SPOTLIGHT MATCHES OF THE WEEK

CAPW Jr. Heavyweight Title: Super Hentai vs. Shark Boy vs. The Aftermath
When Super Hentai captured the CAPW Junior Heavyweight Title earlier this year, he began a crusade. A crusade to bring honor, prestige, and respect to a championship that truly deserved it. A championship that had once been held captive by egomaniacs like the Johnny Garganos of the world, was now free to be represented by a man who is a champion in every sense of the word, both in and out of the wrestling ring. On August 5, Hentai attempts to continue to build the legacy of both himself and the title he holds, against two very different opponents. One, The Aftermath, is still at the beginning of his career, still trying to earn a name for himself, and can do so overnight by defeating someone with the worldwide experience of Hentai. Also, there is the individual from “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” Shark Boy. One of the most unique and fun-filled athletes anywhere in the world today, however in Hentai’s eyes, Shark Boy lacks the true serious qualities that a champion should represent. Hentai will be fighting for what he believes in, what he believes a champion should be, but can this champions survive two hungry challengers, one possessing the lethal bite of a shark?

Grudge Match: “Dogfaced Gremlin” Rick Steiner vs. Buff Bagwell
The careers of these two legendary tag team grapplers have intertwined several times over the years, most frequently and notably in World Championship Wrestling. It was while in WCW in early-1998, that these men would cross paths in a moment that would change each of their lives forever. While attempting one of his trademark bulldog headlock takedowns, Steiner inadvertently injured Bagwell, breaking the then-NWO member’s neck in the process. It was a moment that would not soon be forgotten, and would ultimately tear apart both the Steiner and Bagwell family at its very seams before it was all said and done. However, old grudges die hard, and on August 5, it’s the match over 9 years in the making as Bagwell goes face-to-face with the man who changed his life forever, and Steiner goes face-to-face with the man responsible for turning Rick’s brother against him. What will happen when old wounds are reopened and these men face each other inside the squared circle one more time?

Aerial Insanity: Too Cold Scorpio vs. “M-Dogg 20” Matt Cross
Throughout the 1990s, Too Cold Scorpio raised the bar in high-flying wrestling, showcasing feats of phenomenal athleticism never before seen in U.S. wrestling. First with WCW, then ECW, then as Flash Funk in the World Wrestling Federation, Scorpio carved a reputation as a true trendsetter in risk-taking. However, in this decade, one man may have surpassed him. “M-Dogg 20” Matt Cross has, in many instances, attempted to raise the bar even further. When M-Dogg is called “The Innovator of Aerial Insanity” it’s not simply a clever marketing phrase, its fact. M-Dogg not only utilizes, but perfects, countless high-risk moves, including being the first U.S. competitor to popularize the Space Flying M-Dogg Drop as well as Death From Above. On August 5, two of the most innovative fliers in wrestling history wage aerial warfare against one another in what is sure to be a breathtaking show-stealing spectacle.

Open Challenge: Hardcore Rules: Jessica Havok vs. Luna Vachon
Jessica Havok is the most intimidating female presence to ever step foot into a CAPW ring. Since signing on as JT Lightning’s personal bodyguard, Jessica has earned her keep by annihilating every opponent, both male and female, that has been put in her path. Havok has made it a habit to dispose of one, two, or sometimes up to four different opponents in the same night. It is clear no woman on CAPW’s regular roster can pose a challenge to Jessica Havok, but on Sunday August 5 she’ll be opposed by someone not like anyone on CAPW’s active roster: Luna Vachon. One needs only to look at the menacing snear and grating voice of Luna to know how dangerous she can become. And anyone who questions her toughness need only look at her legendary family of aunts and uncles (Maurice “Mad Dog” Vachon, Paul “Butcher” Vachon, and Vivian Vachon) to know she has been bred for success from a very young age. On August 5, Luna brings her wild unpredictable style rarely if ever seen in women’s professional wrestling today, and she also brings Hardcore Rules. No disqualifications, anything goes. Will Jessica Havok be able to withstand one of wrestling’s wildest women, or has the master of the “Open Challenge” finally met her match?

“Wildfire” Tommy Rich vs. Chris Cronus
Tommy Rich has been a major player in professional wrestling for well over 25 years. Another athlete who was wise beyond his years, Rich’s fiery demeanor and textbook wrestling technique propelled Rich to early and major success. Rich became the youngest ever NWA World Heavyweight Champion, defeating Harley Race in April of 1981, and went on to capture several other national and regional championships throughout his career. Rich, a southern boy born and bred through his entire career, experienced an unlikely career resurgence in ECW in the late-90s as the leader of the “Full Blooded Italians”. Known as “The Big Don”, his Italian heritage was always highly in question, but his toughness never was, regularly surviving wars with everyone from The Blue Meanie to New Jack. Now, Wildfire makes his way to CAPW to battle Chris Cronus, someone who much like Rich, has achieved major success at a very young age. It’s the old guard vs. the new guard August 5th when Cronus meets Tommy Rich.

Dominic Denucci vs. Lord Zoltan
Without question, one of the most timeless competitors in wrestling history is the legendary Dominic Denucci. Despite several decades of competition in the sport, Denucci is still as tough and fearless as he ever was. This former WWWF Tag Team Champion is not only a well respected wrestler, but an accomplished trainer as well. Denucci trained multiple-time World Champions Mick Foley and “The Franchise” Shane Douglas in the mid-1980s, running them through rigorous training routines that would instill a work ethic and pain threshold in them evident for years to come. Denucci’s opponent on August 5 is another timeless athlete, someone who’s had consistent regional success throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania and beyond for over 30 years, the one and only Lord Zoltan. The bizarre Zoltan has been in the ring with virtually every top star of wrestling’s past and present, including a memorable run-in with The Honky Tonk Man in CAPW earlier this year. Two timeless veterans respected over the entire region and beyond will do battle on August 5.

