ACW News: 7/17 Results & 8/4 Information

On Tuesday July 17, 2007American Combat Wrestling returned to Bourbon Street Night Club 4331 US 19N in New Port Richey, FL. The evening was violent and hardcore with two Combat title tournament matches.



Speaking of the Combat tournament, the evening was opened by the former champion and current ACW Heavyweight champion “Rough House” Ralph Mosca. But before he could really express his thoughts, the New Movement hit the stage. David Mercury spoke for the group about his partners in crime having two matches tonight and how they would advance in the tournament. Mosca reminded them who their opponents in the tournament were, namely Sideshow, Dany Only and Ray Beez. Mosca dared Eddie Taurus to give Mercury his number one contenders spot. Taurus agreed and Mercury is now the number one contender. Mosca was so confident he would beat Mercury he is going to let him choose the stipulation.



(1) Nick “I’m Not Gay” Fame defeated Shayne Swift.

Despite working in tag matches in recent weeks, Swift took the fight to Fame and his left arm. Fame got a little upset and kicked Swift in the hamstring but Swift fired back with a series of kicks that sent Fame running to the floor. Swift followed with a plancha and brought Fame back in the ring where Fame fell to the mat with an injured knee. Referee Billy Dalton checked on Fame and when Swift thought it was over, Fame attacked from behind in true gold bricking fashion. Fame tossed Swift’s left shoulder into the middle turnbuckle and he continued the attack with a backbreaker on the arm. Fame did further damage when the duo fought on the floor and Swift’s arm met the bar. Swift fired back with a body block and Whisper in the Wind but Fame leveled him with a clothesline and a shoulderbreaker for two. Fame went for the submission with an overhand wristlock but Swift fought out, only to be punched right in the teeth. Swift countered out of a shoulderbreaker and back up into a DDT but couldn’t follow up. Swift got to his feet but it took three clotheslines to get Fame off his feet. He followed with a series of kicks to Fame’s head but Fame kicked out as he did after the Rocker Dropper. Swift went for another DDT but Fame held on and hit a Northern Lights Bomb and with his feet on the ropes.



(2) Moonshine McCoy defeated Michael Patrick.

The crowd kept calling Patrick an ape and wanted him to shave his back. McCoy tried to do that while raking his nails down Patrick’s back. Patrick bailed to the floor and demanded McCoy play by the rules. Patrick finally came back to the ring but his armbar was countered by McCoy and he backed to a corner for sanctuary. Patrick got a side headlock and punched McCoy; all that did was hurt his fist. But the choking on the ropes slowed McCoy down somewhat. Patrick kept the rulebreaking up with eye rakes and chokes. But when Patrick went up top McCoy fell into the ropes and it cause Patrick to lose his balance and McCoy press slammed him off. McCoy went on the attack but was slowed by a knee to the gut. However the end came for Patrick when McCoy countered a slam into a Slop Drop.



(3) Nooie Lee defeated Suicide.

Having faced each other in other Florida promotions, Lee knew his opponent and jumped Suicide. But it backfired as Suicide took over with a series of high flying moves. Lee put a stop to all that with a belly to back suplex for two. Lee hit a slam and a powerdrive elbow for two and laid in some kicks to Suicide’s prone body. Lee kept Suicide grounded with a neck vise submission but Suicide fought to his feet but got taken back down with an STO for two. Lee hit a leg lariat and took Suicide back to the mat with an abdominal stretch like hold. Suicide got to his feet again but Lee hit a modified Sky High Slam for two. Lee went for another submission with a leg lace but Suicide hit several forearms to get out of the hold but fell right back into a chinlock. Suicide got out of the hold with a jawbreaker but his top rope move was briefly cut off. Lee and Suicide fought on the top but it was Lee who fell back to the mat and Suicide hit a body block. Suicide got to his feet first and took over with a double knee jawbreaker. But it ended for him when he got too close to Lee who got the pin with a chain wrestling move.



(4) ACW Tag Team champions Delta Iota Kappa (“Candizzle Dream” Joshua Masters & Sedrick Strong w/Fetish) defeated ACW Cruiserweight champion Jaison Moore & the Flea From The Hind of a Dog.

The champs had no clue how to handle the Dog so they kept Moore in the ring. That didn’t really go great either as Moore came ready to walk out with double gold in his hands. The Dog tagged in and tried to bit Masters hand off. Obviously Masters didn’t like that so he kneed the Dog in the gut and the DIK attack went into full swing for several minutes. The Dog survived this attack and was finally able to tag Moore back in. But despite their best efforts, Moore and the Dog fell to DIK and a double team chokeslam.



(5) In an opening round ACW Combat championship tournament match, Eddie Taurus of the New Movement (w/George Martel) defeated Dany Only.

All Combat matches are HARDCORE and this was right up Only’s alley. Taurus decided to counter this with a power attack, shoving Only to the canvas. But this didn’t work out as Only got a series of quick two counts before Taurus bailed to the floor. Only followed and the fighting was on, in and out of the ring. Taurus went right back to the ring to equalize Only’s brawling with wrestling and some kicks to the middle of Only’s back. Only fought back with right hand punches to the jaw but Taurus hit a leg lariat for one. Martel decided to spice things up so he handed Taurus a trash can but it ended up on Only’s hands and over Taurus’ head. Only kicked the can and it sent Taurus falling to the mat. Taurus fought back with chest chops, forearms and a blatant choke. Only avoided a corner splash and hit Taurus with a Hot Shot followed by a leg drop for two. Only went to the ropes but Martel tripped him up and Only followed to the floor to choke out Martel. Taurus followed with a cooking sheet but missed Only who spewed green mist into Taurus’ eyes. Only tried to open up Taurus’ head with right hand punches above the eye. Taurus fought back with punches of his own but Only smashed his face on the ring apron. Only wedged the garbage can in the corner but his whip was countered into a powerslam. Taurus went up top but missed his double stomp and Only blocked the superkick, hitting a sideslam. But Martel got the referee’s attention and Only got his eyes raked. Taurus hit Only with a chair shot and used the chair’s bottom to choke out Only.



(6) In an opening round ACW Combat championship tournament match, Sideshow defeated Austin Amadeus of the New Movement (w/David Mercury.)

Sideshow went right on the attack with a series of kicks to Amadeus’ upper body which made him bail to the floor for advice from Mercury. But Sideshow was in such a fighting mood he followed them out to the floor and the chairs and punches began to fly. When the action came back to the ring it was Amadeus who was delivering the kicks. When Amadeus got tired, he simply tossed Sideshow out to Mercury for some punishment. Amadeus got the garbage can used in the previous match and set it up in a corner. But first he used some chain wrestling chokes on Sideshow and took the can to Sideshow’s body. But Amadeus got cocky and when he took his eyes off Sideshow, he got hit with a Backiotomy for two. Sideshow put the trash can on Amadeus’ upper body and hit it with a front kick. The action went to the floor where Sideshow used a fan’s crutch on Amadeus’ throat. Amadeus fought back and hit Sideshow with a backbreaker onto the ring apron for two. Amadeus hit Sideshow with kicks and forearms that sent him back to the floor where Mercury was waiting with open arms and closed fists. Amadeus drove Sideshow’s back into a wall but a miscommunication in the ring cost Amadeus the match as Sideshow hit the Double Penetration to advance. Mercury jumped Sideshow after the match but Ralph Mosca hit the ring and then Mercury with punches to the jaw before Mercury bailed to higher ground.

LIVE SPOILERS from TNA Impact Tapings: Samoa Joe Decides About the Gold.

These are the 100% complete live spoilers from the TNA IMPACT Tapings. By the end of this evening we will know the fate of World X Division champion & new TNA World Tag Team champion Samoa Joe. Only during the first hour did we see any backstage interviews.



Hour one notes:



Jeremy Borash was sent by Jim Cornette to find World champion Kurt Angle. But he found Angle in a tanning bed and he refused to go see Cornette. Angle also accused Borash of “checking out his package.” Angle felt Samoa Joe was going to surrender the tag titles after was screwed over on Sunday.



(1) XXX (“PrimeTime” Elix Skipper, “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels & Senshi) defeated Serotonin (Raven, Havok & Martyr)

That’s right the multi-time former World Tag Team champions reunited last Sunday when Daniels became #1 contender to the World X Division title. XXX wasted no time in their trickery as Skipper went to lockup with Havok and Daniels jumped him from behind. The XXX advantage ended when raven hit Daniels in the back with the Singapore cane. That allowed Serotonin to take over Daniels in their corner of the ring. Martyr had Daniels in a front facelock when Skipper hit a slingshot move that let Daniels free so he could tag in Senshi. The end came for Havok who got hit with a Skipper legdrop, Daniels’ BME and Senshi’s Warrior’s Way.



After the match Frankie “the Future” Kazarian attacked Serotonin and left before he could suffer any real damage. Jeremy Borash came back to Angle’s tanning bed to find Angle tanning his buttocks. He told Angle that Cornette would fine him $10,000 if he didn’t come to the office. Angle got out of the tanning bed to find all of his clothes and two title belts missing. So he left the room in his bikini briefs. Mike Tenay & Don West were addressing the home audience when Team 3D crashed the party. They said they knew the Steiner Brothers were not in the building but were watching at home. Ray said they cost Team 3D their World Tag Team titles and wanted to repay them face to face next week. Devon didn’t like something Tenay said and he choked him as Ray grabbed the timekeeper’s hammer threatening to hit Tenay. Kurt Angle began his search for his clothing and he questioned the TNA locker room. He accused Shark Boy of smiling like it was a joke, so he attacked him. Maybe Angle wasn’t wearing his glasses broke by Serotonin last Sunday or he just didn’t realize Shark wears a mask.



