NOTES ABOUT UPCOMING SHIMMER DVD RELEASES
----------------------------------------------------------

It's a busy time for SHIMMER as far as our DVD production goes. We are one week away from the release of Volume 9 at www.rohwrestling.com. The Volume 9 DVD features Amazing Kong vs. MsChif, as well as Cheerleader Melissa vs. Sara Del Rey, and will be included in next week's ROH merchandise update.

Volume 10 is currently in production, and should be released just a few weeks after Volume 9 hits. In two weeks, we head to Florida to begin working on Volume 11, which will be a two disc release featuring 20 matches in all, including the entire SHIMMER Title Tournament plus non-tournament bouts as well!

On the retail side of things, Volume 4 hits retail on August 7th. It is already available for pre-order online via Amazon.com and various other assorted retailers. Some of you have noticed that the more recent SHIMMER titles in retail have not been shelved at the actual Best Buy store locations. The situation with Best Buy is that they're scaling back in general on the number of DVD titles that they are shelving (you'll notice that a significantly fewer number of pro wrestling DVDs are being shelved at their stores lately), and unfortunately we're included in their cutbacks.

Best Buy is still carrying all of our retail releases on their web site to order online, so they're still working with us in that respect. There's a chance we could wind up on Best Buy shelves again, but I'm not counting on it. I'm just glad that we got the level of national distribution we did for Volume 1 on Best Buy shelves while we could.

All of the other various retailers that have carried (and shelved) the earlier SHIMMER releases will also be carrying Volume 4. If you've seen the earlier titles on shelves at local retailers, future DVD titles from us will be able to be found there as well.

We're currently preparing the Volume 5 footage for its retail release in the fall. As most of you know, we slightly revise the edit of each title for retail, mainly to eliminate the entrance music that is present on the initial run of each release. I know many of you have disliked the royalty free music that has been placed over the entrances on our early retail releases. As a result, we've made the decision, beginning with Volume 5, to simply start each match with ring announcer Joey Eastman introducing the participants, eliminating entrances entirely. That's one of the benefits of using the "boxing style" introductions in SHIMMER, where the ring announcer doesn't announce who the wrestlers are until both of them have completed their entrance and the music has ceased playing.

We are also adding a new photo gallery feature to the retail versions of our DVDs as well. It's something extra that we can easily add, since we have so many excellent photos to work with after each and every taping.

Again, for those of you who prefer to have copies of the initial run of each release for your collection (with the original entrances intact), we strongly encourage you to pick up each new release as it becomes available through Ring of Honor. Once we sell out of the initial run of each title, we won't be re-issuing it again in that original form. For example, ROH is now selling the retail versions of Vols. 1 through 3 because we've run through the stock of the initial run of those three releases. There's a limited number of copies of the initial run of Vols. 4 through 6 left, so act quickly if you want to have the original version of those releases on your shelf. I expect ROH to switch over to selling the retail version of Vol. 4 within the next two months or so once the stock has run out.

INVERNESS, FL EVENT EARNS VOLUME 13 STATUS!
----------------------------------------------------------

Tthough initially we had made the decision to not include the 7/1 Inverness, FL show as part of the Volume number DVD series (the plan was to keep it as a separate release, with simply the "Hot Summer Nights" title, as an accompaniment to the Volumes we film in Berwyn, IL), we've reconsidered.

The Inverness show turned out so well live, and translates so very well to tape that it would honestly be a huge mistake to allow this event to potentially go unnoticed or get lost in the shuffle in the long run by not recognizing it as "Volume 13."

The show featured the first ever SHIMMER Title defense, which also wound up being the most lengthy match in company history. It also featured the big Volume 5 rematch between Amazing Kong and Nikki Roxx, as well as the continuation of the Allison Danger/Cindy Rogers feud, and the first SHIMMER meeting between Daizee Haze and MsChif. Thus, this show is very significant in our DVD sequence, and deserves to be considered "Volume 13," rather than just an accompaniment DVD to the rest of the series. Volume 13 it is!

FULL RESULTS FROM JULY 1ST IN INVERNESS, FL!

SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES presented a live event on Sunday, July 1st at the Citrus County Auditorium in Inverness, FL as part of the "Hot Summer Nights" tour with Full Impact Pro. Here's what went down...
In a pre-show SPARKLE contest, RODERICK STRONG successfully defended the FIP World Heavyweight Title in a four way match against Masked FIPper #16, The Masked Sparkler, and Chasyn Rance, after Strong pinned the Sparkler following the Gibson Driver.
All of the wrestlers surrounded the ring for a ten bell salute to "Sensational" Sherri Martel and Woman before the main show kicked off.
1. "The Definition of Technician" CINDY ROGERS def. ALLISON DANGER two falls to one in a two out of three falls contest. Rogers got a quick pinfall in the opening seconds of the match with a rollup and a handful of tights. Danger tied the match following Flirting With Danger and the Shimmering Warlock. Rogers won the third and deciding fall when the referee called for the bell after Danger passed out in the TCB.
2. PORTUGUESE PRINCESS ARIEL def. AMBER O'NEAL with the Dariel.
3. LEXIE FYFE def. DAFFNEY via submission with a leglock. This was Daffney's first appearance in SHIMMER as a wrestler, and she put in a very strong showing until re-injuring her left knee, which has been a recurring problem for the past several years. Lexie realized this and immediately clamped on a submission hold to earn the tap out victory. Post-match, Lexie and partner MALIA HOSAKA continued the beating on Daffney until MsCHIF and SERENA DEEB hit the ring to run them off. Lexie brawled to the locker room with MsChif, and Daffney was carried to the back, leaving Serena and Malia inside the ring. The referree called for the opening bell and their match got underway immediately.
4. SERENA DEEB def. MALIA HOSAKA with the spear.
5. CHEERLEADER MELISSA def. RAIN with the Air Raid Crash after fifteen minutes of back and forth action.
6. DAIZEE HAZE def. MsCHIF in their first match against one another in SHIMMER competition. The bout lasted twenty minutes, and displayed just how familiar with one another these two former training mates and frequent adversaries are. Daizee scored the pinfall with a unique rollup.
7. AMAZING KONG def. NIKKI ROXX with the Amazing Press in approximately fifteen minutes. The brutal contest spilled into the crowd, and all around the Citrus County Auditorium. Kong bloodied the nose of Roxx with the spinning backfist before hitting the splash off the turnbuckles for the victory.
8. In the main event of the evening, "American Angel" SARA DEL REY def. LACEY to retain the SHIMMER Championship in just under thirty minutes. The match saw both wrestlers give it all they had for the duration, without any outside interference this time from Lacey's tag team partner Rain. Ultimately, Sara was able to force Lacey to tap out while in the Royal Butterfly.
Everyone at SHIMMER would like to thank the 150 fans who came to see the show live at the Citrus County Auditorium, to make our first live event outside of the Chicago area a success! SHIMMER now has a second home in Florida, and will be returning in the future.
The event was filmed with three cameras for a future DVD release, titled "SHIMMER Hot Summer Nights" (it won't be a Volume number in the series... those will be strictly the Berwyn double DVD tapings).
Daffney iced her knee in the locker room following her match, and was able to put a bit of weight on the leg after the show and walk without the aid of crutches. It was a recurring injury that once again got aggrivated during the course of the match, and she hopes to be back in conditition to wrestle once again within the next two months or so. We all wish Daffney a speedy recovery, as she put on a fantastic performance in the match up until the injury took place.
In a footnote pointed out during a promo taped for the DVD, this was Malia Hosaka's second appearance during her career at the Citrus County Auditorium in Inverness, as she also had her fifth ever match at the same venue 20 years ago against Wendi Richter.
Photographer Walter Lippmann was ringside at the show taking action photos of all the matches. Those should be posted in his online photo albums very soon.
SHIMMER returns to live action on Saturday, October 13th at the Eagles Club (6309 26th Street) in Berwyn, IL for the Volumes 13 & 14 tapings. Front row reserved seating for the event is already sold out. Look for General Admission tickets for the October 13th Berwyn taping to go on sale in the next few weeks.

Amber O'Neal, plus Amazing Kong & The Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew def. Sara Del Rey & Daizee Haze & Allison Danger. The "Hot Summer Nights" tour begins tonight, Friday, June 29th, in Melbourne, FL! SHIMMER stars Daizee Haze, Sara Del Rey, Lacey, and Allison Danger will be a part of the Melbourne event tonight. This event is part of the "Hot Summer Nights" tour promoted by SHIMMER and Full Impact Pro, featuring three consecutive nights of wrestling from Friday, 6/29 through Sunday, 7/1.

SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES presents its first live event in the state of Florida this Sunday, July 1st, 2007, at the Citrus County Auditorium, located at 3610 S. Florida Ave (Highway 41) in Inverness, FL. Bell time is 6pm. Doors will open at 5pm.

EXAMINING THIS SUNDAY'S CARD
Sara Del Rey was able to overcome the interference of Rain and everything that Lacey threw at her earlier this month in Berwyn to become the first ever SHIMMER Champion. Lacey is out to keep Sara's title reign limited to one month, and has the opportunity to even the score in Inverness, with the belt on the line.
The Amazing Kong vs. Nikki Roxx bout from Volume 5 became one of the most talked about matches on the SHIMMER DVD series due to the brutal style of Kong mixed with the tremendous heart and determination of Roxx. After the match against Kong, Nikki became more determined than ever, and began a winning streak in SHIMMER competition, working her way up to the main event level in SHIMMER. Does Nikki now have what it takes to overcome the sheer size and power of the undefeated Amazing Kong? We will find out this Sunday at "Hot Summer Nights!"
Cindy Rogers felt under appreciated by the SHIMMER fans, and stated on Volume 8 that she has to do whatever it takes to climb to the top of the roster and "get noticed." Allison Danger tried to steer Cindy on the right path as her tag team partner on Volume 9, only for Cindy to turn on her and walk out on the match.
This led to a series of wild brawls between the two, including a grudge match on Volume 10, a street fight on Volume 11, and a Dog Collar Chain Match on Volume 12. Danger demanded the Dog Collar stipulation after Cindy attacked her with a chain following the street fight, and Cindy was able to come up the winner of the match, despite being out of her element in a hardcore style contest.
Danger requested another match against Rogers for "Hot Summer Nights" to avenge her loss in the Dog Collar Match, but Cindy would only agree to it if she had the option of picking the stipulation. Danger agreed, and Cindy selected a Two out of Three Falls match for Inverness.
Rogers has stated that all she needs in order to prove that she is better than Allison Danger is her technical wrestling ability, and feels that a Two out of Three Falls scientific wrestling match is the perfect way to prove it. "I don't need weapons or chains to beat her again. I'll do it with my skill, and show everyone yet again why The Definition of Techician deserves to be at the top of the card."
As many of you know, Tiana Ringer had to miss the SHIMMER Title Tournament events on 6/1 & 6/2 due to a death in the family. Tiana informed us this past Saturday afternoon that she has made the decision to take some time off from professional wrestling, to focus more on personal matters for the time being. She will unfortunately not be a part of next weekend's FIP events and the SHIMMER show in Florida as a result. All of us at SHIMMER wish Tiana the very best, and there is always an open door for her here at SHIMMER whenever she decides that she is ready to get back into action.
With Tiana removed from the card, that freed up a spot on Sunday's show. Trying to make the most of this opportunity, Daffney has stepped up to the plate to fill the void, and will make her first appearance as a wrestler in SHIMMER on July 1st in Inverness! On the heels of The Experience suffering their first tag team loss to Daffney's duo of Cheerleader Melissa & MsChif earlier this month in Berwyn, Lexie Fyfe has requested to be Daffney's first opponent in SHIMMER competition.
Also just signed for Sunday's event is a first time SHIMMER meeting between two women who broke into pro wrestling in the same region of the country, and who have both grown tremendously as wrestlers in the time since, as both allies and enemies along the way. MsChif will face Daizee Haze one on one at "Hot Summer Nights" next Sunday!

Ring of Honor presented live events this past Friday, 6/22 in Dayton, OH, and Saturday, 6/23 in Chicago Ridge, IL. SHIMMER Special Attraction matches took
place on both shows.

On Friday night in Dayton, Lacey defeated Serena Deeb with the implant DDT after Rain made her way to ringside and served as a distraction. Post-match,
Lacey and Rain, along with Jimmy Jacobs at their side, viciously continued to attack Serena until Daizee Haze hit the ring to make the save.

On Saturday night in Chicago Ridge, Lacey & Rain defeated the team of MsChif & Daizee Haze after hitting their double team tomikaze on MsChif. The match
will be included on the DVD release of the Chicago Ridge event (it will not appear on the pay-per-view which was taped that evening).

SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES presents its first live event in the state of Florida on Sunday, July 1st, 2007, at the Citrus County Auditorium, located at 3610
S. Florida Ave (Highway 41) in Inverness, FL. Bell time is 6pm. Doors will open at 5pm. This event is part of the "Hot Summer Nights" tour promoted by
SHIMMER and Full Impact Pro, featuring three consecutive nights of wrestling from Friday, 6/29 through Sunday, 7/1.

Tickets for the 7/1 SHIMMER event are just $10 for adults, and $5 for kids 13 and under. Tickets will be available at the door on the day of the event.
The show is suitable for all ages!

This is a huge weekend for Ring of Honor, as the company tapes its second pay-per-view on Saturday night at the Frontier Fieldhouse in Chicago Ridge, IL.

SHIMMER Special Attraction matches have been added to both Friday night's card in Dayton, OH at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds Coliseum as well as Saturday's show in Chicago Ridge.

This Friday, 6/22 in Dayton, OH will see a singles match of Lacey vs. Serena Deeb/

This Saturday, 6/23 in Chicago Ridge, IL will see a tag team contest of Daizee Haze & MsChif vs. Lacey & Rain.

The tag team match on Saturday's card will be taped for the DVD release of the Chicago Ridge event (it will not appear on the PPV).

LEXIE FYFE REMEMBERS "SENSATIONAL" SHERRI
----------------------------------------------------------

Well, I never thought I would be writing remembrances
of Sherri Martel this soon. All day long after
getting the news I just kept saying, "I'm sad." It is
such a sad day for wrestling in general but even more
so for those of us who thought we would have more
opportunities to talk to, learn from and just absorb
whatever knowledge we could from Sherri.

What can I say about her that others haven't said more
eloquently than I ever could? Yes, she was great for
women's wrestling but I think she was great for
wrestling period. She really did have it all- looks,
ability, mic skills and that great timing that
wrestlers and managers need to have. She was one of
the best.

I have a couple of favorite Sherri memories that I
would love to share. The first time I met Sherri was
in 1999 when I was at a show wrestling Amy Dumas aka
Lita. Amy actually wrote about this in her book
also-that is how much we both were crazy about Sherri.
I remember being so excited that we were going to
meet her and thinking that we had to put on the best
match ever. Sherri came into the locker room and said
hi then immediately went into one of the stalls. Amy
and I just giggled to each other that Sherri Martel
was peeing in our locker room- when I say we were
marks for her I mean it!! When she came out, we
introduced ourselves to her and she was nice enough to
take a picture with us. She watched our match that
night and afterwards we asked her for advice. All she
really said was she was glad she wasn't working with
us because we hit really hard. To this day we're not
sure if that was a compliment or not.

Wow, I have so many little memories of Sherri...she
was always so nice to everyone...

Another time we were at a show in Warren, Ohio and she
was doing the commentating along with Rocco Rock (the
late Ted Petty). She borrowed some hairspray so she
could get her Flock of Seagulls hairdo working. That
was her discription not mine although it was a very
80's pop group hairdo she was sporting. I was just
looking at those pictures the other day and thinking
how much I miss Ted and now I'm missing Sherri too.
It's funny how memories can make you smile and cry at
the same time.

I did have the honor of wrestling against her at one
of Ian Rotten's IWA MidSouth shows. She was already
having her serious back issues at the time and I was
worried about hurting her even more. Besides that, I
was freaked out because I was going to WRESTLE SHERRI
MARTEL!!! Unless you're in the wrestling business I
don't think you can truly understand what it means to
wrestle one of your idols. Anyway, we had our match
and I will treasure that forever.

Over the years I have caught up with her at
conventions and shows. Sometimes we had a chance to
sit down and chat. Other times it was a quick hug
hello then off to work. She always had a smile and a
hug for everyone.

What more can I say? There will never be another
Sherri Martel and I will miss her.

THREE BIG MATCHES ANNOUNCED FOR INVERNESS!

SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES presents its first live event in the state of Florida on Sunday, July 1st, 2007, at the Citrus County Auditorium, located at 3610 S. Florida Ave (Highway 41) in Inverness, FL. Bell time is 6pm. Doors will open at 5pm. This event is part of the "Hot Summer Nights" tour promoted by SHIMMER and Full Impact Pro, featuring three consecutive nights of wrestling from Friday, 6/29 through Sunday, 7/1.