IWC Summer Sizzler 4 Official Results: Battle Lines Are Re-Drawn & Two New Champions Crowned!

IWC SUMMER SIZZLER 4: BATTLE LINES ARE RE-DRAWN, TWO TITLES CHANGE HANDS

IWC’s Summer Sizzler culminated in what was one of the most anticipated one-on-one meetings in recent memory: The man who has rightfully been dubbed “The Baddest Man in IWC” Ray Rowe, with Cleveland Mafia partner J-Rocc in his corner, taking on the current TNA X Division Champion “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe. Two men with an intensity and a style like no other. Both men refused to give an inch to the other in what quickly turned into a highly physical contest. After Rowe was dropped ribs-first into the steel turnbuckle bolt, it was feared the match may end prematurely. As Rowe’s corner man J-Rocc prepared to throw in the towel, Rowe physically stopped his partner, demanding the match continue. Rowe would recover in superhuman like fashion, kicking out of the musclebuster and escaping the Kokina Clutch. However, once Joe was able to lock in the Kokina Clutch for the second time, Rowe’s body finally gave out, and Samoa Joe was deemed the victor. However, it took everything Joe had within him and a broken rib to stop the suplex machine known as Ray Rowe.

IWC Champion Dennis Gregory’s true colors continued to shine through at Summer Sizzler. Just two months after using his longtime friendship with promoter Norm Connors to manipulate Norm into firing other heavyweight title contenders, and deeming Gregory the number one contender, only to see Gregory capitalize on these shortcuts to capture the IWC Title, Gregory sank even further. Apparently the firings of past champions weren’t the only strings he was able to pull, as from the front door of the building came Sebastian Dark and crooked referee Steven Colter, apparently re-instated into the company. When Norm Connors attempted to object, he was handed a mysterious envelope by Dark, the contents of which seemed to make the esteemed promoter quite upset. With HENTAI already in the ring as well, Gregory announced the reformation of the Unholy Alliance, and that the entire Alliance would be there in person on August 4 at No Excuses 3. While HENTAI’s body language seemed to indicate a few reservations of some of Gregory’s proclamations, its apparent the most lethal and dangerous faction in IWC history is now back and as strong as ever, thanks to the man who had fought harder than anyone to rid IWC of the Alliance last year, Dennis Gregory.

Gregory wasted no time organizing deals for himself, striking in the Super Indy Title defense of “Sweet & Sour” Larry Sweeney against “Fabulous” John McChesney. McChesney had become consumed in recent months over his inability to recapture his fourth Super Indy title, and Gregory picked the opportune time to persuade the Fabulous One, interjecting in the match behind the official’s back, and bloodying Sweeney badly on the outside. Gregory and McChesney shook hands, cementing McChesney’s apparent arrival to the Unholy Alliance as well, as McChesney’s obsession over the Super Indy Title seemed to overrule his loyalty to the IWC brand and locker room. Sweeney fought through the pain, fought through the loss of blood, but as McChesney opened the wound further, the champion only grew weaker. After a McChesney frog splash, Sweeney had no more left in his system, and McChesney had captured his fourth Super Indy Title in very large part to Dennis Gregory. After the match, Chris Hero, a close friend of Sweeney’s who was actually brought back into IWC by Dennis Gregory, was noticeably very upset about Gregory’s actions toward Sweeney. The situation erupted into a violent brawl backstage later in the show that needed several members of the locker room to step in between.

Gregory’s Heavyweight Title defense later that night against previous champion Ricky Reyes was conveniently officiated by longtime Alliance sympathizer Steven Colter. But as Colter began to show signs of his old biased ways, promoter Norm Connors summoned referee CJ Sensation to oversee the action. However the numbers game became too much, and Sebastian Dark’s involvement, as well as John McChesney’s blatant interference led to Dennis Gregory retaining the championship. The entire newly-reformed Unholy Alliance, minus HENTAI who was sitting in on commentary for the DVD release, took liberties on Reyes, and also Bolen who had attempted to make the save but was also outnumbered. However, Sterling James Keenan made his long-anticipated IWC return, clearing the ring of Gregory and company, and the battle lines had officially been drawn again. SJK accepted Norm Connors’ personal apology, and also accepted a proposed shot at the IWC Heavyweight Title, but first SJK wanted the other individual directly responsible for SJK losing his title opportunity: Brent Albright.

IWC Tag Team Champions Michael “The Bomber” Façade and Johnny Gargano shocked the IWC world by surviving the Tag Team Title Gauntlet at Super Indy VI to become the new tag team champions. Façade & Gargano were out to prove it wasn’t just a fluke, but had their work cut out for them against former three-time champions Mickey & Marshall Gambino, along with Viki Gambino at ringside. The Gambinos were indeed able to end the Façade/Gargano feel-good story, despite J-Rocc at ringside personally endorsing and aiding the new champions. J-Rocc was able to temporarily counter-act the involvement of Viki Gambino until The Hollywood Balds made their presence known, allowing Viki to inflict more damage, spraying an unknown substance into Gargano’s eyes, leaving him temporarily blind. Mickey & Marshall took advantage of a 2-on-1 situation, and annihilated Façade with a super bomb en route to victory. After the match, the assault continued, with all five members of The Family standing tall.