(2) Voodoo Kin Mafia member Kip James (w/BG James & Roxxi Laveaux) defeated Lance Hoyt (w/Christy Hemme).

Both Kip and Hoyt fought a power match in the early moments until Kip sent Hoyt to the floor where he followed and laid in some punches. Hoyt tried to avoid the punches and Laveaux as best he could and the tide turned when Kip focused on Hemme instead of Hoyt. Hoyt attacked and took the match back to the ring. Kip fought back with a Thesz press and avoided a Hoyt boot to hit “the One and Only” to win. After the match Hemme tried to crotch shot Kip but got stopped and Laveaux came in to hit a Styles Clash-like move sending Hemme to the locker room in Hoyt’s arms.



Kurt Angle met with the TNA production crew trying to find his lost items. He told everyone he would count to ten and they could return his stuff. Poor David Sahadi had to endure Angle’s package being near his face as the countdown occurred. A cameraman decided to leave but Angle attacked him thinking he was the thief.



(3) “Instant Classic” Christian Cage & “Tennessee Cowboy” James Storm (w/Jacqueline Moore, a six pack of longnecks & Tomko) defeated “War Machine” Rhino & “Wildcat” Chris Harris.

These four men met in singles matches on Sunday night so Jim Cornette decided to let them settle their differences. Harris jumped Cage at the opening bell and went to work with the punches before tagging in Rhino. However Rhino took his focus off Cage for too long and looking for Storm cost him. Cage hit Rhino with a clothesline off the ring apron. Cage & Storm kept Rhino isolated from his corner for several minutes. Harris tried to aid Rhino but it only did harm as Cage kept the referee busy, Storm hit a running boot to the face. Somehow Cage ended up on Storm’s shoulders as Rhino was on the top buckle and Rhino raked Storm’s eyes. Rhino hit Cage with a clothesline and tagged into a fired up Harris. Rhino had Storm set for the GORE but Cage pulled him to the floor. Storm went for the Superkick but Harris blocked it and hit the Catatonic but Tomko pulled referee Rudy Charles to the floor. Harris looked for the referee and Dustin Rhodes hit him in the back with a chair. Storm crawled over and covered Harris to win. After the match the real fun began as Rhino attacked anyone that moved including Moore but Rhino picked her up for a powerslam. He made the mistake of losing sight of Tomko, who kicked Rhino in the face making Moore fall onto Rhino. When you thought things were done Abyss came looking for revenge on Cage. Cage hightailed it but backed into Sting and the baseball bat. Sting tossed Cage into Abyss for some retribution.



A nicely robed Kurt Angle came into the Impact Zone. Angle said he had a sense of humor and enjoyed being ribbed but the joking was over. He even accused the fans of stealing his stuff and putting it on E-Bay. That brought out Samoa Joe who came with his three title belts and Angle’s wardrobe plus the World title belt. Joe decided to make his announcement. He wanted to bury the hatchet with Angle so he gave Angle back his two title belts and clothing. Joe said like Angle he wants to find out who is the best in the world. Joe said at Hard Justice he wanted Angle one more time where the winner takes all the gold. Angle accepted and Joe headbutted him right in the forehead. Joe laid out Angle and then went for a table. But Angle escaped Joe’s clutches and drove Joe into the table, locking the Ankle Lock on Joe. Afterwards Jeremy Borash filmed some stuff for TNA Today.



Hour two notes:



(1) NO DQ match, Sting defeated Robert Roode (w/Ms. Brooks).

Not too sure what happened between these two to make it a no DQ match. Roode jumped Sting at the bell and the violence began. Sting fought back introducing Roode’s head to the top turnbuckles and followed him to the floor. Ting tossed Roode into the guardrails and the stairs as Brooks objected. Roode fought back but his piledriver but Sting backdropped Roode on the rampway. Brooks kept Sting busy as Roode got a chair and hit Sting in the back. Roode came back into the ring with a top rope clothesline for two as Eric Young came out painted like Sting. Roode ignored Young and hit Sting with a top rope knee for two before locking in a bear hug. Sting tried to escape so Roode backed him to a corner but his chest chops had zero effect. Sting was 100% fired up and took it out on Roode & Brooks. Roode avoided the Stinger Splash and fought off the Scorpion Deathlock, hitting Sting with a spinebuster for two. Brooks gave Roode a chair but Young took it and Sting won via the Scorpion Death Drop.



(2) Latin American Xchange (“Notorious 187” Homicide & Hotstuff Hernandez) defeated Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & “the Future” Chris Sabin).

At the bell the Gun dropkicked Hernandez to the floor so they could double team Homicide for several minutes. The Notorious One fought back and tagged in Hernandez who tossed around the Guns. But the Guns fought back with a series of kicks to the head of Hernandez. LAX double teamed Shelley and sent him to the floor with a hurt back. Sabin escaped the Cop Killer but couldn’t avoid a LAX double team from the top rope.



The LAX celebration was interrupted by Team 3D who told them to hit the bricks; they only wanted the Steiner Brothers in the ring. LAX reluctantly stepped out of the ring as the show went to commercial. 3D egged on the fans waiting for the Steiner’s. The fans made fun of 3D member Devon who owns a smoothie shop in Florida. 3D got their wish and the Steiner Brothers hit the ring. Scott said no one calls out the Steiner’s they do the calling out. Scott said the Latin Nation were his favorite people after his injury during a TNA Event in Puerto Rico. Scott said he was upset he missed Slammiversary due to a trachea injury that nearly killed him. To the shock of everyone in the thank you to the PR medical team that saved him, Scott also thanked the fans for the well wishes he received. Ray said that Scott got injured by a second rate PR wrestler and Team 3D could take him out, even going as far as doubting the actuality of any injury. Scott showed off his scar on the right side of his chest. Ray said that injury was nothing compared to the ones in the ECW locker room. The arguing was not over as the Voodoo Kin Mafia came out to join the former World Tag Team reunion saying they were the best team in wrestling history. Scott said yeah the VKM was on top, on top of a heap of crap a everyone was watching WCW for 84 weeks in a row. Scott said he wasn’t medically cleared for a match but he could kick their asses with no permission needed. During the fighting Devon spit on a LAX flag and that brought out LAX to defend their flags and it looked liked the Steiner’s.



(3) No DQ match, “the Phenomenal” AJ Styles defeated Abyss.

This rivalry goes back to the weekly PPV days in Nashville where they tore down the Asylum even as they held the NWA World Tag Team championships. This was probably the bloodiest match in their rivalry. Styles hit a slingshot shoulder tackle and we were off and brawling. Abyss fought back with a running butt to the face in the corner. Abyss went to press slam Styles too the fans but Styles slid off only to be see Styles go over the ropes to the floor. Styles hit Abyss in the head wit ha chair and climbed into the fans, hitting a sort of springboard forearm from the seats. Abyss went back to the ring as Abyss tossed a chair in for some fun as he put the chair in between the buckles. Styles countered out of Shock Treatment but even after moves couldn’t avoid the chair in the corner. Abyss hit Shock Treatment for two and signaled for Doomsday. But Styles countered out of the Black Hole Slam and hit the Pele’. Styles went for a springboard move but Abyss caught him and hit the chokeslam for two as Tomko came out to ringside. Abyss hit the Black Hole Slam but Tomko broke up the pin. But the lights went down and up with Sting in the ring attacking Tomko. Abyss went under the ring and when he went for the bag of goodies he was dragged under ring. This left Sting alone to be attacked by Styles, Tomko and Robert Roode who joined the festivities. Abyss finally came out from under the ring a bloody mess. Christian Cage and his black shirt security appeared on the rampway and Cage grabbed the bag of broken glass, spreading it in the ring. But instead of Abyss, Tomko chokeslammed Sting into the glass. Styles got another bag from under the ring and it was thumb tacks spread on top of the glass. Tomko hit Abyss with the double chokeslam and Styles won via pinfall. Jeremy Borash came out to film more TNA Today stuff talking to Styles, Cage, Tomko and Roode. The TNA medical trainer had to come out and check on Sting & Abyss before he would let them go to the locker room for treatment.

(2) Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & “the Future” Chris Sabin) defeated “the Guru” Sonjay Dutt & Petey Williams when Sabin countered out of the Canadian Destroyer, allowing Shelley to hit a top rope boot to Williams’ head setting up the Cradle Shock.



(3) “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal & “Showtime” Eric Young defeated Serotonin members Havok & Martyr when Young hit both men with a DVD and Lethal hit his Macho Man elbow drop.

Live TNA Victory Road PPV Notes: Returns, Debuts & A 3 Title Main Event

These are live notes from the TNA Wrestling Victory Road 2007 PPV where someone will walk out of the main event with two championship belts. Jeff Jarrett was in attendance and it was great to see him with a smile on his face. As was Fighting Spirit Pro Wrestling star George Rodriguez and “M-Dogg 20” Matt Cross.



For the Impact Zone fans only, they saw Serotonin members Havok & Martyr defeat Akira Reijin & Gote (apologies on the misspelling of the New Japan names.)



(1) In an Ultimate X gauntlet match to name a new #1 contender, “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels defeated Frankie “the Future” Kazarian, “Prime Time” Elix Skipper, Puma, Black Machismo” Jay Lethal, “the Guru” Sonjay Dutt, “Notorious 187” Homicide, Shark Boy, Senshi and Petey Williams.