Tickets for the 7/1 SHIMMER event are just $10 for adults, and will be available at the door on the night of the event or can be purchased in advance right now using the PayPal buttons along the left side of www.shimmerwrestling.com. Kids 13 and under can get $5 tickets at the door on the night of the event. The show is suitable for all ages!

Sara Del Rey was able to overcome the interference of Rain and everything that Lacey threw at her less than two weeks ago in Berwyn to become the first ever SHIMMER Champion. Lacey is out to keep Sara's title reign limited to one month, and has the opportunity to even the score in Inverness, with the belt on the line.

AMAZING KONG vs. NIKKI ROXX

The Amazing Kong vs. Nikki Roxx bout from Volume 5 became one of the most talked about matches on the SHIMMER DVD series due to the brutal style of Kong mixed with the tremendous heart and determination of Roxx. After the match against Kong, Nikki became more determined than ever, and began a winning streak in SHIMMER competition, working her way up to the main event level in SHIMMER. Does Nikki now have what it takes to overcome the sheer size and power of the undefeated Amazing Kong? We will find out in less than three weeks at "Hot Summer Nights!"

"The Definition of Technician" CINDY ROGERS vs. ALLISON DANGER

Cindy Rogers felt under appreciated by the SHIMMER fans, and stated on Volume 8 that she has to do whatever it takes to climb to the top of the roster and "get noticed." Allison Danger tried to steer Cindy on the right path as her tag team partner on Volume 9, only for Cindy to turn on her and walk out on the match.

This led to a series of wild brawls between the two, including a grudge match on Volume 10, a street fight on Volume 11, and a Dog Collar Chain Match on Volume 12. Danger demanded the Dog Collar stipulation after Cindy attacked her with a chain following the street fight, and Cindy was able to come up the winner of the match, despite being out of her element in a hardcore style contest.

Danger requested another match against Rogers for "Hot Summer Nights" to avenge her loss in the Dog Collar Match, but Cindy would only agree to it if she had the option of picking the stipulation. Danger agreed, and Cindy selected a Two out of Three Falls match for Inverness.

Rogers has stated that all she needs in order to prove that she is better than Allison Danger is her technical wrestling ability, and feels that a Two out of Three Falls scientific wrestling match is the perfect way to prove it. "I don't need weapons or chains to beat her again. I'll do it with my skill, and show everyone yet again why The Definition of Techician deserves to be at the top of the card."

One of the most intense rivalries currently in SHIMMER will heat up once again in Florida on July 1st! Look for more matches to be added to the Inverness card during the coming days.

Also appearing in Inverness, along with the three announced matches are: Amber O'Neal, Daizee Haze, Rain, Cheerleader Melissa, "The Experience" of Lexie Fyfe & Malia Hosaka, "Your Soul's Tormentor" MsChif (with Daffney in her corner), Tiana Ringer, Portuguese Princess Ariel, and Serena Deeb!

For those who have yet to see the announcements, unfortunately Portia Perez has been sidelined for six to eight weeks as a result of fracturing her hand during her match against MsChif on 6/2 in Berwyn, and will be forced to miss the Inverness show. Additionally, we got word earlier in the week from "The Jezebel" Eden Black that she will be unable to make the trip to the U.S. for the event, as she is needed at her regular job that week in London. Eden will be a part of the next SHIMMER double DVD taping in Berwyn later this year. Our apologies for the change.

REMEMBERING "SENSATIONAL" SHERRI
----------------------------------------------------------

Like so many individuals in the wrestling industry who have called me over the past several hours, and countless wrestling fans around the world who have read the news online, I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of "Sensational" Sherri Martel today.

Sherri was the first star performer in pro wrestling that I actually met as a fan prior to getting involved in the business myself. I was introduced to Sherri through mutual friend Marianne Ryan backstage at a live event in Chicago at the Rosemont Horizon (now the Allstate Arena). I was a big fan of Sherri's work from just watching her do her thing on WWF television, and was quite excited to get to actually meet her in person.

Several years later, I would cross paths with Sherri once again, as Ian Rotten brought her in for some appearances in IWA Mid-South, including a bloody dog collar match against Debbie Combs back in the days when IWA ran the old K-Mart building in Louisville. I was just growing my hair long for the first time around that period of time, and, silly as it may sound, I still have the girly silver hair tie Sherri gave me that night in a drawer full of many of my wrestling mementos.