However, The Hollywood Balds defeated Sexual Harassment in a #1 Tag Title Contender Match earlier in the night thanks to a miscommunication between Eric Xtasy & Justin Idol. Xtasy & Idol had already hit their signature move “The Rose Creeper” to cap off one of the most bizarre and unusual tag team encounters in IWC history. However, with Eric Xtasy on the ropes celebrating instead of attempting a cover, the Balds recovered and scored a shocking win. With The Hollywood Balds earning the right to the next tag team title shot in that match, will the glory of the gold re-create a rift in the Gambino Family?

Jon Bolen was victorious in his first official match back in IWC, defeating Chris Hero who was hired by Dennis Gregory to dispose of Bolen, who had ruined Gregory’s victory celebration and post-match attack on Ricky Reyes at Super Indy VI. Bolen scored the win with his patented Meltdown maneuver.

“Da Good Guy” Azrieal moved one step closer to Super Indy Title contention by defeating former champion “Balls Hot” Troy Lords who in spite of losing, showed an increased aggressive streak and heightened determination to once again wear IWC singles gold.

After absolutely stellar nights in singles competition at Super Indy VI, Shiima Xion & Jason Gory reformed their Babyface Fire tag team to great success, defeating young ROH prospects Ernie Osiris & “Sugarfoot” Alex Payne.

SPOTLIGHT MATCH OF THE WEEK

Dominic Denucci vs. Lord Zoltan
Without question, one of the most timeless competitors in wrestling history is the legendary Dominic Denucci. Despite several decades of competition in the sport, Denucci is still as tough and fearless as he ever was. This former WWWF Tag Team Champion is not only a well respected wrestler, but an accomplished trainer as well. Denucci trained multiple-time World Champions Mick Foley and “The Franchise” Shane Douglas in the mid-1980s, running them through rigorous training routines that would instill a work ethic and pain threshold in them evident for years to come. Denucci’s opponent on August 5 is another timeless athlete, someone who’s had consistent regional success throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania and beyond for over 30 years, the one and only Lord Zoltan. The bizarre Zoltan has been in the ring with virtually every top star of wrestling’s past and present, including a memorable run-in with The Honky Tonk Man in CAPW earlier this year. Two timeless veterans respected over the entire region and beyond will do battle on August 5.

Open Challenge: Hardcore Rules: Jessica Havok vs. Luna Vachon
Jessica Havok is the most intimidating female presence to ever step foot into a CAPW ring. Since signing on as JT Lightning’s personal bodyguard, Jessica has earned her keep by annihilating every opponent, both male and female, that has been put in her path. Havok has made it a habit to dispose of one, two, or sometimes up to four different opponents in the same night. It is clear no woman on CAPW’s regular roster can pose a challenge to Jessica Havok, but on Sunday August 5 she’ll be opposed by someone not like anyone on CAPW’s active roster: Luna Vachon. One needs only to look at the menacing snear and grating voice of Luna to know how dangerous she can become. And anyone who questions her toughness need only look at her legendary family of aunts and uncles (Maurice “Mad Dog” Vachon, Paul “Butcher” Vachon, and Vivian Vachon) to know she has been bred for success from a very young age. On August 5, Luna brings her wild unpredictable style rarely if ever seen in women’s professional wrestling today, and she also brings Hardcore Rules. No disqualifications, anything goes. Will Jessica Havok be able to withstand one of wrestling’s wildest women, or has the master of the “Open Challenge” finally met her match?

“Wildfire” Tommy Rich vs. Chris Cronus
Tommy Rich has been a major player in professional wrestling for well over 25 years. Another athlete who was wise beyond his years, Rich’s fiery demeanor and textbook wrestling technique propelled Rich to early and major success. Rich became the youngest ever NWA World Heavyweight Champion, defeating Harley Race in April of 1981, and went on to capture several other national and regional championships throughout his career. Rich, a southern boy born and bred through his entire career, experienced an unlikely career resurgence in ECW in the late-90s as the leader of the “Full Blooded Italians”. Known as “The Big Don”, his Italian heritage was always highly in question, but his toughness never was, regularly surviving wars with everyone from The Blue Meanie to New Jack. Now, Wildfire makes his way to CAPW to battle Chris Cronus, someone who much like Rich, has achieved major success at a very young age. It’s the old guard vs. the new guard August 5th when Cronus meets Tommy Rich.

TRACY SMOTHERS UPDATE

A late-breaking declaration has been made by CAPW management to deny Tracy Smothers’ requests for inclusion in the Heavyweight Title Cage Match between Jason Bane and The Blue Meanie on August 5. Management has ruled that for the sake of fair competition and the best possible main event for the fans, the issue of who will be CAPW Champion should be left between champion Meanie and top contender Bane. Smothers is still slated to re-unite with former CAPW Champion Chris Hamrick to challenge Tag champions Faith In Nothing.

CWE July 20th in Youngstown, Ohio featuring Chris Sabin

Championship Wrestling Experience presents “Culmination” live, Friday, July 20th, 2007 at the Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane, Youngstown, Ohio 44504. Doors open at 6 PM and the show begins at 7PM. Tickets are available at Havana House in Niles or online at www.championshipwrestlingonline.com. Front row tickets are $20.00, second row are $15.00, and general admission in advance will be $10. Day of show, general admission tickets will be $12.00.

The brand new CWE Undisputed title will be up for grabs as Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli battle it out in one semi-final match, and Eddie Kingston and “Sweet n Sour” Larry Sweeney battle it out in semi-final two. The winners will then battle each other to decide who will go down in the record books as the first every CWE Undisputed Champion.

4 Time TNA X-Division Champion Chris Sabin will be making his CWE debut against the high flying Matt Cross. Cross has been a regular in the CWE for some time, and this match will truly decide the path he takes in the company. This match will be one to be remembered.