If you need any additional reason to buy this PPV on replay this match is the reason. With so much action going on, it is hard to make a coherent recap. Penzer said the rules were 2 matches in one: it opened as battle royal gauntlet with a new person every minute. They can be eliminated battle royal style. When all 10 enter the Ultimate X match begins. The order of entry in the gauntlet and who eliminated them: (1) Daniels (2) Jay Lethal (3) Puma (eliminated by Williams) (4) Homicide (5) Sonjay Dutt (eliminated by Skipper) (6) Petey Williams (eliminated by Homicide) (7) Shark Boy (eliminated by Skipper) (8)Elix Skipper (9)Frankie Kazarian (10) Senshi. The move of the match saw Kazarian bring Daniels off the X with an Acecrusher to the mat below. He was followed by a five person tower of doom. Kazarian and Skipper fought onto the top of the monkey bar like apparatus but fell down as they tried to get the X. Kazarian fought with Homicide on the top corner and Kazarian hit I think the Wave of the Future or Flux Capacitor. But as everyone fought below, Daniels used his arms & legs to bring down the X and with Daniels and Senshi, they reformed the dreaded XXX.



As the Ultimate X structure was taken down, Jeremy Borash spoke to Team 3D who seemed at odds over who was going to pin Kurt Angle to become TNA World Heavyweight champion or Samoa Joe to become X Division champion. Leticia Cline spoke to Samoa Joe about his chances considering his rivalry with Angle. He pretty much said Angle was in trouble. Leticia Cline spoke to VKM about who was their surprise against Christy Hemme.



(2) Voodoo Kin Mafia (Kip & BG James w/ Roxie LaVoe) defeated Basham & Damaja (w/Christy Hemme & Lance Hoyt).

This was a rematch from the previous two PPV’s and the extra addition was Hoyt being on the other side of the ring from VKM and Roxie LaVoe. Ms. LaVoe’s entry was not well received by the Pit people. Like the previous encounters, this was a hard hitting power based bout. VKM controlled it until Hoyt tripped up Kip and it distracted him long enough that Hemme slid into slap Kip but LaVoe joined her. Referee Earl Hebner told LaVoe to get out. But as that went on in the ring, Hoyt took BG to the floor and tossed him into the barricades. Basham/Damaja took over on BG for a while but he tagged out to a frustrated Kip who cleaned house. With the referee busy Hoyt tossed a chair in the ring and Kip picked it up. But Hoyt came in and kicked the chair into his face, tossing Damaja on top but not getting the win. As Hebner put things in order, BG came in and hit Damaja with the chair and the match ended. Afterwards LaVoe got her hands on Hemme and the fans rejoiced.



Jeremy Borash spoke to TNA/IWGP Heavyweight champion Kurt Angle about his role in the main event. Needles to say Angle’s confidence oozed all over the place. A video recap of the Storm-Rhino alcohol induced feud was recapped.



(3) “Tennessee Cowboy” James Storm (w/Jacqueline Moore) defeated “War Machine” Rhino.

Before the opening bell Rudy Charles evicted Ms. Moore from ringside. As Storm argued with Rudy, Rhino jumped him from behind and beat him around the ring and into the fans. Rhino used everything he could grab as a weapon including bottles and the Impact Zone walls. When the action came back to ringside, Storm got in some punches to the ribs. Finally Rudy rang the bell to officially begin the match and the Rhino butt kicking contest continued until Storm tossed Rhino from the top rope to the floor. Storm brought Rhino back to the ring where the trash talking began as the kicks were delivered to the ribs. Storm took Rhino to the mat with a rear chinlock. But rhino fought up to his feet so Storm used the rope momentum to toss Rhino out again. Storm tossed Rhino back in the ring but got two. Storm went back to the rear chinlock and Rhino fought out again. But this time Rhino hit two clotheslines and a corner spear. Storm stopped the momentum again and got two. Storm slid to the floor and got his trusty beer bottle but Charles talked him out of using it. Storm went up top but Rhino caught him and hit a superplex for two. Rhino went for a running forearm but hit Rudy Charles instead of Storm. Storm went for a superkick but Rhino caught him and hit a belly to belly suplex. This usually sets up the GORE but instead it set up Storm shattering the bottle on Rhino’s head. Charles counted the pin and Storm tied up Rhino as Ms. Moore brought down a mini-keg to shoot into Rhino’s face. Some Polaroids were taken for posterity sake as Storm also laid in the chair shots to the helpless Rhino’s head.



Leticia Cline talked to Jerry Lynn & Mr. Bob Backlund about their match with the Motor City Machine Guns.



(4) Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & “the Future” Chris Sabin w/ Kevin Nash) defeated Jerry Lynn & Mr. Bob Backlund.

Sabin and Backlund were going to begin the match when Backlund bailed to the floor for some reason, only to return and lock up with the former X Division champion. Sabin locked in a full Nelson but Backlund fought out of it and reversed it. Sabin went to the ropes for salvation and both men tagged out.

Shelley and Lynn traded armdrags but Lynn got control, even as Shelley tagged Sabin back in. the Guns had some miscommunication but that ended when Shelley hit Lynn with an STO. The Guns took turns beating up Lynn and posing for the cameras while Nash called out things for them to use on Lynn. Shelley took off his belt and tossed it on the mat so the referee wouldn’t see the tag out to Backlund and it worked like a charm. Backlund came in and went bezerk on the Guns. But as Andrew Thomas put Backlund in his corner, Nash came in and kicked Lynn in the face. This set up the Guns and a series of kicks to Lynn’s head.



Jeremy Borash followed Kurt Angle backstage as he was looking for backup. They ran into Jay Lethal who went all “Macho Man” on Angle’s request to watch his back. Angle grew frustrated trying to understand the Machismo Lethal was spurting out and tossed Lethal all over the restroom. We saw a video package reminding people how we got to this mixed tag team match.



(5) “Showtime” Eric Young & Gail Kim defeated Robert Roode & Ms. Brooks.

Roode &Young picked up where they left off at Slammiversary, fast paced action with Kim & Brooks joining. Roode bailed to the floor and young followed with a tope. Brooks went to check on her man when Kim followed with a tope of her own. Young’s in ring momentum was killed by Brooks who tripped him up and dragged him crotch first into the nearest ring post. Roode & Brooks tried to wear down young but they didn’t get the job done as he tagged out to Kim who hit both of them with huricuranas. All four got involved and Kim hit Brooks with a missile dropkick. Roode save her from a pin but dropped an elbow on Brooks. Young sent Roode to the floor and Kim pinned Brooks. After the match Rood threw a fit, tossing the ring steps and blamed Brooks for the loss. As Roode told Brooks to hit the bricks Eric Young snuck in the ring and pulled down Roode’s tights, showing us all how rude Bobby Roode is.



Jeremy Borash spoke to “The Instant Classic” Christian Cage, “Phenomenal” AJ Styles and Tomko about their matches. They were interrupted by Kurt Angle who tried to make a deal with Cage and friends. They declined and left, as “the Guru” Sonjay Dutt came asking for donations to a charity. Angle decided to donate by hitting Dutt in the head with his own tambourine.



“Wildcat” Chris Harris spoke about his five year journey in TNA Wrestling and breaking the glass ceiling tonight against Christian Cage. The package was interrupted by Cage boasting about his own background in TNA.



(6) “The Instant Classic” Christian Cage defeated “Wildcat” Chris Harris.

Cage seemed to overlook the past of Harris, the multi-time World Tag Team champion and his part in high profile matches in his tenure in TNA. Harris went to work on Cage with kicks and a suplex that lasted about 20 seconds before Harris dropped Cage. Cage bailed to the floor so Harris followed out and the two fought until Harris backdropped Cage on the rampway. Back in the ring Cage dragged Harris to a corner and drove his crotch into the post. Cage went to the second rope and hit a European forearm to the jaw for two. Cage locked in an abdominal stretch but Harris refused to submit. Cage released the hold and tossed Harris to the floor. Cage went to use a chair but Rudy Charles took the chair away. Harris tossed Cage into he ring steps but when the action came back to the ring Cage took over. That stopped when Cage slapped Harris and it made him mad. Harris hit a series of moves but Cage tossed him to the floor, only to see Harris go up top and hit a bodyblock for two. Cage went for a pin with his feet on the topes but Harris kicked out. Cage blocked a superplex and hit a sitout facebuster for two. Harris got to his feet and his Catatonic was blocked as was the Unprettier which Harris reversed into an Unprettier of his own. Cage went for a move but hit with a spear for two. Cage floated over and Harris speared the ring post. Cage hit the Unprettier but Harris kicked out. The top buckle got split open and Cage went to toss Harris into it but Cage hit it and was hit by a full nelson slam for two. As Cage went to win the match, DUSTIN RHODES appeared on the rampway. With Cage in shock Harris rolled up Cage for two and Cage got to his feet, signaling for Tomko. Harris went for the Catatonic; Rhodes used Harris’ own handcuffs to the back to allow Cage to win via pinfall.



After a video package, Jeremy Borash spoke to Sting & Abyss about their match.



(7) Sting & Abyss defeated “Phenomenal” AJ Styles and Tomko.

