Gathering of the Juggalos at Cave-In-Rocks, IL

Once again the time has come for ICP’s Gathering of the Juggalos. YEAH! This year the throw-down takes place at Cave-In-Rock, Illinois, from August 9th through the 12th. The 8th annual, 96-hour long, gigantic campground super bash features gang loads of entertainment. Over 100 music acts will perform, including multi-platinum groups such as Bone Thugs N Harmony, Mushroom Head, Powerman 5000, Twiztid, Insane Clown Posse, and many more.

Also, the Gathering features countless entertaining shows by comedians, magicians, skateboarders, DJ’s, and of course, several forms of in ring competition featuring as always, Juggalo Championship Wrestling. This year, they’ve got Women’s Exotic Wrestling, Foxy Boxing, and a 3-day, fat ass dose of JCW action. And thanks to ICP’s weekly Internet show entitled Slam TV, JCW’s bizarre characters and unique brand of wrestling action is now hotter than ever before.

The DVD release of Slam TV Episodes 1 through 9 featuring “West Side Wars” comes out nationwide on September 18th. It will be sold everywhere from Best Buy to Hot Topic. In fact, JCW’s DVDs will be the first wrestling DVDs ever sold at the entire Hot Topic chain.

Slam TV’s hardcore wrestling action, (hosted vulgarly and explicitly by ICP), has gained a very large following among Juggalos and other wrestling fans alike. The hot storylines and major feuds all come to a head at this years Gathering on Saturday night, August 11th, at midnight. The big event is billed as “Bloodymania!” Psychopathic Records, Inc. and JCW promise a huge production, with a lot of incredible talent and they vow to bring forth a show that will frizzle and singe your butt hairs.

As people try to comprehend the events surrounding the Benoit Family Tragedy, I wanted to attempt to provide a time line of events.

I know there is lot more testimony, unattributed “knowledge”, and misleading information out there that I am not including. As much as possible, I hope this will help some wrap their heads around all of these events:

- September 1998: Chris Benoit’s only known police encounter occurs when arrested on a DUI charge in Peachtree City, GA.

- 2001: Dr. Phil Astin’s license to practice medicine is suspended for three months for reasons related to “competence of character”.

- At least 2002: Daniel Benoit is diagnosed with Fragile X Syndrome and is prescribed growth hormone. Chris Benoit describes is as “a learning disability much like autism” that that National Fragile X Syndrome Foundation calls “the world's leading cause of inherited intellectual disability”.

- May 12, 2003: Nancy Benoit files for divorce saying Chris Benoit threatened her and broke furniture. A restraining order was issued against Chris Benoit.

Nancy was found upstairs in a family rope, bound, and wrapped in towel. There was also blood under her head, meaning possible signs of a struggle. Daniel was found in an upstairs bedroom. Daniel also had old needle marks in his arm, believed to be from growth hormone. Nancy and Daniel also had a bible placed next to them. Chris is found in the basement weight room with a cord attached to weights from his weight equipment wrapped around his neck. Prescription steroids are found in the home.

* In the first of TWO MAIN EVENTS, TNA Superstar “The Samoan Submission Machine” SAMOA JOE faces “The Savior of Pro Wrestling” CHRIS HERO.

This hard hitting technical match is a wrestling dream. Will the powerful abilities of Joe overcome the mat wizardy of Hero? With the crowd firmly behind Joe, I think Hero will find himself on the tapping end of a submission.

* In the SECOND MAIN EVENT, a 4 Corner No DQ Survival Match, TNA’s Monster ABYSS will face “The King of Diamonds” EDDIE KINGSTON, New England’s Nutcase MICHAEL SANE, and STEVE “MONSTA” MACK.

With this collection of talent, who knows what to expect? The hidden gem in this match is Michael Sane – this whackjob is as insane as and almost as intense as the monster Abyss himself. Kingston is always willing to go the limit to prove himself. But all of them will have to contend with one man who has gone to the limit & has held more gold than all of them combined in Steve “Monsta” Mack. But I think the uncontrollable Abyss might be too much.
* TNA’s ALEX SHELLEY vs. TRENT ACID vs. WSX’s HUMAN TORNADO

Now this is a dream match fans will salivate over. In what will be an intense match, there is simply no underdog. Shelley has the skill to outwrestle most in the world. Trent Acid is someone who can go toe-to-toe with anyone in any style. Tornado will bust a move in any ring or on any opponent’s face. Trent Acid is who I see walking out with his hand raised
in what will be an awesome match.

* Former ECW champion JUSTIN CREDIBLE VS. RECKLESS YOUTH

Will a real Extreme icon put away the King of Independents? Or will the Technician take out the former ECW Heavyweight champ? These two will take one another to the limit and back. My call? Credible has always been the one to do anything for a win and will find any underhanded way he can to win.

* JASON BLADE vs. DANNY DEMANTO with TALIA MADISON

Danny Demanto definitely is walking into that ring with a size advantage and more agile than given credit for. Meanwhile, Jason Blade comes with his own fast paced intensity. But with Talia at his side, I think Demanto will be too much to overcome.

* OUTCAST KILLAHS (Oman Tortuga & Diablo Santiago) vs. CANADIAN SUPERSTARS

It’s always a fight when the OCK make their way to the ring. But The Canadian Superstars have never been known to back down. But I think the Superstars are hungry enough to prove to everyone they can take out the best & it’ll start with Outcast Killahs.

* KOKO B. WARE vs. NILES YOUNG with NOEL HARLOW

Koko is a true legend by ever concept of the word, deserving the respect of all in wrestling. But Niles Young, recently headbutting a crowd member, then smashing area fans, has shown he has no respect for anyone. Unfortunately, I think the vile duo of Young and Harlow will do all the underhanded damage they can to find a win.

* THE ZOMBIE vs. MALTA THE DAMAGER

Malta is looking to do one thing – Destroy. But my call? The man with no soul, the most talked about person from the debut of ECW on Sci-Fi – The Zombie.
