This Day in Sheiky History: 01/26

This is a new feature of the OCC, known as This Day in Sheiky History. This was Art's suggestion so if you hate it, it is his fault, and if you love it, he will gladly take gifts of large amounts of cash. I of course will take full credit for writing it and just like Art, I also will take gifts of large amounts of cash.

Now, for those of you reading this, you know a little about the man, the legend, the Sheiky. As has been made clear in the past on the former Ric & Steve...Er...Karl show, Sheiky is not The Iron Sheik. They just have a staggering amount of things in common.

You see, Sheiky is no ordinary human being. As a matter of fact, Sheiky has been on this planet for as he would put it "mellion mellion year"

Now, you need to understand that Sheiky is not old even though he's been around along time. He is a Legend, if you know what's good for you. Calling him Old will result in you going through the 4 steps to an old country humbling so fast by the time you've felt the pain from the suplex, Sheiky will be finished and smoking a cigarette.

As Sheiky has been around for so long he has compiled quite the history.

A lot of things have happened that you might want to be aware of and that is why the exhaustive and exhausted research staff of the Old Country Corner have gotten together, were smashed beyond belief for 4 weeks and did some of their best work before dying of something called alcohol poisoning. Expect them to be honored with a Darwin Award sometime between now and when the sun explodes killing us all.

Luckily their research was preserved so we can now start to reveal things that have happened on this date in Sheiky's history.

On January 26, 1942 a rather important event occurred.

We have the first recorded instance of Sheiky declaring someone to be: "Vorse than Hulk Hogan!"

It seems that while Sheiky was doing his grocery shopping, got to keep stocked up on lubricants for reasons we won't explain in this space, the clerk in the checkout line short changed him by $2. This would also explain his need to insist that people tip other people at least $2 whenever possible.

He went back to the teller and went on his Sheiky rant. He went through the usual "No-Good Lowlife, Ponk little gay" spiel (that was long ago a Sheiky trademark) but this time he finished with a flurry and got so worked up he uttered the phrase: "You are vorse than Hulk Hogan and I navaire raspact you again". This left on-lookers confused as Hulk Hogan wasn't to be born for another 11 years.

The Incident caused quite the riot in the supermarket as gold spray paint was everywhere when it was all said and done, and it made the local paper. The most well known quote is repeated below:

You vas lucky ponk, to the policeman come save you. If I ever see you again I'm gonna break your back...

It seems the newspaper didn't want to print the words that usually follow that particular proclamation.

So there you have it, on this day in Sheiky history in 1942 an unfortunate supermarket clerk was the first to be labeled as "Vorse than Hulk Hogan", and as I'm sure you know by now that young man would not be the last.