These four men just don’t like each other and it showed throughout the match. Abyss and Styles started out and it was like old times, Styles trying to rock Abyss with punches and those punches having zero effect. Abyss hit a backbreaker but Styles got away and tagged in Tomko who showed last month in Nashville he isn’t afraid of Abyss. They went head to head with punches until Sting tagged in. Styles & Tomko went to double splash Sting but Tomko ended up getting splashed and then both men were hit with Stinger Splashes before Abyss tagged back in. Abyss caught Styles in mid air and went for the Styles Clash but Tomko kicked him in the face. The duo fought on the floor and back to the ring where Tomko kept control of the bout. Styles & Tomko had some good chemistry as they beat down Abyss but it didn’t last long and the monster tagged out to Sting who sent Tomko to the floor where abyss met him. Sting and Styles fought as Abyss went up top but Styles did or harm than good as he dropkicked Abyss into Tomko. Styles and Sting soon followed with planchas of their own. Sting used a chair on Tomko and took Styles back to the ring going for the Scorpion Deathlock but Styles hit a Pele kick for two. Tomko tagged in and hit Sting with a throwaway slam for two. Styles tagged in and locked Sting in a chinlock, but as Sting got to his feet he was hit with a dropkick for two. Styles placed Sting on the top but his huricurana was blocked and Sting hit a move sending both men racing to their corners to tag out. Abyss became a one man wrecking crew and nearly won with a chokeslam but Styles saved Tomko. All four men got in and fought but Abyss hit Styles with Shock Treatment. Tomko came in and hit Abyss with a double arm chokeslam but Sting locked Tomko in the Scorpion Deathlock but Andrew Thomas was busy with Styles. Tomko tapped out but the referee missed it. But he didn’t miss Abyss hitting Tomko with the Black Hole Slam to win. Father James Mitchell came on rampway and told the winners there were debts to be collected and he was the man to do it.



The “Machines” promo package played before the main event. Before Angle hit the ring, he tried to talk Serotonin into aiding him. When they refused he kicked the crap out of them.



(8) TNA/IWGP Heavyweight champion Kurt Angle & World X Division champion Samoa Joe defeated World Tag Team champions Team 3D (Ray and Devon) when Samoa Joe pinned Ray to win the TNA World Tag Team titles.

After the introductions Joe and Devon stared down before locking up. Joe got an armlock but Devon got out with a forearm to the face but Joe fired back with one of his own. Joe dragged Devon to a corner and tagged in Angle but Devon fought off Angle. Ray tagged in and after being armdragged and waistlocked, backed Angle to a corner for some chops. But Angle hit a German Suplex and tagged in Joe who hit several punches to the jaw. Devon tagged back in but Joe hit a series of moves into the senton for two. Angle tagged back in and hit Devon with a snap suplex for two. Joe kept the offense going with a series of shots to Devon’s upper body. Angle and Joe made several tags but couldn’t get the pinfall even as they took shots at Ray. Devon stopped Angle’s offense with a slam but Ray stopped the pinfall from going down. He tagged in and hit Joe with a Rock Bottom but Devon stopped the pinfall from going down. Team 3D had a little argument and Ray left Devon in the ring. But he came back to help Devon double team Joe & Angle while calling for a truce. 3D went back to work dissecting Joe as Angle tried to aid his partner, but did more damage than aid. Somehow Joe survived this onslaught and hit Devon with a top rope knee to the face before tagging out to no one as Ray sent Angle to the floor. Joe avoided a 3D double team move and tagged in Angle who was on fire (Dan Patrick Style) but Devon saved Ray from the Olympic Slam. Devon went up top for the Wassup but Joe dropped him on the buckle and Angle hit a belly to belly for two. All kinds of moves were used on each other but Angle hit Devon with a moonsault for two. Ray called for the tables but Angle & Joe locked 3D in ankle locks. Ray got out and they hit Angle with a 3D but Rick Steiner came out and ended that pin attempt. As 3D looked for revenge on Rick, Scott Steiner attacked Ray with the lead pipe. Confusion ensued but Joe got the win and the tag titles. Guess we will find out on Impact who Samoa Joe will pick for a partner or if he will relinquish the belts.



After the PPV went off the air Team 3D said the reason they lost the titles was because of the fans, who they told could kiss their asses. Jeremy Borash interviewed Tenay & West for TNA Today.

Full 2007 Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup Night 2 Results

On Saturday July 14, 2007, night two of the 2007 Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup was held at the Jewish Community Center, 9841 Scenic Drive in Port Richey, FL. Jeff Peterson’s close friend Naphtali opened the evening introducing the remaining competitors in the event and said some heart felt words about the evening and the man it is named after. Former IPW Hardcore stars the Shane Twins, Jet Jaguar, Mikey Tenderfoot, Aaron Royal, Rod Steel, Eddie Edwards, “Uptown” Frankie Capone, Pete Cannon, “Iceman” Buck Quartermaine and Jeff Bradley were among the attendees. Several ACW stars were also on hand as was 2006 JPC competitor TJ Wilson. Both nights profits went to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Central Florida.

Long version:



(1) Krazy K. defeated Billy Roc.

Krazy and Roc began with chain wrestling that let Roc hit a headlock takeover but Krazy countered out into head scissor. But Roc kipped up to his feet and Krazy locked in a full nelson into a waistlock takedown. Roc countered back into the headlock to an armlock. Krazy escaped into a hiptoss followed by an armdrag but Roc got to the ropes. Krazy sped things up, using some slight of hand to outmaneuver Roc. That stopped when Roc hit a kick to the face in a neutral corner. Roc took Krazy to the mat in a body stretch that looked like an abdominal stretch. Krazy fought to his feet but ran right into a dropkick that got Roc a two count. Roc went back to the submission hold, using a Jushin Liger like stretch to wear down Krazy. But Krazy fought back with a thousand hand chop, only to have Roc hit a thousand upper forearm shots. Roc got hit with a bulldog like move and an enziguri for two. Krazy’s corner clothesline was blocked but his DVD into a boot to the face wasn’t and he got two. Roc fought back with a lariat for two and a half. Roc went for Sliced Bread #2 but Krazy countered and went corner to corner. Roc followed hoping to get in a move but he fell to the backcracker and Krazy advanced to the semi-finals.



(2) Matt Cross defeated “the Marquee” Bruce Santee.

Early on this looked like the mismatch of the decade with the 6’6” Santee taking on the under 6 foot Cross. Santee was so confident in his skills he offered Cross the chance to leave before he got crippled. Santee locked in a side headlock but Cross avoided a shoulder block, hitting a series of moves that ended with a head scissor that sent Santee to the floor. Cross went after him with a slingshot plancha. The match came back to the ring where Santee went to the power game with a suplex that shook the ring but got only two. Cross hit a forearm shot but his rope move was stopped when he ran right into Santee’s elbow. Santee took Cross down with a chinlock but Cross got to his feet, but he got hit with a Samoan Drop for two. The two man traded chest chops but Santee stopped Cross with a good old thumb to the eye. Santee went back to the chinlock but got to his feet, countered out of the Steele Curtain into a DDT. Cross hit a series of chest chops but Santee kicked him right in the face. Somehow Cross kicked out of the pin attempt and got his own boot the face. Cross locked in a cross armbreaker but Santee got to the ropes to break the hold. Cross got too close to Santee who hit a chokeslam but Cross kicked out. Santee dropped Cross on the top corner buckle but his superplex was countered and he hit a shooting star press to get the upset win, moving on to the semi-finals.



(3) In a non-tournament match, Lex Lovett & “Modern Miracle” Steve Madison defeated Chi Chi Cruz & Sedrick Strong.

There apparently was some old hatred between Lovett and Strong, it came out at the opening bell with a stare down and several hard shots. The anger came out full blast and it cost Strong who ended up on the Lovett/Madison side of the ring for several minutes. Strong got his boots up into Madison’s face and went up top but Madison took his knees out. Madison met Strong but his superplex was blocked and Strong sent Madison crashing back to the mat, coming off with a bodyblock. Strong made the tag to the well rested Cruz as Lovett fought on the floor with Strong. Madison hit Cruz with a Stun Gun and a Riki Lariat for Strong who came back to the ring. Madison got the last move in, hitting Cruz with a powerslam for the victory.



(4) Chris Hero defeated Erick Stevens.

This was the second round match many internet people wished for and got thanks to the opening round action. To say this was a wrestling clinic wouldn’t do it justice as both men went hold for hold for nearly fifteen minutes. Both men tried to wear the other’s left arm and shoulder but Stevens took Hero down into an Indian Deathlock but Hero got to the ropes. Hero slid to the ring apron to check on his left ankle before coming back in to face off with Stevens. Stevens got a side headlock but when Hero tossed him to the ropes neither man gave in the shoulder to shoulder collision. Hero bitch slapped Stevens and the two ran around the ring and back into it where Stevens hit a hiptoss and a slam, followed by cross the face forearm shots. Stevens set up Hero for a running lariat to the corner but Hero bailed to the floor. Stevens went to follow but Hero tripped him up and went to work on Stevens’ upper body. Stevens got to his feet but Hero hit a discus clothesline and senton for two. Hero hit a fallaway dropkick to the face but got two and went back to chinlock with his arms across the bridge of Stevens’ nose. Hero let the hold go and went for an Indian Deathlock of his own but couldn’t get the pin or submission as he rolled Stevens onto his back. Hero let the hold go and began to trash talk, so Stevens hit him with chest chops as his reply. Hero fired back with chops and forearms of his own but he got too close to Stevens who hit an Acecrusher. Stevens couldn’t follow up as the chest chops took the wind out of him. Hero took too long getting to his feet and it allowed Stevens to get the wind back, hitting a series of moves. Stevens went for the Sarasota Screwdriver but Hero dropped to his knees and countered into a belly to back suplex. Stevens fired back with a pump handle into a sky high slam for two. Stevens went for another move but once again Hero went dead weight. Hero went to the ropes and Stevens ran into a boot followed by a corkscrew DDT for two by Hero. Hero went up top and Stevens met him, trading forearm shots to the face. Hero sent Stevens to the mat and hit a double stomp to the gut for two and a half. Hero hit two chest chops but Stevens ducked the third, hitting a lariat followed by the Sarasota Screwdriver for two and a half. Hero countered out another Stevens move and got the win via a rolling crucifix. After the match, the fans gave both men a well deserved standing ovation.



(5) Chasyn Rance defeated Adam Flash.