Faith in Nothing have been on a hot streak since the beginning of things when they defeated the North Star Express at The Dawning. Now they face of with a new tandem in the CWE; Ring of Honor trainees Rhett Titus and Shane Hagadorn. These men have trained with the best the business has to offer, and will provide difficult opposition to FIN. The one question at hand is where there allegiances lie, but we will find out July 20th!

Sterling James Keenan will have the fight of his life as he goes up against hard hitting newcomer Raymond Rowe. Will SJK be able to overcome the sheer power and brutality that Ray Rowe in known for?

CWE Young Guns will be in action. Two undefeated streaks will be on the line as Johnny Gargano faces off with the ever cocky Patrick Hayes. Only one man will walk away with his record in tact.

The Bouncer will be the next on the list for “Syko” Sean Dahmer. Dahmer has steamrolled competition since he entered the CWE, but The Bouncer is sure to be a force to be reckoned with.

Just announced last week on the CWE homepage was the addition of two matches that will feature Shiima Xion taking on long time rival Jason Gory and Façade stepping up to take the Hydra-lock challenge. Both of these matches will provide high flying action for the fans to enjoy.

KNOW YOUR ENEMY - THIS WEEKEND

Despite the bad weather of the past week in England, 1PW presents Know Your Enemy this Saturday and Sunday LIVE from the home of 1PW, the Doncaster Dome. Two huge evening cards, both with door times of 5pm and show times of 6.30pm take place this weekend ( one Saturday and one Sunday ) , in addition to an afternoon card on Sunday and two very special events from the 1PW Academy.

There are still tickets remaining for the shows, priced between £15 and £45, they are available by calling the Doncaster Dome Box Office on 01302 370777, or online via www.1pwonline.com, or www.1pwstore.com . Tickets can be purchased via the 1PW web site up until midnight on Friday Night, and will now be left at the Dome Box Office for collection.

MARTY JANNETTY TO MISS THIS WEEKEND’S EVENTS

1PW regrets to inform its fans, that due to circumstances beyond the control of both parties, Marty Jannetty will be unable to appear at this weekend’s Know Your Enemy live events. Mr. Jannetty will instead be attending the funeral of “Sensational” Sherri Martel, and serving as a pallbearer in the service. Due to recent tragedies, we fully understand and support Mr. Jannetty’s decision to forego our events and direct his attention to more serious matters. One Pro Wrestling sends it’s condolences to Mr. Jannetty and all individuals effected by the overwhelmingly tragic events in recent times. One Pro Wrestling, however, intends to press forward, and continues to strive to provide you the best professional wrestling possible this weekend as we continue to usher in this new era of 1PW.

PAC TO MISS NIGHT ONE

As reported yesterday via the 1PW Fan Forum, the 1PW Open Weight Champion PAC will sadly miss Night One of Know Your Enemy, due to travel issue’s preventing him from getting back to England from Italy in time. Pac will still make his scheduled No Gravity Required title defence against Trent Acid, but this defence will now take place Sunday evening.

Also, 1PW received word yesterday that due to a bereavement in Jack Storms family, Team Supreme are also unable to make the shows this weekend.

CARD CHANGES

1PW Officials have been hard at work on some slight alterations to the cards for this weekend, having been affected by recent issues. On Saturday Night James Wallace will now face off against Trent Acid. Acid is the man who has bumped Wallace from his coveted OW title shot on Sunday evening, and Wallace surely wont be happy about that. Acid needs to prove here that he is worthy of the title shot, although no matter the result of this match Trent Acid will face Pac on Sunday evening in the huge No Gravity Required match.

On Sunday night, Doug Williams will now face El Generico, in what should be one of the best bouts of the entire weekend.

WILL NOT DIE RELEASED THIS SATURDAY

1PW ACADEMY EVENTS FOR KYE WEEKEND

The 1PW Academy will be in full force at KYE weekend, presenting two training classes, for regular and new students alike.

Saturday June 30th 10am - 2pm is the STERLING JAMES KEENAN SEMINAR. This event is all ticket ( tickets are £20 and are available via www.1pwonline.com or via this weekends Academy session ) - this awesome four hour seminar will be good for regular students, and also for people who have never attended an Academy session. The first two hours will take place in a class room environment, where students can learn all about character development and interview skills from one of the best in the sport. The second two hours will take place in the ring, in the arena, in a traditional training environment.

There will also be an ACADEMY TRAINING SESSION, 10.30am until 1.30am, on Sunday July 1st , inside the 1PW Arena. This will be a regular training session for Academy students, but will also be an “ open day “ for new or prospective students , who want to check out what the Academy is all about. The session will be held by Academy Head Coach Keith Myatt, but with all the stats in Doncaster for the weekend, who know who could show up to join in the training or to say hi to the students and pass on some words of advice . This training session is the regular £10, payable on the day.

October 13th and 14th LIVE from the Doncaster Dome. A huge weekend celebrating 1PWs second birthday. Many big names and surprised are planned for this, 1PWs biggest shows of our calendar year. Tickets are set to go on sale mid once Know Your Enemy is in the bag.

1PW CHRISTMAS SHOW

December 28th LIVE from the Doncaster Dome. The name of this event is not confirmed yet, however we can tell you very obviously from the date of the show, that this will be a Christmas celebration like no other.

FIGHT CLUB IV is now in stock. From November of last year, this show features the Open Weight Title “ Fight for the Future “ , Steve Corino’s last ever 1PW appearance, and the bloodiest match in 1PW history as Iceman clashes with Martin Stone in a sickening Falls Count Anywhere match.