Sherri was the first "name" that I got the opportunity to feud with as a manager, and the first woman wrestler that I ever competed against in mixed tag matches. Both of those opportunities came through Carmine DeSpirito's Mid American Wrestling promotion in Milwaukee. As CM Punk, Jason Kronan, and I were laying out Dino and Bobby Bambino one night, Sherri hit the ring and pulled off my pants to reveal smiley faced boxer shorts to the cheering approval of the drunken fans in attendance at the Knights of Columbus in West Allis. We'd later to go on to wrestle in a big intergender six person tables, ladders, and chairs match, which saw us crazily battle atop ladders, and put one another through tables. We wrestled against one another about a year or so later, once again at an MAW show promoted by Carmine, this time held at Kelly's Bleachers in Wind Lake. Those matches were far from wrestling classics on my part, but they were nonetheless very fun times, and landmarks in my wrestling career which I look back upon quite fondly.

I always credit my increased interest in women's pro wrestling to having worked with so many women on the independent scene during my time as a manager, and feeling that they were under appreciated and under utilized. A huge part of what made me go back and watch more old American women's wrestling tapes and ultimately start promoting women's events myself was the influence Sherri had on me over the years.

Not many people know it, because it never came to fruition, but Sherri was the only woman wrestler who I ever offered, or even really considered, to perform in the role of the SHIMMER Commissioner. She had to turn the offer down in early 2006, due to a combination of her constant back problems at the time which required very limited travel (she had been seeing a chiropractor regularly and was in pain on a daily basis), and she was just about to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, and received a legends contract, which could have posed some issues with appearing on our DVD series in retail. The last time I spoke with Sherri I let her know that if she was ever up to it in the future, the SHIMMER Commissioner spot was hers, as I truly valued her contributions to pro wrestling over the years and felt she would be an excellent authority figure to "govern" the top women wrestlers that are active today. It's a shame that it never came to be.

Sherri was an unbelievable heel, both as a wrestler as well as in her role as a manager. I remember watching television on Saturday mornings growing up and seeing Sherri with her crazy facepaint cutting the most intense interviews. She was a true pro wrestling manager, willing to get physical when need be, and got great heat from the ringside fans, all thanks to her history as a wrestler.

Our event in Inverness on 7/1 will be dedicated to Sherri's memory, as her inspiration is a huge reason why the company exists in the first place. Thankfully, we have our old videotapes, as well as our memories over the years, to be reminded of Sherri's tremendous contributions to our sport. Thanks for the everything, Sherri! You will be greatly missed.

Never in my wildest dreams have I imagined that, after speaking of her in multiple interviews, I would be writing about her death. Make no mistake about it, Sherri Martel was a pioneer in women's wrestling. Women like Sherri paved the path in the wrestling that I walk along today with my fellow SHIMMER companions and with every female wrestler out there. I regret that I never, ever got the chance to thank Sherri in person for her contributions both to women's wrestling in general and to my personal career. She had no idea the influence she had on me. Sherri was so much an inspiration for my character in ROH and the Prophecy. Dan Maff used to call me "his Sherri" at ringside. To me, there was no bigger honor he could have bestowed on me. I dedicate that time to her. I just hope we make her proud as we continue building this path for future generations. Rest in peace Sherri.

Waking up to the news that Sensational Sherri had passed away at the age of 49 was a strange moment. It wasn't long ago that I was sitting with my other half JP and MsChif at our flat in the UK, watching the Shawn Michaels vs 'The Model' Rick Martel match where she has stipulated that neither can hit the other in the face, and she 'faints' when they begin to do so - only to be drenched with water by Martel in an effort to 'revive' her. That was one of my favourite Summerslam matches, purely because of her work and managerial presence in it. This business seems to have a habit of taking people away far too young. Rest in peace Sherri - thank you for everything you have done for this business, but particularly, for us women.

TICKETS ON SALE THIS WEEKEND FOR NEXT BERWYN TAPING

SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES will return to the Eagles Club (6309 26th Street) in Berwyn, IL on Saturday, October 13th, 2007, to film Volumes 13 & 14 of the SHIMMER DVD series. Bell time for the taping will be 4pm. Doors will open at 3pm.