This was an interesting clash in styles as Flash came out of a cage match last night to advance, while Rance went to work with chain wrestling moves to Flash’s upper body. Flash fought back going after Rance’s left arm and shoulder. Rance countered with armdrags of his own including the Japanese variety. Rance countered a backdrop and hit three dropkicks that sent Flash to the floor. Rance followed out and chased Flash back to the ring and avoided an elbow drop but didn’t avoid the Flash spinebuster for two. Flash hit a chokeslam also for two and he questioned the referee on the count. Rance countered a wheel barrel into a rolling pin for two but a superkick evened things up with both men fighting to clear the cobwebs. Rance went up top but flash hit him in the crotch and brought Rance off with a facebuster for two. Flash got Rance up and went up top for a superplex followed by a top rope trip but unlike last night, he missed a legdrop as Rance was not home. Flash went to the ring apron for some distance from Rance, but Rance followed and hit a between the ropes piledriver to win and advance to face Matt Cross.



As Shannon Rose was telling the fans about the silent auctions items, former IPW TV champion Dr. Reginald Heresy came out to interrupt things. He said despite last night’s defeat, he is not a loser, which brought a “You’re a Loser” chant from the fans. He issued an open challenge to anyone in the locker room. The challenge was answered by “Supermodel” Amy Love who has proven herself in the ring with men in the past. After some trash talking from Heresy, he decided to take on the “Super Model.”



(6) In an open challenge match, “Supermodel” Amy Love defeated Dr. Reginald Heresy.

For some reason Heresy kept laughing and dropped to a knee showing hand in friendship. Love declined the hand shale and locked up with the Dr. Heresy gave her a free shot to use and she took it, but Heresy pulled her hair sending her to the mat.

Heresy hit a bodyslam and boasted about his power. Love played possum and it Heresy got suckered into a small package win.



After the match, Heresy decked referee “the Mullet” Richie Rich and cut his beloved mullet off with a pair of scissors. The hair was given to the Locks for Love charity as a donation.



After the intermission, the trio of Wrongful Death (Naphtali, Havok and Dagon Briggs hit the ring. But before they could talk Sideshow AKA OG Scarface hit the ring. He reminded the fans before Wrongful Death, there were the famous IPW Hardcore based teams: the ASS and Freak Foundation. Sideshow asked for a old-school match and the trio decided to agree the request.



(7) In an old-school IPW Hardcore match, Freak Foundation (Dagon Briggs & OG Scarface) defeated Anarchy Suicide Squad (Naphtali & Havok).

Briggs and Havok began with the hard body shots but it was Briggs who helped Scarface hit a double team move for two. Naphtali got in and went for an airplane spin but Scarface blocked and hit a DVD like move. The Freak’s double team skills had zero rust on them and they used them on Naphtali for several minutes. However Naphtali slid out of a rolling Samoan Drop and kicked Briggs in the ribs, tagging in Havok who hit a questionable shot to the ribs. Naphtali went up top and came off, landing in the ring with an elbow. The ASS’s double team skills were also on display as were their cheating skills as Havok went for a pin with his legs on the ropes and using his wrist tape to choke out Briggs. With all his energy Briggs fought back and was finally able to tag out to Scarface. But OG walked right into Naphtali’s dreaded old school airplane spin that went for about 30 revolutions despite Scarface having his fingers in Naphtali’s belly button. Scarface fought back with a backitomy but Havok broke the pin up. Havok was sent to the floor and the Freak’s went to end the match as Naphtali’s double clothesline didn’t have the punch he thought it had. The Freaks ended the match with a double team move and won via pin. But the real winners were the fans and the friend of the foursome, the late Jeff Peterson, who they paid a silent tribute to in the ring.



(8) Chris Hero defeated Krazy K.

Both men locked a test of strength that turned into a mat game of leg takedown vs. armbars. Krazy got to his feet and took Hero off his with an armdrag into an armbar but Hero picked Krazy up with a bodyslam. Hero went to the arm and wrist but Krazy countered back into his armlock. Hero went for a slam but Krazy slid out and after several rope runs hit a K Kick (front kick and enziguri) senfing Hero near Dream Street. Hero caught the cross body block but Krazy sent Hero to the floor with a kick. The duo traded attempted topes to the floor before hitting them on the third attempt. Krazy went to the corner and anticipated a floatover but Hero stopped and hit what could be called an inverted jawbreaker for two. Hero took the breath out of Krazy with chest chop and an old school atomic knee drop with a running boot to the back of the head. Krazy kicked out of the pin and Hero went for a submission move only Hero could pull off. Krazy didn’t give up and fired in right hand punches and a multi spin head scissor but Hero hit a chokeslam for two. Hero went back to the submission holds, tying up Krazy’s arms and legs. Hero sized up Krazy as he went for a 619 but opted for an eye rake and a front facelock. Krazy fought out with several punches to the ribs and kicks to the body. But Hero stopped that with a sidewalk slam that took the air out of both men. Krazy got on the attack with a spinning kick and a bodypress and hit the PCP but Hero kicked out. Hero hit a spinning neckbreaker and a spinning suplex for two and a half. Both men went to end the match but neither got the win despite their power. Hero got the last move in and won via a body triangle choke move that silenced Krazy despite an excellent effort.



(9) Matt Cross defeated Chasyn Rance.

Rance took control despite Cross having the advantage of wrestling earlier in the show. Both men went for the high speed offense but Rance stopped that with a forearm to the jaw and kicks to the gut and face for two. Rance locked in a rear chinlock but floated over into a modified Dragon Sleeper. Cross countered out into a Northern Lights suplex for two. Rance went for a spinning headscissor but Cross dropped him into a facebuster for two. Cross hit a corner move into a senton for two but Rance kicked out and hooked Cross in a pin for two. The forearms to the jaw were thrown and it took a toll on both men despite Cross hitting a dropkick for two. Rance recovered hitting a dropkick that sent Cross to the floor where Race followed with a between the ropes tope. Rance tossed Cross in the ring but his superkick was blocked and Cross hit a Cradle Shock for two. Cross blocked a kick but couldn’t stop a second martial arts shot from Rance who got two. Rance went for his between the ropes piledriver but Cross blocked it and hit a double boot to the chest. Cross locked in a cross armbreaker but Rance got to the ropes. Rance again went for the between the ropes piledriver and again Cross blocked it and won via a top rope frog splash.



(10) In a three way non-tournament match, TJ Mack defeated Nooie Lee and “Kool” Seth Delay.

These three men put on excellent efforts last night and they took it to each other at the bell with high flying action. Delay got upset and took his armband sleeve off and tried to choke out Mack as Lee recovered on the floor. The duo kept Lee on the floor as they beat each other up. Mack nearly knocked out Delay’s teeth with a facewash kick but opted for several suplexes for a two count. Lee finally got in hitting Delay with a shoulder spear and a sunset flip for two. Lee and Delay went to the floor and Mack followed out with a somersault tope. The action came back to the ring where Delay hit Mack with a flying forearm for two. Both men took their eyes of Lee who hit them with a cross body block and several bodyshots. Lee hit Mack with an STO but his Dragon Bomb was turned into a Delay German suplex for two. Mack went up top but Delay followed and the trio came off in a neckbreaker like move. Lee went for a forearm but Delay pulled down the ropes sending Lee to the floor. Delay went for another pin Mack rolled through and got ht hard fought pin.



(11) In a three team non-tournament elimination match, Sal Rinauro & Trik Davis (w/ an Eric Biscoff action figure as manager) defeated Shan Hill/Scott Commodity and Inner Aggression (Butch Long/Bull Pain).
This was a comedy of errors with Rinauro/Davis an island among themselves. The eliminations occurred in the following order: Hill was pinned as was Long. With both teams pinning the other Rinauro/Davis won. Not liking this outcome, both teams chased Rinauro and Davis to the locker room.



(12) Chris Hero defeated Matt Cross.

Like his earlier matches, Hero tried to keep the match mat based. Cross adapted and went move for move with Hero, trading wristlocks and front facelocks. Hero tried to handstand out of a front facelock but Cross forced Hero back to the mat. Hero countered out into an overhand wristlock taking Cross to the mat but Cross countered out into a hammerlock. Hero got out of the hold with a kip up to his feet and we began at square one. Hero took Cross down with a side headlock but Cross slid Hero over into a pin attempt only to have Hero roll back into the control position. Cross countered into a head scissor but Hero went for a counter. Cross fought off Hero’s counter into a pin for two and Hero rolled to a neutral corner. Cross backed Hero to a corner but Hero reversed and hit a chest chop followed by a series of forearms but Cross hit several Japanese armdrags into an armbar. Hero went to the ropes and Cross gave a clean break but Hero kicked him in the ribs. This only pissed off Cross who got Hero to the mat and hit a flip into a splash for two. Hero fought out of an armbar and sent Cross to the floor. Hero flipped to the floor but Cross moved and went back to the ring to follow out but ran right into Hero’s boot. Hero hit a double axhandle shot to Cross’ head and hit another chest chop. Hero began to use his size advantage in pin attempts, forcing Cross to kick out all Hero’s body weight on a senton. Hero hit two elbow drops but Cross kicked out of the pin. Hero and Cross began a chest chipping contest and neither man gave an inch until Cross hit some forearms and went to the ropes but got hit by a flying forearm and a Hero handstand elbow drop. Hero took Cross to the mat in a body stretch but Cross refused to submit. Hero let the hold go and propped Cross in a corner, hitting a boot to the face. Cross fought back despite the hard shots to the head from Hero. Cross avoided a splash and drove both his feet into Hero’s face followed by a move that sent Hero to the floor. Cross followed out with a corkscrew splash and the fighting kept going on the floor with chops and punches. Cross sent Hero back in the ring and hit another corkscrew splash for two. Cross went for a double stomp but Hero moved and hit a running boot. Hero locked in the STF but Cross used nearly all his energy to crawl to the ropes and cause a break. Both men went for Oklahoma roll pins but kicked out. Both men got to their feet continuing the chest chops and forearms hoping the other would fall but neither would fall. Cross thought he had the match won with a DVD into his knee followed by a Hindu Press but got two. Cross went up top and Hero went up to fight him back down even as both men head butted each other. Hero fell to the mat and Cross went for a shooting star press but Hero caught him in mid air, hitting an Acecrusher. Hero dropped into a neck vise submission but Cross used all his weight to get Hero’s shoulder down for two. The problem was Hero had Cross worn down and locked the neckvise again, this time with a body scissor. With his body in knots, Cross had no choice but to submit.