WILL NOT DIE is to be released in time for Know Your Enemy at the end of June. This is the controversial event that many thought marked the death of 1PW. Ulf Herman and Iceman battle over the 1PW Championship, and Pac faces Kid Kash in a heated and brutal battle. In addition to being released exclusively via 1PWOnline.com and to purchase at live events, Will Not Die has also been confirmed for a retail level release nationwide, in August. Look for this title in branches of HMV, Virgin Megastores and other good retailers across the UK.

RESSURRECTION is on track to follow some time after Will Not Die.

BLOOD,GUTS AND FLAMING TABLES is a collection of 1PWs most hardcore and bloodthirsty matches, that has been complied exclusively for a national retail level release in August. Look for this title in branches of HMV, Virgin Megastores and other good retailers across the UK.

A CRUEL TWIST OF FATE was the debut 1PW event, and to commemorate the Second Anniversary of 1PW this October, 1PW will present the A Cruel Twist of Fate Special Edition. The original blockbuster show will be re-mastered and have extra features, exclusive and never before seen footage. This is scheduled for release at a national retail level this October. Look for this title in branches of HMV, Virgin Megastores and other
good retailers across the UK.

The original print version of A Cruel Twist of Fate has now been deleted, awaiting the special edition. The last few that 1PW has in stock are available via www.1pwstore.com

“Wildfire” Tommy Rich vs. Chris Cronus
Tommy Rich has been a major player in professional wrestling for well over 25 years. Another athlete who was wise beyond his years, Rich’s fiery demeanor and textbook wrestling technique propelled Rich to early and major success. Rich became the youngest ever NWA World Heavyweight Champion, defeating Harley Race in April of 1981, and went on to capture several other national and regional championships throughout his career. Rich, a southern boy born and bred through his entire career, experienced an unlikely career resurgence in ECW in the late-90s as the leader of the “Full Blooded Italians”. Known as “The Big Don”, his Italian heritage was always highly in question, but his toughness never was, regularly surviving wars with everyone from The Blue Meanie to New Jack. Now, Wildfire makes his way to CAPW to battle Chris Cronus, someone who much like Rich, has achieved major success at a very young age. It’s the old guard vs. the new guard August 5th when Cronus meets Tommy Rich.

TRACY SMOTHERS’ OUTBURST AND FALLOUT TO AIR ON STO

Following lengthy meetings with management and attorneys alike, Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling has green-lighted the controversial footage of Tracy Smothers’ rant shortly following his losing of the CAPW Title, to air at least in part, in a future edition of Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling on Sports Time Ohio. Furthermore, in regards to Mr. Smothers’ demands concerning his addition to the Night of Legends Steel Cage Championship Match, and the individual reactions to the situation of both champion Blue Meanie and challenger Jason Bane, CAPW officials have chosen to remain very tight-lipped on the situation, and have stated they will let the videotape speak for itself. Once an official airdate for this three-way CAPW Championship saga has been decided on, we hope to be the first to inform you right here in a future press release.

The love/hate relationship these men have is well documented throughout the world, including in the Ring of Honor and Chikara promotions. Both of these men are equals when it comes to wrestling knowledge and technique. Both men as well have grown as favorites in the hearts of the fans. What it will come down to is who wants it more. Will we hear the call for the Ricolla Bomb, or will there be a Hero's Welcome?

EDDIE KINGSTON v "SWEET N SOUR" LARRY SWEENEY
Just the same as Hero and Claudio, Sweeney and Kingston have a personal blood feud that has carried on throughout a great potion of the northeastern independent wrestling scene. Both men trained together, and since that point, much due to Sweeney's obnoxiousness, they have never seen eye to eye. Kingston's hard hitting match with Jigsaw at One Step Closer leads to this position, while Sweeney used his intellect to recruit Sterling James Keenan to his side, and coasted to a victory in their "match". These matches will lead to:

THE MATCH FOR THE CWE UNDISPUTED TITLE
As of now, it's up in the air as to who the favorite in this match is. Every man has one reason as to why he is the favorite, but being that all four men are so unpredictable, it remains up in the air. We will all have to wait until July 20th to find out who will come out on top with the CWE gold!

MATT CROSS v TNA X DIVISION CHAMPION CHRIS SABIN
Being that "Culmination" is setting the standards for what is to come from the CWE, officials determined that needed to up the ante. Enter Chris Sabin. The Total Non Stop Action X Division champion. Sabin has become reknown throughout the wrestling world as being one of the hottest young stars on the scene. Matt Cross. Much like Chris Sabin, Cross is earning a reputation as being one of the most exctiting athletes on the professional wrestling circuit. July 20th, these two superstars will collide!

RAYMOND ROWE v STERLING JAMES KEENAN
SJK has been a force in the CWE since debuting ath "The Dawning". He will face a man who is becoming reknown for being one of the toughest, hardest hitting men in the business. That man is Raymond Rowe. Will his debut be a succesful one? Or will SJK be able to pull out a victory?

JOHNNY GARGANO v PATRICK HAYES
Both of these men have had some hard fought matches in the CWE, and they both have remained undefeated. On July 20th, one of them will continue on, while one will get their first mark in the loss column. Gargano has defeated the likes of Judas Young, Justin Idol, and Gran Akuma, while Patrick Hayes has defeated Apex Allen Amazing, Jason Gory, and Eddie Kingston. One must believe that the winner here will receive a title shot down the line.

THE BOUNCER v "SYKO" SEAN DAHMER
It's been no secret that Dahmer has been on a streak that has yet to be stopped. He has done nothing short of decimated all the people who have been put in front of him. The Bouncer has fared well in his matches as well. July 20th only one man can be the victor.

Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling returns to the famed Turner’s Hall, located at 7325 Guthrie Ave. in Cleveland, on Sunday afternoon June 3 with “A Hot Summer Night“. Doors open at 2 p.m. for our belltime of 3 p.m. This WILL be a taping for CAPW TV on Sports Time Ohio, so bring your signs, banners, and enthusiasm, and be prepared to have your image available in nearly 3 million homes in the state of Ohio, and nationwide on select systems. Tickets are available in advance at any of our ticket outlets, and also at the door the afternoon of the event. Get ready for three solid hours of the best professional wrestling in the area: Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling.

CAPW Tag Titles: Faith in Nothing vs. Robbie Starr (w/ Lexi Lane) & Christian Vaughn
Tag team champions Christian Faith & Vincent Nothing attempt to continue to build their legacy and reputation fresh off of an impressive victory against The Michigan Invasion last month. Their opponents this month don’t have the most experience as a tag team together, but have proven themselves worthy competition: Christian Vaughn along with his partner Robbie Starr, accompanied as always by the lovely Lexi Lane. While Starr & Lane have become quite the prolific couple in CAPW in recent months, it will take more than that to save Starr & Vaughn from the smash-mouth aggressive style that has catapulted Faith In Nothing to the top of the tag ranks for so long. With CAPW’s biggest show ever just weeks away, all four will be looking for major momentum.

Grudge Match: Da Munchies & JT Lightning vs. Mega Sexy
Last month, everyone in attendance at Turner’s Hall witnessed one of the most physical showings of brutality in recent memory, as JT Lightning, Too Cool Abdul, and Dick Trimmins, the mythical World Six-Man Tag Champions, delivered a brutal assault on “Megastar” Marion Fontaine both during and after the match, leaving Fontaine’s chest a sickening combination of red and purple. This Sunday, Fontaine rejoins his “Mega Sexy” tag partners “Simply Sexy” Shawn Blaze and “Pony Boy” TJ Dynamite to battle the enraged veterans one more time. Will the alleged six-man champions beat some more respect into Mega Sexy or will the upstarts pull off a surprise upset over the “champs”?

CAPW Television Title: CK3 vs. Jake Crist
Conrad Kennedy III pulled off the ultimate con last month when he screwed Jason Bane out of the Television Title, thanks in large part to Heavyweight Champion Tracy Smothers. With Bane making his intentions very well known of seeking vengeance on Smothers in the very near future, it leaves CK3 seemingly off the hook for the time being as he begins his Television Title reign. His opposition for his first title defense is one-half of the wildly successful Irish Airborne tag team, Jake Crist. Jake has proven himself as part of one of the pre-eminent tag teams in wrestling today, but will he be as strong of a Television Title contender as he was for tag team gold? And how successful with CK3’s first title defense be?

“M-Dogg 20” Matt Cross vs. The Aftermath vs. Jason Gory
Fresh off of a huge victory in a six-way match that qualified him for Florida’s Jeff Peterson Cup, M-Dogg 20 is back and once again faced with the challenge of multiple high-flying death-defying athletes in the same match. One opposition, The Aftermath, who had the biggest match of his career in that six-way encounter, and is looking to have even greater success this Sunday. The other opposition, Jason Gory, a Hells Canyon, Idaho native who’s been making major strides throughout Pennsylvania, quickly earning a reputation as one of the most talented Jr. Heavyweights in the area today. All three men collide in what is sure to be the most energetic fast-paced encounters of the evening.

Plus: The Bouncer goes one-on-one with Luis Diamante in a special bonus match!

In addition to the following matches already publicly announced:

CAPW Heavyweight Title: Tracy Smothers vs. The Blue Meanie
It’s a feud that has been ongoing for ten years and counting, and shows no signs of letting up. The Smothers/Meanie bad blood began back in the original ECW, with Smothers representing the Full Blooded Italians (FBI) and Meanie representing the Blue World Order (bWo). After a series of unforgettable wrestling contests, as well as dance-offs, nothing was settled. The rivalry was re-ignited two years ago after a falling out between the two stemming from the aftermath of the controversial first WWE ECW One Night Stand pay-per-view. They’ve battled each other all over the US and into Europe, but never have they met for a major singles title, but June 3 in Cleveland the stakes are raised as Meanie attempts to dance his way to CAPW gold, and Smothers attempts to capture any momentum he can leading into a potential ominous encounter with Bane.

CAPW Jr. Heavyweight Title Match: Super Hentai vs. Shiima Xion
Super Hentai solidified his CAPW singles career at our last live event when he defeated Zach Gowen to capture his first singles gold in Cleveland, adding this accomplishment to an extensive list of other titles he’s captured around the world. However, Hentai finds himself the central focus of an extremely competitive division. The first of many deserving challengers is “The Future of Fashion” Shiima Xion, who certainly goes back a long way with Hentai. Not only were Hentai & Shiima a short-lived tag team combination here in CAPW before choosing to pursue careers in the singles ranks, but Hentai also was instrumental in Shiima Xion’s training to become a professional wrestler some years back. It’s a case of teacher vs. student on June 3 as Xion attempts to surpass his former mentor and become Jr. Heavyweight champion.

Jason Bane vs. CJ O’Doyle
The 6’8 300+ pound former Television Champion Bane knows he may be a mere 2 months away from the most important match of his career. On August 5, Bane will step foot inside a career-shortening 15-foot-high steel cage and challenge Tracy Smothers for the CAPW Heavyweight Title should Smothers escape June 3 with title in tact. June 3 will be CAPW’s and Bane’s final stop on the road to August 5’s “Night of Legends” extravaganza and Bane is looking for every bit of momentum attainable, as is Smothers. Bane has plenty of motivation, having been screwed out of the Heavyweight Title countless times, and also losing his Television Title to Conrad Kennedy III thanks in large part to Smothers. CJ O’Doyle is a major player in the eastern Pennsylvania wrestling scene, but with the focus and rage building inside Bane, he’ll have his work cut out for him. Will Smothers and Bane be able to stay out of the other’s way or will tempers explode again just as they did last time they were in the same building one month ago?

