is more of a surprise than Baltimore being in first place because the Ravens did have a defense good enough to carry them this far and we did know this going in to the season. Cincinnati may be the most surprising of all in that they look like an average team after a 3-1 start.

AFC South
What I said headed in to the Season
Indianapolis 8/0
Jacksonville 5/3
Houston 2/6
Tennessee 2/6
OCC: If I got the AFC North more wrong than any other division hen the 1 I have been the most correct about is the AFC South. Indianapolis is still the cream of the division, Houston and Tennessee will be fighting to see which one is worse and Jacksonville plays up to or down to the level of their opponent every week.

AFC West
What I said headed in to the season
Denver 6/2
San Diego 6/2
Kansas City 5/3
Oakland 2/6
OCC: This is the toughest division in football. I was most wrong about Kansas City picking them for dead last but they've still got it, don't ask me how.

NFC East
What I said headed in to the Season
New York Giants 6/2
Philadelphia 4/4
Dallas 4/4
Washington 3/5
OCC: This was thought to be the toughest division in the NFL and maybe it still is from the standpoint that it is the hardest to pick winners from on a week to week basis. Philadelphia, Dallas and Washington have consistently been inconsistent.

NFC North
What I said Headed in to the Season
Chicago 7/1
Minnesota 4/4
Green Bay 3/5
Detroit 2/6
OCC: I thought Green Bay would be the worst team in the league, well I was wrong. I did think the Bears would benefit from an easy schedule and they have up to this point. Minnesota is right about where I thought they'd be and Detroit sucks.

NFC South

New Orleans 6/2

Atlanta 5/3
Carolina 4/4
Tampa Bay 2/6
OCC: Tampa Bay slid as I thought they might, I just didn't think they'd slide to the bottom of the division. The Saints are obviously the biggest surprise in the division if not the entire NFL. Carolina should be better and I don't know why they can't find a rhythm.

NFC West
What I said headed in to the Season
Seattle 5/3
St. Louis 4/4
San Francisco 3/5
Arizona 1/7
OCC: This is still the worst division in the league. I didn't pick Arizona to sit at the top of it the way some did, but I am surprised they are in dead last and so bad.

So there is the midway look at the NFL with references to the preseason picks just to show how much of an idiot I really am at this stage. I ask you how many people are actually willing to link you back to their stupid posts from the past?