After the match, Hero spoke about meeting Jeff Peterson in 1999 and the love Peterson had for the wrestling business. He thanked the other 15 competitors for being part of the event and keeping the memory Jeff Peterson alive.

Night one of the 2007 Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup was held on Friday July 13, 2007. The event was held at the Downtown Orlando Recreation Center, 649 W. Livingston Street in Orlando, FL. The evening was opened as usual for JPC by Jeff’s best friend Naphtali who gave a heart felt tribute to his friend before introducing the 16 competitors. Due to injuries Allison Danger, “Unreal” Michael Elgin & Kenny King had to withdraw from the event. King was on hand to assist Naphtali in the introduction of the tournament members.

Long version of the show.

(1) Matt Cross defeated Sal Rinauro in 10:22.
Before the match Rinauro seemed more focused on the ringside fans than Cross. So much so he argued and even flirted with some ladies before finally locking up with Cross. When they finally did, Rinauro complained of hair pulls, tight pulls and anything else he could think of to mess with Cross’s head. Cross used a power game to control Rinauro until Rinauro avoided a corner move and tossed Cross into a neutral corner. Rinauro went right to work on Cross’ neck with a neckbreaker and several shots to the head. Despite all those shots Cross kicked out of every pin attempt Rinauro made. Cross finally had enough and hit a suplex into a neckdrop on his knee for two. Rinauro fought back and the two men traded several two counts. Rinauro dropped Cross on the top rope for a move but Cross fought back, hitting a double stomp the back. Rinauro went to the floor for refuge but Cross followed out with a tope spear. He tossed Rinauro to the ring and hit a five star frog splash to advance.

(2) Billy Roc defeated “Kool” Seth Delay in 6:53.
Delay and Roc traded headlocks and armbars but neither man established control until Delay took Roc down to the mat with a half chicken wing arm bar looking thing. Delay hit a standing suplex that seemed to last for 5 minutes before dropping Roc for two. Delay kept on the left arm and neck with a knee drop and a submission armbar. Delay missed a corner forearm shot and that was all Roc needed to get going with a slingshot legdrop for two. Delay fought back and went for a pin but Roc countered into a counter into a counter pin for two. The two men fought for position but it was Roc who hit a double stomp to the back of Delay’s neck and followed with Sliced Bread #2 to advance.

(3) In a non tournament match; Kahagas, the Sheik and Leon Scott (w/Larry Zbyszko & MSL) defeated Pretty Fly, Ray Beez and “Irish Destroyer” Heater in 8:48.
MSL took the house mic and said he was opting out of this match so he could focus totally on Rage in the Cage. This one began as a brawl with Scott, Kahagas & Sheik retreating to the floor for a regrouping seminar with their advisors. Kahagas entered the ring and took over on Heater with chest chops and dragged him to the Sheik’s side of the ring, who tagged in and went to work on Heaters’ neck. Scott tagged in and continued the assault. Each man kept Heater from tagging out until he got some distance from his opponents and tagged in Fly. The problem was Fly went right into the wrong corner and got tossed to the floor where everyone got in a shot to Fly’s body. Fly fought back as best he could kicking out of pin attempts and hitting Scott with a lariat. That move allowed him to tag out to Beez who was well rested. He hit Kahagas with a second rope DDT like move but the move knocked both of them for a loop. Both men tagged out to Heater & Scott respectively but all hell broke loose in and around the ring. The match ended in the ring with Scott hitting Heater with a running powerslam to win via pinfall.

(4) Erick Stevens defeated Nooie Lee in 12:48.
Early on Stevens tried to use his size advantage to control Lee with shoulder blocks. Lee told Stevens to hit the ropes for a shoulder tackle but Lee hit a dropkick that sent Stevens to the floor. Lee followed out and Stevens missed a clothesline, wrapping his left arm around the ringpost. Lee brought Stevens to the ring and drew a bullseye on the injury. The bad part was Lee let Stevens get to his feet and after a rope move; Stevens hit a half nelson power bomb that folded Lee like an accordion. Stevens laid in the chest chops that echoed throughout the venue. But all that did was anger Lee who fired back with chops. Lee went for a corner whip but Stevens blocked it and hit a shoulder block for two. Stevens kept working on the neck but Lee fired back with bodyshots. Stevens hit a front suplex like move for two and followed with an elbow for two. Stevens got cocky and kicked Lee in the head, followed by a waistlock style bearhug. Lee fought to his feet and backed Stevens to a corner where Stevens went to the second rope. But Lee caught him with an Acecrusher. Lee was unable to cover Stevens, so he went on the attack with shots to Stevens’ head. All those blows did was fire Stevens up. Stevens missed a corner lariat and it allowed Lee to hit a top rope bodyblock for two. Lee hit an STO for two but his monkey flip from the corner was blocked. Stevens went up for a superplex but Lee countered into a power bomb followed by a frog splash for two. Lee’s Dragon Bomb was blocked and Stevens’ lariat was blocked by Lee who hit a Dragon Bomb but Stevens kicked out. Lee went for crucifix for two and traded pins with Stevens who hit a release German suplex followed with a lariat into the Sarasota Screwdriver but Lee kicked out. Stevens hit a second lariat but Lee kicked out. Stevens finally finished off Lee with a third lariat and a power bomb to advance. After the match the two combatants shook hands.

(5) Chasyn Rance defeated Chi Chi Cruz in 5:46.
Rance went to work on Cruz’s arm and neck, taking him down into a side headlock. Cruz fought to his feet and backed Rance to a corner but Rance hit the ropes to avoid contact. Rance countered out of a hiptoss and hit a sunset flip for two. Rance and Cruz traded rear chinlocks but it was Rance who went for the submission. Cruz got to his feet as Rance backed him to a corner, but when Rance went for a tackle he hit the post. Cruz went to work with a variety of moves to wear down the arm, including a backbreaker hitting the injured arm on the knee. Rance fought back and hit what looked like Sliced Bread #2. But in hitting the move Rance did damage to the arm. He went for the end by hitting a superkick for two. Rance went for a slam but Cruz slid off and hit the injured left arm with a cross armbreaker/STO for two. Cruz ended up on the ring apron and both men jockeyed for control for a suplex but Rance let go and hit what looked like a between the ropes piledriver to advance.

(6) In a non tournament match, Double Deuce Inc (“Uptown” Frankie Capone & Pete Cannon) defeated Wrongful Death (Naphtali & Dagon Briggs) in 7:30.
This rivalry goes back several years to the world famous IPW-Hardcore. Wrongful Death took over on Capone with some double team moves until Capone was able to isolate Briggs after hitting a shoulder tackle. Briggs tagged out to Cannon who went to work on Briggs with chops and a clothesline. Briggs fired back with chops but Cannon raked Briggs’ eyes to stop the momentum. DD Inc. kept Briggs in their side of the ring for several minutes but couldn’t get the pin or submission. Briggs finally got away from DD Inc. after hitting Capone with a Samoan forward roll and he tagged out to Naphtali who was hit by the dreaded K5.

(7) Chris Hero defeated Trik Davis in 12:19.
Like any Chris Hero match, it was a technical masterpiece. Hero began by trying to work the left arm but Davis countered into an armlock of his own. Davis took Hero down into a doublearm stretch but Hero countered into a pin for two. Both men went to the head but Hero had the height advantage and stood up when Davis applied his headlock. Hero countered out and hit a dropkick for two. Davis countered out of a move and got a waistlock pin for two and followed with chops that saw Hero fire back. Hero countered out a move and hit Davis with an elbow but Davis hit a headscissor. Hero went to the floor where Davis teased a plancha but Hero kicked him in the face. Hero went for another arm submission but let it go for another chest chop into a half crab submission. Davis refused to submit so Hero floated over into a pin for two. Hero went for another chinlock submission but Davis fought out to his feet and ran right into a tornado punch to the jaw that sent Davis to the floor. Hero followed Davis out and delivered several chest chops. Hero dropped Davis on the floor and went into the bleachers for a running start to a Warrior’s Way but Davis moved. Davis couldn’t follow up after Hero hit several European forearms and was carried into the ring where Hero got two. Hero’s power move was blocked by Davis so Hero dropped Davis with a chokeslam. Both men fought for position but Hero locked in an STF and advanced to the next round.

(8) In a fatal four way, The Bug defeated Jerrelle Clark, Dr. Reginald Heresy and Jack Manley in 7:20.
Bug and Heresy made a temporary alliance attacking Clark and Manley but it backfired and they retreated to the floor as Clark and Manley wrestled. When the coast seemed clear, the duo returned and dumped Clark to the floor so they could hit Manley with a double team suplex. They didn’t count on Clark being on the apron and he hit them with a bodyblock for two. There was some miscommunication between Bug & Heresy and a move intended for Clark became Heresy hitting Bug with a back suplex. Bug fought back and dumped Heresy on his head. But Clark followed with a top rope move of his own for two. Things began to get crazy in and out of the ring with each man going to work to win not aid the other competitors. The end came when Bug countered out a Manley move and hit an Emeral Frosion like move.