Johnny Gargano vs. Metal Master
The 19-year-old prodigy Gargano is coming off a career-high win against TNA Star Alex Shelley a few weeks ago. While Shelley has been overheard requesting a rematch, rumor has it Gargano has vehemently denied the request, claiming he’s already proven he’s “better than Shelley”. Gargano, however, has signed on to meet The Metal Master, a mysterious enigma that has reportedly been surfacing in numerous locations throughout North American and Japan. While we can’t decipher much of the Master’s past, based on reports, it seems he is also a master on the mat and will prove to be more than enough competition for the upstart Gargano. Can Gargano continue his streak of success?

Jessica Havok vs. Neveah
We recently told you of the open challenge set forth by Jessica Havok, the newfound personal bodyguard of one JT Lightning, among JT’s other frequest associates. Havok has without a doubt proven herself in just a short span of time to be the most dominant female athlete to ever step into a CAPW ring, competing against multiple opponents in one night, regardless of the size, experience level, or even gender. Havok’s open challenge has been answered by a woman known as Neveah, a tough individual who has made her name throughout the Ohio area in recent times. She could score the win of her career on June 3rd or she may become the latest in a growing list of Jessica Havok’s victims.

B.E.T. vs. The Clash
Tyrone Evans and Josh Emanuel have formed a very formidable and intimidating duo to add to the already stacked CAPW Tag Team Division, calling themselves B.E.T. While we’re still unsure what exactly that stands for, their track record in the ring is something that cannot be mistaken. However, B.E.T. did not count on seeing a couple of old rivals come onto the CAPW scene shortly afterward: The team of Brian Bender & Ernie Ballz, collectively known as The Clash, followed B.E.T. into CAPW and were quick to make a challenge. These teams have met several times throughout Ohio in the past, but on June 3 their feud gets taken to the next level as it will be on display in CAPW for the very first time.

CAPW BIGGEST SHOW EVER COMING AUGUST 5!

Traditionally, CAPW provides its biggest and best live event of the calendar year during the summer as Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling celebrates its anniversary in style. This year, however, CAPW takes it one step farther. The announcement was made official this past Sunday that on Sunday, August 5, Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling makes its debut in the Plain Dealer Pavilion, located on 2014 Sycamore Street to celebrate our anniversary with “A Night of Legends”. It’ll be the largest, most star-studded happening in Cleveland All-Pro history! Come join the record-breaking crowd that will be on hand to witness all the biggest, best, and brightest stars from wrestling’s past, present, and future.

Following a wild altercation at our last live event, the evening’s main event has already been penciled in. Should Tracy Smothers escape our June 3rd live event still CAPW Heavyweight Champion, he will finally step into the ring one-on-one against the 6’8 300+ pound unstoppable Jason Bane. Smothers has been ducking Bane’s challenge and screwing him at every opportunity, culminating at our last event when Smothers was directly responsible for Bane losing his Television Title to Conrad Kennedy III, shattering Bane’s hopes of unifying CAPW’s two top singles titles for the second time. Now, Bane will face Smothers one-on-one, and there will be nowhere for Tracy to hide, no shortcut for him to take… because the match takes place inside a 15 foot high STEEL CAGE!

Cleveland All Pro Wrestling News: May 24, 2007

UPDATED CARD FOR SUNDAY JUNE 3!

Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling returns to the famed Turner’s Hall, located at 7325 Guthrie Ave. in Cleveland, on Sunday afternoon June 3 with “A Hot Summer Night“. Doors open at 2 p.m. for our belltime of 3 p.m. This WILL be a taping for CAPW TV on Sports Time Ohio, so bring your signs, banners, and enthusiasm, and be prepared to have your image available in nearly 3 million homes in the state of Ohio, and nationwide on select systems. Tickets are available in advance at any of our ticket outlets, and also at the door the afternoon of the event. Get ready for three solid hours of the best professional wrestling in the area: Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling.

Just added to the card this week:

Jason Bane vs. CJ O’Doyle
The 6’8 300+ pound former Television Champion Bane knows he may be a mere 2 months away from the most important match of his career. On August 5, Bane will step foot inside a career-shortening 15-foot-high steel cage and challenge Tracy Smothers for the CAPW Heavyweight Title should Smothers escape June 3 with title in tact. June 3 will be CAPW’s and Bane’s final stop on the road to August 5’s “Night of Legends” extravaganza and Bane is looking for every bit of momentum attainable, as is Smothers. Bane has plenty of motivation, having been screwed out of the Heavyweight Title countless times, and also losing his Television Title to Conrad Kennedy III thanks in large part to Smothers. CJ O’Doyle is a major player in the eastern Pennsylvania wrestling scene, but with the focus and rage building inside Bane, he’ll have his work cut out for him. Will Smothers and Bane be able to stay out of the other’s way or will tempers explode again just as they did last time they were in the same building one month ago?

Johnny Gargano vs. Metal Master
The 19-year-old prodigy Gargano is coming off a career-high win against TNA Star Alex Shelley a few weeks ago. While Shelley has been overheard requesting a rematch, rumor has it Gargano has vehemently denied the request, claiming he’s already proven he’s “better than Shelley”. Gargano, however, has signed on to meet The Metal Master, a mysterious enigma that has reportedly been surfacing in numerous locations throughout North American and Japan. While we can’t decipher much of the Master’s past, based on reports, it seems he is also a master on the mat and will prove to be more than enough competition for the upstart Gargano. Can Gargano continue his streak of success?