Front row reserved tickets will go on sale this weekend, at a cost of $30. We will only be offering 65 front row seats for the Volumes 13 & 14 taping (fewer than in the past), to shorten the length of each row so as to make the seats on the end of each section more appealing.

Fans attending the All American Wrestling event this Saturday, June 16th, at the Eagles Club, will have first crack at front row reserved seating for the SHIMMER taping. Tickets will go on sale at intermission of the AAW show.

For those unable to attend AAW, who wish to purchase front row reserved tickets online, the remaining tickets that we didn't sell at AAW will go on sale at 12pm Central/1pm Eastern on Sunday afternoon, June 17th. THREE BIG MATCHES ANNOUNCED FOR INVERNESS!

SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES presents its first live event in the state of Florida on Sunday, July 1st, 2007, at the Citrus County Auditorium, located at 3610 S. Florida Ave (Highway 41) in Inverness, FL. Bell time is 6pm. Doors will open at 5pm. This event is part of the "Hot Summer Nights" tour promoted by SHIMMER and Full Impact Pro, featuring three consecutive nights of wrestling from Friday, 6/29 through Sunday, 7/1.

Tickets for the 7/1 SHIMMER event are just $10 for adults, and will be available at the door on the night of the event or can be purchased in advance right now using the PayPal buttons along the left side of www.shimmerwrestling.com. Sara Del Rey was able to overcome the interference of Rain and everything that Lacey threw at her less than two weeks ago in Berwyn to become the first ever SHIMMER Champion. Lacey is out to keep Sara's title reign limited to one month, and has the opportunity to even the score in Inverness, with the belt on the line.

AMAZING KONG vs. NIKKI ROXX

The Amazing Kong vs. Nikki Roxx bout from Volume 5 became one of the most talked about matches on the SHIMMER DVD series due to the brutal style of Kong mixed with the tremendous heart and determination of Roxx. After the match against Kong, Nikki became more determined than ever, and began a winning streak in SHIMMER competition, working her way up to the main event level in SHIMMER. Does Nikki now have what it takes to overcome the sheer size and power of the undefeated Amazing Kong? We will find out in less than three weeks at "Hot Summer Nights!"

"The Definition of Technician" CINDY ROGERS vs. ALLISON DANGER

Cindy Rogers felt under appreciated by the SHIMMER fans, and stated on Volume 8 that she has to do whatever it takes to climb to the top of the roster and "get noticed." Allison Danger tried to steer Cindy on the right path as her tag team partner on Volume 9, only for Cindy to turn on her and walk out on the match.

This led to a series of wild brawls between the two, including a grudge match on Volume 10, a street fight on Volume 11, and a Dog Collar Chain Match on Volume 12. Danger demanded the Dog Collar stipulation after Cindy attacked her with a chain following the street fight, and Cindy was able to come up the winner of the match, despite being out of her element in a hardcore style contest.

Danger requested another match against Rogers for "Hot Summer Nights" to avenge her loss in the Dog Collar Match, but Cindy would only agree to it if she had the option of picking the stipulation. Danger agreed, and Cindy selected a Two out of Three Falls match for Inverness.

Rogers has stated that all she needs in order to prove that she is better than Allison Danger is her technical wrestling ability, and feels that a Two out of Three Falls scientific wrestling match is the perfect way to prove it. "I don't need weapons or chains to beat her again. I'll do it with my skill, and show everyone yet again why The Definition of Techician deserves to be at the top of the card."

One of the most intense rivalries currently in SHIMMER will heat up once again in Florida on July 1st! Look for more matches to be added to the Inverness card during the coming days.

Also appearing in Inverness, along with the three announced matches are: Amber O'Neal, Daizee Haze, Rain, Cheerleader Melissa, "The Experience" of Lexie Fyfe & Malia Hosaka, "Your Soul's Tormentor" MsChif (with Daffney in her corner), Tiana Ringer, Portuguese Princess Ariel, and Serena Deeb!

For those who have yet to see the announcements, unfortunately Portia Perez has been sidelined for six to eight weeks as a result of fracturing her hand during her match against MsChif on 6/2 in Berwyn, and will be forced to miss the Inverness show. Additionally, we got word earlier in the week from "The Jezebel" Eden Black that she will be unable to make the trip to the U.S. for the event, as she is needed at her regular job that week in London. Eden will be a part of the next SHIMMER double DVD taping in Berwyn later this year. Our apologies for the change.