(9) “Krazy K” Kirby Mack defeated Scott Commodity in 10:10.
Commodity was the substitute for Danger and he didn’t disappoint. Krazy went on the attack but he messed up Commodity’s hair and only pissed off Commodity. That rage was turned against him as Krazy hit him with a shot to the head that made Commodity bail to the floor to clear the cobwebs. Commodity tried to enter the ring but got dropkicked twice. The third time he was ready and dragged Krazy to the floor and hit several chops to the chest plus drove Krazy’s face into the ring apron. Krazy fought back tossing Commodity back first to the ring apron and hit a 619 like move. Back in the ring Krazy went for a hand stand in the corner but Commodity dropkicked the defenseless Krazy in the chest. Commodity went to work on the left arm with a armwringer and dragged Krazy to the apron to drop it on the metal apron. Commodity then dragged the arm to the ring post and wrapped it around. Once back in the ring, Commodity went to work on the arm but Krazy kicked him in the left knee several times. Commodity slammed Krazy on the arm and dropped a knee to the face for two. Commodity locked in a top wristlock submission but Krazy reused to tap. So Commodity released it and went for another arm lock but Krazy fought to his feet and hit a jawbreaker, an enziguri and a double sledge to the neck. Krazy hit a Matrix like kick to the face but got two. Commodity recovered and went up top but Krazy met him and they fought for control. Commodity sent Krazy into the ring and hit a splash for two. Commodity went for a corner move but Krazy slid over the top and hit a backcracker to advance.

(10) “The Marquee” Bruce Santee defeated TJ Mack in 5:42.
Santee was the substitute for King, basically inviting himself into the tournament. Mack showed zero intimidation, going right after Santee with an aerial attack. But that stopped when a head scissor became a Santee Alabama slam. Santee hit an elbow drop for two and the trash talking began from Santee. Mack slid out of a sideslam but couldn’t avoid the second attempt by Santee which got two. Santee hit Mack with several forearms to the back but ran Santee into a boot and hit Santee with a victory roll for two. Santee grounded Mack with a rear chinlock which Mack escaped from and delivered shots to Santee’s head. Mack went up top but Santee caught him and went for the Big Dump. Mack countered out into a crucifix for two but Santee so strong he kicked out, picking up Mack and hitting the Big Dump to advance.

(11) In a non tournament match, former IPW World Tag Team champions Roderick & Sedrick Strong defeated former three time NWA World Tag Team champions the New Heavenly Bodies (“Classy” Chris Nelson & “Vivacious” Vito DeNucci) in 10:05.

This was definitely a contrast in styles, old-school vs. new-school. Roderick and Nelson began and he forced both Bodies to the floor to formulate a new plan as their attack backfired in their face. The Bodies were on the floor for a while, so the Strong’s followed out and jumped them from behind. DeNucci and Roderick came back to the ring where the chest chopping began on the Strong side. Sedrick tagged in as Nelson rejoined the party. The bad part was the position the Bodies were put into by the Strong’s, lets just say it was not normal looking. Sedrick went to work on DeNucci’s left arm and shoulder, taking the veteran to the mat. DeNucci worked his way out of the move and got in a cheap shot to turn the tide. The Bodies used their veteran experience and worked the referee into positions so they could double team Sedrick while irritating Roderick. Sedrick was finally able to tag out to Roderick who was ready to fight both Bodies as Sedrick recovered. The Bodies went for a double team move but Sedrick hit DeNucci with spear. The Strong’s pinned Nelson after a series of kicks to the head, ended by Roderick’s boot to the face.

Before the next match Sideshow hit the ring. He talked about his friendship with Jeff Peterson and demanded his match with CZW veteran Adam Flash be held inside the Rage in the Cage atmosphere.

(12) Adam Flash defeated Sideshow in 4:03.
This was a first for the JPC, a tournament bout inside a steel cage. Flash wasted not time in trying to cut open sideshow with the mesh fencing, but Sideshow fought back with a leg lariat. Sideshow kicked Flash in the back and tossed him into the mesh, but he didn’t draw blood. Sideshow went to the ropes but Flash backdropped him into the fencing. Flash rigged a folding chair into a corner and drove Sideshow’s face into it. Flash got in the blow, hitting a top of the cage legdrop to advance to the second round.

(13) Mister Saint Laurent won Rage in the Cage XI (come as you are, bring your own weapons!) Entrants included: Jay Sorrow, Snow, The Sheik, Kahagas, Ray Beez, Dagon Briggs, Shooter Storm, Naphtali, Pete Cannon, “Leon Scott, Butch Long, Bull Pain, Irish Destroyer” Heater, Dany Only, Pretty Fly, Leon Scott, Havoc, Bug, Dr. Heresy and Mister Saint Laurent. As the carnage ensued inside the ring, MSL and Larry Zbyszko enjoyed the view from the floor. It took several referees to coax MSL in the match. The final five were Kahagas, MSL, Leon Scott, the Sheik and Dagon Briggs. MSL talked his six man partners into eliminating everyone else. Once that was done, MSL told the trio to exit the cage and eliminate themselves so he could win. The Sheik walked out on his own as did Kahagas. Leon Scott contemplated the cash bribe offered by MSL but he changed his mind and went after MSL. Scott had MSL out the door when Zbyszko tossed powder into Scott’s eyes, blinding him long enough for MSL to toss Scott to the floor.

Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup: In The Words of Friends & Tourney Competitors

In November, 2002 IPW Hardcore wrestler Jeff Peterson lost his battle with cancer. May 16-17, 2003 saw the beginning of the Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup, a sixteen competitor cruiserweight in honor of the fallen star. Each year since the event has grown to international levels. Previous winners “Reckless Youth” Tom Carter, Justice, Chris Sabin and Milano Collection AT were part of the events. The event brackets for the 2007 event are named for these men. If you have never seen it in person or purchased a DVD of the event, here in their own words are some of the competitors and officials involved in keeping the legacy of Jeff Peterson alive.



Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup founder Ron Niemi: The Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup was and is meant to honor our buddy Jeff Peterson who we lost to cancer a few years back. Jeff would be thrilled to know that such a great event was held in his name each year and that it has continued to thrive and grow as time goes on. For some reason some folks involved in wrestling seem to want to make people believe Jeff wasn’t a part of the Florida indie scene but the truth is he wrestled FAR more in Florida than he did anywhere else and he was like a little brother to all of us. Jeff is missed in a major way.



2003 and 2005 competitor Jerrelle Clark: My first memory of Jeff was from SCW. We did a match and some guy came in to beat us down. It was Jeff. Then we worked in Zephyrhills and got to have a conversation about his remission from cancer. He passed away two months later. He was of full of live and loved wrestling. To be part of the initial event was humbling. I had a great match with Tony Mamaluke and the next night I was in a tag team match. In 2004 I was part of a six man tag team match. 2005 I wrestled Petey Williams and fell to the Canadian Destroyer.



2003 Tourney Winner and 2006 Participant “Reckless Youth” Tom Carter: JPC was something I wanted to be a part of because of my fond memories of Jeff. I met Jeff after I was in the business for a short time and working for Blaine Desantis in PCW in Pennsylvania. Blaine had a working agreement with Jim Kettner and Jeff was a member of his crew. During these times I worked with Jeff training and could see he had a hunger for the business. After working him and few times later I got even more respect for him through his quality of work as well as quality matches with others such as Mike Quackenbush and Chris Daniels. I felt JPC was the least I could do for a great kid that touched so many people in a positive way. Since then, JPC has done a good job of show casing indy talent as well as honoring the memory of a great kid that deserved so much more time with all of us. We are all better people for just knowing his courage.



2006 Competitor “The Anarchist” Arik Cannon: While I never met, nor did I know Jeff Peterson personally, I did however become a fan of his prior to getting into the business. One match in particular stands out in my mind, against Mike Quackenbush for ECWA I believe. Those two did some amazing stuff. It was an honor and a privilege to be chosen to participate in the 2006 JPC. I had a great time not only being a part of the show, but also knowing it was all for a good cause. I look forward to returning to the JPC in the future.



2006 Competitor TJ Wilson: I actually never knew Jeff Peterson, but I am very familiar with the tournament-even before I participated. I believe I am the only guy to lose in the first round and then earn my way back into the tournament. I had a great experience wrestling guys like Krazy K, Milano Collection AT, El Generico, etc. I am glad I was able to compete in the Peterson Cup and seeing the love and passion that the guys go out there and try to honor his name is amazing in itself. Everyone treated me really well there and I was very happy to do it.



2006 Competitor Human Tornado: "I was honored to be apart of such an awesome event for, what I was told, a very awesome person.”



2003 Competitor David Babylon: My memories of Jeff Peterson and the Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup stem directly from Naphtali. I never actually met Jeff but I was with Naphtali (we had a match) the night he found out Jeff passed away. He immediately started telling stories about Jeff and how much life he had in him, even as he battled cancer. He wanted to be in the ring. The first night of the tournament was an emotional one and I won't ever forget it. I'm glad to hear this tournament is still being held annually. It is done for the right reasons and without knowing Jeff and I can only imagine that he looks down with a smile knowing what is now a local wrestling tradition is dedicated to him and bears his name.



2003 Competitor “Modern Revolution” Steve Madison: I was a last minute replacement when the Bug was unable to appear. I worked B-Boy and it was a good match from what I remember of it. The next night I was partnered with Sonjay Dutt and took on Roderick Strong and Jerrelle Clark. The whole weekend turned out well. It’s amazing to see who was in the original tournament and that tag match, to see the career progress each of us has achieved. I got to meet Jeff a few times outside of the business and he lives on vicariously through several people in wrestling today.