Jessica Havok vs. Neveah
We recently told you of the open challenge set forth by Jessica Havok, the newfound personal bodyguard of one JT Lightning, among JT’s other frequest associates. Havok has without a doubt proven herself in just a short span of time to be the most dominant female athlete to ever step into a CAPW ring, competing against multiple opponents in one night, regardless of the size, experience level, or even gender. Havok’s open challenge has been answered by a woman known as Neveah, a tough individual who has made her name throughout the Ohio area in recent times. She could score the win of her career on June 3rd or she may become the latest in a growing list of Jessica Havok’s victims.

In addition to the following matches already publicly announced:

CAPW Heavyweight Title: Tracy Smothers vs. The Blue Meanie
It’s a feud that has been ongoing for ten years and counting, and shows no signs of letting up. The Smothers/Meanie bad blood began back in the original ECW, with Smothers representing the Full Blooded Italians (FBI) and Meanie representing the Blue World Order (bWo). After a series of unforgettable wrestling contests, as well as dance-offs, nothing was settled. The rivalry was re-ignited two years ago after a falling out between the two stemming from the aftermath of the controversial first WWE ECW One Night Stand pay-per-view. They’ve battled each other all over the US and into Europe, but never have they met for a major singles title, but June 3 in Cleveland the stakes are raised as Meanie attempts to dance his way to CAPW gold, and Smothers attempts to capture any momentum he can leading into a potential ominous encounter with Bane.

CAPW Jr. Heavyweight Title Match: Super Hentai vs. Shiima Xion
Super Hentai solidified his CAPW singles career at our last live event when he defeated Zach Gowen to capture his first singles gold in Cleveland, adding this accomplishment to an extensive list of other titles he’s captured around the world. However, Hentai finds himself the central focus of an extremely competitive division. The first of many deserving challengers is “The Future of Fashion” Shiima Xion, who certainly goes back a long way with Hentai. Not only were Hentai & Shiima a short-lived tag team combination here in CAPW before choosing to pursue careers in the singles ranks, but Hentai also was instrumental in Shiima Xion’s training to become a professional wrestler some years back. It’s a case of teacher vs. student on June 3 as Xion attempts to surpass his former mentor and become Jr. Heavyweight champion.

Grudge Match: JT Lightning vs. Marion Fontaine
JT Lightning & Da Munchies have spent the past several months claiming to be the “World Six-Man Tag Team Champions” despite the fact that particular title has been defunct for the past several years. To prove their point, they’ve presented a series of trophies, medals, and alleged accomplishments that are irrational and impossible to say the least. While you often can’t take what comes out of these men’s mouths seriously, one thing that must always be taken seriously is their ability and track record inside the ring. Marion Fontaine learned that lesson the hard way, as JT & Da Munchies absolutely obliterated him with countless knife-edge chops, turning Fontaine’s chest several different shades of red and purple. A rematch has been signed, but will the “Mega Star” be able to fend off JT’s uncontrolled aggression or will one-third of the mythical tag team champions make another statement?

Da Munchies vs. Shawn Blaze & Ponyboy TJ Dynamite
Da Munchies, Dick Trimmins & Too Cool Abdul, were also very instrumental in the massacre laid into Marion Fontaine, and Fontaine’s partners in Mega Sexy, “Simply Sexy” Shawn Blaze, and the team’s newest recruit Ponyboy TJ Dynamite certainly have not forgotten it. Blaze & Dynamite attempt to extract revenge for their partner in this tag team encounter. Four men who certainly are not well-liked by CAPW fans, but have quite a bit to fight for as far as pride is concerned.

B.E.T. vs. The Clash
Tyrone Evans and Josh Emanuel have formed a very formidable and intimidating duo to add to the already stacked CAPW Tag Team Division, calling themselves B.E.T. While we’re still unsure what exactly that stands for, their track record in the ring is something that cannot be mistaken. However, B.E.T. did not count on seeing a couple of old rivals come onto the CAPW scene shortly afterward: The team of Brian Bender & Ernie Ballz, collectively known as The Clash, followed B.E.T. into CAPW and were quick to make a challenge. These teams have met several times throughout Ohio in the past, but on June 3 their feud gets taken to the next level as it will be on display in CAPW for the very first time.

CAPW BIGGEST SHOW EVER COMING AUGUST 5!

Traditionally, CAPW provides its biggest and best live event of the calendar year during the summer as Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling celebrates its anniversary in style. This year, however, CAPW takes it one step farther. The announcement was made official this past Sunday that on Sunday, August 5, Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling makes its debut in the Plain Dealer Pavilion, located on 2014 Sycamore Street to celebrate our anniversary with “A Night of Legends”. It’ll be the largest, most star-studded happening in Cleveland All-Pro history! Come join the record-breaking crowd that will be on hand to witness all the biggest, best, and brightest stars from wrestling’s past, present, and future.

Following a wild altercation at our last live event, the evening’s main event has already been penciled in. Should Tracy Smothers escape our June 3rd live event still CAPW Heavyweight Champion, he will finally step into the ring one-on-one against the 6’8 300+ pound unstoppable Jason Bane. Smothers has been ducking Bane’s challenge and screwing him at every opportunity, culminating at our last event when Smothers was directly responsible for Bane losing his Television Title to Conrad Kennedy III, shattering Bane’s hopes of unifying CAPW’s two top singles titles for the second time. Now, Bane will face Smothers one-on-one, and there will be nowhere for Tracy to hide, no shortcut for him to take… because the match takes place inside a 15 foot high STEEL CAGE!