2004 Competitor “Notorious 187” Homicide: You said it best in your intro thing. It’s an historic event. The Peterson Cup is precious to everyone who has ever been in the ring or knew of Jeff. The weekend was good and bad. The good was beating Black Tigers but I got injured and couldn’t compete the next day against Chris Hero. I hope the JPC committee will consider me for their next event.



2003 and 2004 Competitor Roderick Strong addressing his 2003 match with Ruckus: I thought it was really good. Many people said it was the best of the 1st night matches. I usually can’t judge my own matches but it felt good to me. The crowd seemed to think it was good. Ruckus is a hell of an athlete. I can’t describe how great an athlete that he is. It was good experience to be in there with him.



2004 and 2005 Competitor Petey Williams: My good friend Alex Shelley got me hooked up. I was working with CZW and TNA. Ron Niemi saw some tapes and selected me for the event. Ron said he got everyone he asked for without having to make any substitutions. I didn’t know Jeff I think Bobby Roode did. Everyone in NWA Florida had good stories about Jeff. I was happy to help raise money to fight cancer. In two years hat event is now known world wide.



2003 and 2005 Competitor Sonjay Dutt addressing his 2003 appearance: I love being in Florida. I was afraid that the fans wouldn’t take to me but I got a good reaction. The IPW/NWA FL fans are so well educated and a pleasure to speak with. I never got the chance to meet Jeff but being at that event and speaking to people that knew him made it an honor to be apart of that weekend. I felt my match with Reckless Youth was great. He is the man. He has done everything and I got to learn while being in the ring with him. The second night I had a great tag match with Roderick Strong, Steve Madison and Jerrelle Clark.

ACW 7/10 Results From New Port Richey, FL

On Tuesday July 10th American Combat Wrestling returned to Bourbon Street Night Club, 4331 US19N in New Port Richey, FL.



ACW Heavyweight champion “Rough House” Ralph Mosca and Sideshow made their way to the ring. Mosca said next week the promotion was going to bring back the ACW combat championship in an 8 man tournament of pure unadulterated violence. Names announced were Eddie Taurus, Dany Only, Austin Amadeus and Sideshow when Eric Cooper came out to talk to Mosca and the fans. Cooper said being a former Combat champion; he didn’t see why he had to wrestle Ray Beez for his spot in the tournament. That brought out Beez to protest Cooper’s objection.



(1) Austin Amadeus of the New Movement (w/George Martel) defeated the returning Dany Only.

Before the match Martel took the mic and reminded them the New Movement ran things in ACW and would begin the beatings with Dany Only. Amadeus tried to intimidate Only with a slap to the face but that just made Only fired up. Amadeus went to the floor to escape but Only followed out. The action came back to the ring where Amadeus went right to work on the recently healed left ankle and foot. With some help from Martel on the floor, Amadeus tried to do his own surgical work on Only’s leg. Amadeus went for the submission with a modified Cloverleaf but Only refused to quit. Amadeus went for a corner move but Only dropped down and tripped Amadeus sending his face into the turnbuckles. That didn’t slow down Amadeus who kept the attack going until Only blocked a suplex but Amadeus tossed him into a corner, sending Only’s leg into the post. Despite all this abuse, Only refused to quit and somehow hit Amadeus with a Rock Bottom. Martel argued with the referee but this cost Amadeus as Only spit red mist into Amadeus’ eyes and hit the Sky high Slam for two. Only dropped his good leg on Amadeus’ throat but that also got two. Only went to the ropes but Martel tripped him up and it set up Amadeus’s return to the leg submission hold which caused Only to tap out. Only was helped to the locker room by his former partner Sideshow.



(2) In a triple threat match, ACW Cruiserweight champion Jaison Moore defeated Nick “I’m Not Gay” Fame and Naphtali.

Fame went to lock up with Moore when Naphtali tripped him from the floor but Moore took them both out with a dropkick. Moore laid the boots to Fame’s ribs as Naphtali thought out a new strategy. A chest chopping contest switched to a European forearm toss until Naphtali locked Moore in abdominal stretch. But Fame talked Naphtali out of the move so he could attack Moore with a dropkick. Things got a little weird as a wheel barrel move by Naphtali led Fame’s face accidentally to Moore’s crotch. Moore didn’t care for that so he kicked Fame right in the back. Naphtali went to follow suit but dropped into a rear chinlock. Fame got out of the hold and hit Moore with an Otani kick to the corner. Naphtali and Fame seemed to make a semiotic bond of sorts as they attacked Moore but Fame jumped into Naphtali’s arms for a manly embrace that Naphtali wasn’t too happy with. So Naphtali picked Fame up for a multi and I do mean multi time airplane spin. Naphtali let the hold go and went up top but came crashing down on his own. With Naphtali out of it completely, Moore hit Fame with a full nelson sideslam into a rear naked choke submission victory.



(3) Shan Hill defeated “the South Florida Phenom” Scott Commodity.

Before the match Commodity tried to insult the fans but they drowned him out with a blah, blah and blah chant.” Hill decided to do his talking with straight up violence on Commodity’s chest with chops. Commodity avoided one but not a backdrop that sent him to the floor to formulate a new game plan. Commodity came back and tried to chain wrestle with Hill but he kept ending up with his left arm in some kind of submission hold. Commodity went for a test of strength but Hill slap the taste out of his mouth and went back to the left arm and shoulder. Commodity got free of the hold and tried to make nice with Hill offering a handshake. Hill refused and went back on the attack with suplexes and chops. That was until Hill sent Commodity to the ropes and Commodity stopped, making Hill pursue and be hit with a Hot Shot. Commodity kept Hill off balance with an upper body attack. Twice Commodity locked Hill in a rear chinlock with his knee buried in Hill’s spine. The problem is Hill kept fighting back no matter what Commodity threw at him. Hill escaped the hold but collided mid ring with Commodity and it was a race to clear the proverbial cobwebs. Hill won that race with three clotheslines and a spinebuster for two. Commodity fought back but his RKO was blocked twice and Hill won with what was an excellently executed Dragon Suplex.



(4) In a hardcore match, Ray Beez defeated Eric Cooper.

Cooper took the house mic and said there would be no wrestling, just a straight out fight. Which took the match to the floor where Beez hit a Russian Legsweep into the ringpost and ring apron. Beez hiptossed Cooper into several rows of chairs and then out the side door used for bands to load their gear in. Beez dragged Cooper back to the ring where he his several suplexes in and out of the ring. Cooper fought back with a suplex that landed Beez upside down on the ring apron. Beez fought out of a rear chinlock and Cooper was hit with a duo of knees to the ribs and a running clothesline for two. Cooper fought back with an STO that took the wind out of Beez. Apparently not because Beez got to his feet and hit a clothesline to the floor. The duo fought to the entry way where Cooper hit a Spinebuster onto the band stage for two. Cooper went to dump Beez but he got backdropped on the stage and back to the ring. Beez came off top but Cooper was waiting with a spear for two. Cooper went up to the second and missed a legdrop which let Beez hit a discus clothesline to win and advance to the Combat title tournament.



(5) David Mercury of the New Movement (w/George Martel) defeated Awesome Andy.

Andy tried to match amateur moves with the former Florida HS champion, so Andy sped things up and hit a head scissor and a huricurana which sent Mercury to the floor. Andy didn’t give Mercury breathing room and hit a somersault tope to the floor. The action came back to the ring where Mercury begged for mercy. Andy bought it and got hit with a clothesline for two. Mercury tossed the rulebook out even as he hit textbook suplexes. Andy fought back but Mercury hit a leg lariat for two. Andy fought back and countered out of a hold to hit a reverse huricurana and a Jushin Liger style submission but Mercury fought out of the hold. Andy fought out of a chinlock and hit a handstand into a Pele’ kick. Mercury dumped Andy to the ring apron thinking he had control but Andy hit a spring board dropkick for two. Martel got involved and it allowed Mercury to get the pinfall victory.



(6) ACW Heavyweight champion “Rough House” Ralph Mosca fought Eddie Taurus of the New Movement (w/George Martel and Austin Amadeus) to a no contest.

This was truly a 3 on 1 with Mosca fighting for his life and his championship. The fight lasted about three minutes when Amadeus climbed in and attacked Mosca. Billy Dalton called for the bell ending the match. The New Movement beatdown went on until Sideshow hit the ring and Mosca said he wanted the fight to continue as a tag team match.



(7) ACW Heavyweight champion “Rough House” Ralph Mosca & 2007 Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup competitor Sideshow defeated New Movement members Austin Amadeus & Eddie Taurus.

To the shock of many the pairing Sideshow and Mosca was a good team, working over the New Movement for several minutes. That ended when the New Movement isolated Sideshow and went to work on the shoulder and back. With help from Martel’s distraction, Taurus & Amadeus used every dirty trick in the book and then some to work over Sideshow. But that ended when Sideshow countered out of a DVD into a backcracker. But Sideshow was so worn down he couldn’t tag out to Mosca. Sideshow thought he had a tag coming when he kicked Taurus in the jaw but his corner move became a Taurus powerslam, however Taurus’ headbutt missed and Sideshow hit Double Penetration. With Taurus out of his mind briefly, Sideshow crawled and tagged in Mosca who was good and ready to fight. Taurus ended up on the floor as Sideshow/Mosca hit Amadeus with a double team move to win. After the match Taurus said none of it mattered as he still held the number one contender slot to the ACW Heavyweight title. Mosca said to bring it on and no matter what, he had Sideshow’s back.
